Honestly, being vanilla is what makes you stand out ( In the best way)! Your family seems truly genuine which is a breath of fresh air. There is enough drama in the world. Just watching the way your kids have thrived being in such a loving and emotionally mature home is inspiring. My word for the year: Genuine.

As a new viewer, I don’t know if you’ve discussed your attitude toward including the kids (how much, when, etc). I love seeing your kids and appreciate how naturally they come in and out of the videos. You are some of the rarest vloggers who do not capitalize on your kids (selling products or themselves). One thing I love to watch is family time interaction on trips, on the farms, etc, because then one can see the learning and sharing that’s going on.

I'll try to make this comment concise because I feel like I have a lot to say haha.
I started following you guys when I was 17 and now I'm 23 (24 in Feb) and as a gay guy who struggled with coming out, your channel and you guys were both a beacon of hope in my life.
I've read various comments below this video and I think we all share the same feeling: your authenticity, the sense of peace and joy and let's be honest...sincerity that you guys share with us is what makes your family so special.
As of now I can't think of a specific video I would like to see, but I wanted to say that being yourselves and not losing who you both are in the name of social media is what makes me want to keep following your journey. In this day and age of fakeness and "positivity-only" channels, you guys make me feel at home and seen.
Maybe you could do more in-depth videos discussing married life, little things that you both still cherish from each other and the kind of stuff that gives insight into the building blocks of your relationship (I'm aware you have done similar stuff to this, but I think there's a lot of themes that could be explored).
So much for trying to be concise lol, thank you for being you and sharing parts of your life with us. ✨️

As a new RUclips viewer at some point l would like a recap as to the evolution of Holiday House and the Farm. Love all the farm animals.

I’m glad to hear that you guys are looking at going back to the RUclips format and creating videos. I must admit I do miss the old videos of updates on your projects, you guys having fun with each other and the kids. PJ being funny and silly and farting. The Vino and vents are nice, but I have to admit I have not really been tuning in as much lately as they tend to always be about the same questions or Taylor Swift. I might suggest the Vino and vents go to once a month instead of weekly, might make them a bit more special.
I have a husband and kids, so family wasn’t the thing that drew me to your videos. At the beginning it was your projects. Your family came later. I loved watching everything from, redesigning and building your houses to just small projects that you work on for the house or the property. These days I tend to feel like you give us a small update, and then we never really hear about it again for a long time.
Aside from projects I do love seeing all the animals. I follow you on Instagram and I think Twitter as well, so I think the videos should be more in-depth and let the Instagram be the quick bites to prepare us for the next video. I remember you guys talking about hiring someone to help you, because the videos were so time-consuming. Whatever happened with that?
We have an RV, so we actually stayed in your neighbourhood recently at a KOA on our way to Florida. I have to admit it was kind of cool to see some of the area that you guys are always talking about.
As far as a word, how about communication or follow through. We can all do better with those. Good luck with whatever you decide.

The first home improvement show I ever watched was This Old House with Bob Vila. I loved the weekly episodes where they showed the nitty gritty of what went into renovating an old house. They showed how to correct problems, undo previous bad renovations/repairs, and use proper materials and procedures to achieve a new look while staying in character with the time period of the house. I loved the how to and why of what was being done.
Norm Abrams was a joy to watch when it came to woodworking and tool usage. Maybe that’s boring to some people. We’re so used to instant gratification. A six or twelve month project done in one hour gives us unrealistic expectations for what and how things should be done when it comes to our own homes. I love Home Town and Fixer Upper but they aren’t realistic time wise.
So, I guess what I’m trying to say is if you were to do vlogs showing the weekly progress of fixing and renovating a home, I would be very interested in watching. What’s the process for evaluating whether the home is worth fixing? What’s going on with the foundation, electrical, plumbing, HVAC? How do you deal with contractors? What sweat equity is worth it and when should you hire out and why? How do you find reliable contractors? What trends will become classic and which will date the home? How do you choose finishes? Finally, please show us how you lay out a gallery wall. What is worthy of display? How do you choose your decor and where do you find it?
Do others feel this way? I don’t know but this is my opinion. I’ll watch you because I think you’re both great and I love your kids and extended family. Maybe that’s boring but it’s real life to me.💕

I’ve watched y’all for about seven or so years and for the most part enjoyed seeing you and your family grow. I know most of the players from parents, siblings, relatives, friends and your children. It’s so nice to see a “normal” gay family work. I hate vino and vent. I tried it a few times but found it was a constant battle getting my thoughts across, sitting through some really dumb questions and really just attempting to be a valued member of the group. I don’t participate any more feeling it’s a cop out so you don’t have to do a full length video. There. That’s my thought on it. Me? I’m now a gay 80 year old retired Canadian psychologist having had two husbands in my life who had the audacity to die on me. I have a group of ever decreasing numbers of friends and watch you for normalcy. I will keep watching you until my last day, or heaven forbid, you cancel all of this. Your videos are perfect as they are. More day in the life vlogs, Q&A vlogs, videos of kids on the farm with the animals, definitely more farm videos, Family trips etc..I love watching your videos, feels like I am hanging out with friends for those 15-20mins. Happy New Year again PJ and Thomas! ❤

Word suggestions-authenticity: being aware of how you feel and what you mean and expressing that productively (a good reminder for everyone); small moments: it’s the in-between times we take for granted, and what may seem insignificant for you may be significant for someone else. Sometimes seeing the mundane in others helps ourselves feel seen; and last, adventure: cultivate curiosity about new experiences and look for ways to weave a new perspective into old routines. This list also reflects my recommendation for 2024. Be you, continue to embrace growth and challenges, and remember what good you might be doing for someone just by letting us tag along virtually.

Maybe you should consider to find a rhythm not on such hard fixed schedule, to bring more wellbeing in your obviously stressful allday life. Greetings from Berlin, Germany ❤❤❤

You guys live a type of life that I will never experience. That’s ok because I love my life it’s just very different from yours. I really enjoy looking in on you and your family and seeing you on your adventures. I would like to see more of your projects in detail. Don’t feel you have to put everything in the one video. You can show PJ doing something and you can make the whole video about that project. Just a thought. It does my heart a whole world of good to know that, there are families like yours out there everywhere. I don’t interact with people as often as I would like so you guys and your videos are helping me with that. I feel like I’m a part of your community. Thank you for that. 🙂👋🏻

I don't have a word, but I do have a saying that a little Nigerian lady I used to work with told me. When she saw I was having a bad day at work, she would always tell me, "Don't let people take your JOY". There are so many people that are more than ready to do this. Besides it's giving your power away. I'm not one of those people who gets mad because you guys aren't posting content that I want to see. Keep posting what you've been posting. I love seeing what you are accomplishing in your lives. So, you won't ever hear any complaining from me.

Another idea… “who knows me better?” One of you sits between the other and your mother, you think of questions to see who answers the question correctly. You have the answers written down so can’t change your answer after hearing their responses. Have seen many people doing this, lots of fun to watch!

Happy New Year guys. I have to admit I'm a little bored with Vino and Vent, maybe shorten to 1/2 hr. In summer, it would great to show farm life and give a weekly update of how the week went. Keeping my word "minimalize" for this year. Like you, need to find another one. Heard a catchy phrase this morning. "Do more in 2024". Look forward to more content. Happy days ahead.

I found your database of the early videos about gay (the real everyday) living and relationship stuff very helpful. Also some of the helps you have made which are good for people is sharing successes and failures of things with the farm / real-estate / budgeting / cooking / child care and challenges / fitness ..... what works for you (keeping your private life still private).....
