- I investigated the Most Hostile Rugby Derby in South Africa! I visited Loftus Versveld to watch the Bulls take on the Stormers. This is by far the biggest rugby rivalry in South Africa which makes it the most hostile. What an experience and what a game!

Funny story: I know one of the senior coaches at Stormers. I did him a favour and he hooked me up with tickets.
I rocked up in the Stormers room with a jacket on and when I took it off to reveal what I wore underneath, they laughingly jeered at me hahaha - GO BLUE BULLS!! Forever Blou

I was there too, on the grand stand top tier, man it was amazing, took my little boy 5 years old and daughter 7 with, and they enjoyed it so much, they say they cant wait to go to Loftus again

One thing you have all wrong mate is the supposed "hostile atmosphere". The banter and pisstaking before, during and after matches are always rife, but always in good spirit. We're South African rugby fans, not British soccer hooligans. We don't tolerate hooliganism at rugby matches (or any sporting event, for that matter). And so, as always, everybody enjoyed a true spectacle, some excellent rugby from both sides, and a good time was had by all.
Let's not have a superiority complex here bro.
