Your exactly right , the cost of a couple tubes of grease every now and then are far cheaper than the machine cost. My rider is a 13 year old Husqvarna that still looks new and I've had to replace the deck belt once. I put a coat of wax on the body as well as the deck, I found that the grass don't really like to stick to it and cleanup is much easier. Thanks for sharing this video.
Hi Great job, one thing I noticed, is when the deck is off, one can grease the drive shaft, at the back joint that takes the power to the rear hydrostatic unit, on our X740 it has two grease points on the shaft to make it easier as its hard to turn as the other end is connected to the engine. I hope this is useful to you. Thank you for your video
Hey, Ethan from the United States here! I have a 2019 X739, I notice the difference with the UK version from the US Version, the US version does not have Turning signal lights or a horn. They actually have reverse lights where those orange tail lights are. Anyways the X700 and the X900 are the same thing pretty much, but the X900 is the UK model. Anyways! Good job, I also have a Snowblower for mine.
Daggerwin, after almost 30 years John Deere has kept the same layout in there mowers, other than the body panels and a few other small cosmetic things your mower is sitting on about the same chassis my 445 is and still has the same hydrostatic transmission
One of the fixing studs on the middle blade housing was considerably rusty, I think it would of been a good idea to of changed it before it got any worse. Lovely tractor you have there.
There is another restoration coming, it will be one video of the full restoration (this prevents me stopping half way through) I still have to finish the 185 too
My cub cadet 7000 withe the 6ft wide finish mower needs greasing every time I use it. And every time I use it I pump the grease gun till grease comes out of the little hole's.
It sounds worse on camera, but yes it has a knock to it when cold. I have looked into this and all of the 1525 and 1526 tractors (sold in the USA) sound exactly the same
Who wears gloves! I own and do lawncare and landscape bissness and I do service (change oil, blow out fuel filter, grease wheel bearings, and belts spindles and sometimes change tires) I do my service every 200 running hours ( I have run toro and toro just came out with the horizon technology and I keeps track of the run hours and lets you know when it is time to change the oil.) Love modern technology these days LOL.
Jaciel Holguin Chavez how do you know if he does or doesn't own his own mower business? It makes me laugh that people just have negative things say all the time. He seems pretty clued up on the subject. If he wants to be cool by saying he has mower business you must be trying to show people you are a jealouse loser?
Jaciel Holguin Chavez how do you know I have a lawncare bissness I would be saying it if it wasn't true, than how would I have just have bought a brand new 2019 chevy 6500HD dump truck that costed well over $100,000!
Not to state the obvious but the reason you were get a high patch in your mow Path in the last video was caused by all the build up on the center blade area
no offence, your a good lad working with the machines and learning as you go on, but if you want to manage that land just buy a couple of sheep, they do a better mowing job than any other machine!

In the FS19 add, there is a JD Model D keychain! Was this a voice over?
Are you gonna do a (big) restauration this year. And its nice to see that you take care of your machines.
There is another restoration coming, it will be one video of the full restoration (this prevents me stopping half way through)

Good video 10 out of 10
@daggerwin couldnt you use a jet wash?
It is amazing how manny hours you put on a machine like when n bought my tracktor it was on 5 hours in 3 days nitygrity work it is now stading on 176
What oil goes into the gear box on the top of the deck? Great vid.
My dealer said to wash the engine off after every 5 mowes. My x485 still looks new.
Do daggerwin garden one open day and show your tractors an idea for
What happened to restoring the JD 185?
Real life videos are great
And a jhondeer ride on mower and for the farm we have two big new Holland at school
Do drive the massy on road and where do you go with it
It may be different in the UK but doesn't the mower deck have just one dolly wheel on the side?
Farming New Zealand only on the older ones
What kind of Degreaser did you use to clean the deck? How did you apply it? It looks like it did a good job. I want to try it on my X540.
It's called Gunk and I just sprayed it on
Daggerwin Thanks, much appreciated
Dagger, how do yoy know how to do all this stuff.
Are you a mechanic/ agricultural engineer?
It stops it from rusting do you spray the bottom with WD40
At school we have one of them
Have you finished the 315?
How did you afford this thing? $12000
Is that brand new?
when is the next lorry build video coming out daggerwin out and love videos
the next episode will be the last, compiling it all now...a week or two
Daggerwin Extra kool cant wait to see it
Was it just me or was the Massey idling rough?
It sounds worse on camera, but yes it has a knock to it when cold. I have looked into this and all of the 1525 and 1526 tractors (sold in the USA) sound exactly the same
Is your massey fergason petrol or diesel
Why didn't you sharpen the blades?
We have a 48 inch deck and I got nearly half a dust bin load from the grass under the deck
Haha yeah it can really build up
Where is videos of the old John deere
How many hours are on that Massey dagger?
38 i think
You mind it is a pto
Please watch the oil level in the deck gear box...in America I've seen problems with mysterious disappearing oil
Thanks for the tip :)
Surprised you didn't sharpen those blades. They looked pretty beat up.
d hamby
Agree, one of the most important tasks aside from greaseing the pulley spindles.
I will do that at 50hr

Daggerwin you so need to get an impact driver I recently got one now my life is much better
You look after your tools they’ll look after you that’s for sure
First I thought it said (25th service).
Im shocked you didn't sharpen the blades.
They have only done 25hr and they are giving a clean cut...I will wait till 50hr
Wut! They're in perfect condition relative to my John Deere 1550 TerrainCut they really poor looking and lots of big dents, have only got 13 hours.
Dagger win, are you a farmer and a yter irl?
Dagger you are in te reaction video from giants ABOUT THE TRAILER
This much grass with only 25 hours seems like a design flaw.
Maybe...for now I am putting it down to the mulch plug
This is true
Oh your supposed to service these things every 25 hours I though it was 75 my iskei hasn’t been done in about 60 might have to get the book out
Maybe but it's an Iseki so no doubt it will be perfect lol
Daggerwin Extra haha I wish it was
3rd
no offence, your a good lad working with the machines and learning as you go on, but if you want to manage that land just buy a couple of sheep, they do a better mowing job than any other machine!
