Great video mate! Think the lights had turned red before you took some of those positions at the start and personally feel marshals should reset non at fault positions there as I equally wouldn’t expect you to slam on the anchors inviting another incident…. Nice one tho , some great racing!
The lights definitely changed, but I was focused on avoiding everyone, not what colours the lights were! 😂 My jump of a position on the restart was a little bit cheeky though, I'll give you that one! I was in all honesty very surprised they didn't just reset the positions as we were so early in the race.
I love the “how?” At the end 😂 Great race and do wonder what happened to give you the penalty between you and the driver behind for the fight with #3… though I do feel like arguing flags/penalties with staff would make the club events feel a bit too heated instead of competitive fun
Absolutely, it was definitely a questionable call, but I let it go. As you say, a bit of fun - no need to be arguing for every warning etc. I think the how was regarding the stopped kart (I think it was my team mate Chris actually) - I don't understand how/why people are stopping on the track to talk to marshal's unless there is an issue with their kart. The marshal's shouldn't be allowing it for one...
great racing there mate👍,always nice to come to a video from ya and since i have only been teamsport twice so far because you know its pretty expensive, always nice to learn some new techniques from your driving but there is one thing that i need to know, how do you keep at a slow and steady speed in yellow flags because im either just accelerating and brking or going to fast,so it would be nice for some advice from a pro😀
thanks for the info ill be sure to use it in my next session and sorry for my spelling its awful🤣for the record in my original comment i was ment to say 'come home to a video from ya,@@RobGoesRacing
Hey Rob, great video as usual and looking forward to the next! I was thinking about coming to Sheffield for a members 342 in a few weeks do you have any tips?
Cheers! 342 are good, and the karts are loving the colder temps at the moment. Erm, don't crash!? 😂 Let us know when, if I'm around I'll pop down! Flat out round the top back section, the lower pits complex is grippier than you'd think.
Usually not. But if you're in a kart that is particularly understeery, then rotating the kart is easier with a quick lock of the brakes. Exit speed is the most important thing in slow revving rental karts (with minimum corner speed a very close second).
@@RobGoesRacing Thanks, I go teamsport harlow often and am focusing on trying to get a sub 33 sec lap (Best is a 34.1) and at the moment im slightly trying to drift around the hairpins for, as you said, more rotation. However next time I go ill give it a shot focusing more on exit speed and not drifting / skidding.

1.1k already! Not long until 1.5🎉
It's too quick! By the time I organise a celebration we'll be at 2k 😂

I just lightly rest my floor on the throttle, just enough to keep the motor above idle

I didn't even spot that! 😂👍

Are you sure it was you who got shown the no bumping board at 23:45 ?
Yes, it was shown to us both, (The kart in front and myself) I checked afterwards.
Which camera are You using mate? Ours looks great when Charlie's using it but when on my lid it's very jumpy. Charlie wants lessons from You too!😂
It's a GoPro hero 11 black 👍
Hey Rob,
Where did you get your racing gear?
Most of it is from Demon Tweeks 👍
Is trying to skid / drift slightly around hairpins faster than not skidding at all?
Usually not. But if you're in a kart that is particularly understeery, then rotating the kart is easier with a quick lock of the brakes.

Id love to come to Sheffield and go up against you,
I'm easy to find! 😂
Which karts are the worst ones?
21 has been particularly bad for a while now
Number 16 is horrible
