The devs setup a website to report bugs, and they respond directly to questions on discord. In a week most of the bugs will be gone. I stayed up all night playing, it was a real nostalgia trip.
@@KingTraut Nah, it'll be gone in days, day one patch came out and it fixed several of the bugs I've been seeing, got a nice 20 FPS boost too. They're actively improving the game really quickly, more than I expected. Wouldn't be surprised if by week one or maybe two for most of the problems to be fixed

You can turn it off in settings or even turn off individual parts. Personally, I wish you could activate it with a button so you can pop it up when needed and then turn it off when not needed
Never thought I’d see the day that something as niche as STALKER would become mainstream. Better yet, it’s everything us stalker fans have been hoping for in a sequel and then some. My biggest fear is that it would be causilized for the mainstream audience and I’m glad that ISN’T the case. It’s literally a modern STALKER game.
I’m just happy this game released at all, bugs or not. Multiple head developers dying during release and having to relocate an entire game studio out of an active war zone but still pushing forward and not canceling the game is a feat to behold

Yeah there is a general consensus of liking the game but the performance and bugs are abysmal. It kinda reminds me of cyberpunk in a way. An amazing game trapped behind an endless list of shitty performance and bugs.

I have friends who used to make fun of me for loving this series because of how janky and outdated it looked, i was playing it in tge 2010s mind you. They didnt even like fallout till the show came out and now theyre playing stalker 2 while im currently too busy or just generally unable to play.... what a world
I agree and I did, they're more like acquaintances if anything, but I still have them on steam and social media so it was more a statement of how funny it is to see the shift in popularity for both series rather than me complaining about having had bad friends lol.
The game is fantastic I think so far, 6 hours in on Xbox so far and im enjoying it. I’ve not ran into any bugs apart from major stick drift on the right analog stick but not an issue, just had to mess around with aiming options for a bit. It’s a challenging game where running away is sometimes the best option
Sometimes? Shooting mutants at all is a total waste of ammo because they don't drop any. In the ideal run for this game you'd never fight a mutant. It feels a lot more survival-esque in that regard.
Technical issues are real, I'm playing on an i9-13900k with a 4090. Traversal stutter is noticeable, have to use DLSS for high/epic settings to have a smooth framerate. Having said that, it's very fun to play and those issues haven't significantly diminished my fun, the game world is just so engrossing. Only non-technical glitch i had was with a flesh. Shot it point blank with a shotgun as it was charging me. It's body ragdolled like 30' up into the air. Quite the anomaly
Ive been having so much fun with this game, I dont know much abt the series at all, I played one of if not the og game when this one was announced, I love the mechanics of the game they were so inventive at the time and this game holds onto those mechanics and lowk wipes any modern singleplayer shooter especially this open world type, It really reminds me a lot of tarkov but minus the online players and adding the zone, so its still a good challenge like takov, my only real critique is the “yellow paint” which seems to exist nowadays in games like farcry is present here, and i feel like that takes away the fun of finding loot and figuring out where to go, also its kinda like damn you think I’m so dumb that you need to outline important things with bright yellow road paint, but thats such a small gripe, overall this is my favorite new game since forza motorsport (2023) an overall terribly recieved game, me giving forza a 6 i give stalker 2 anywhere from 8 to 9 maybe in the future the new shiny toy effect will wear off but for now im grinding ts. This a lil extra for anyone who actually read all this bs, what do you guys think about Avowed based off what is known, who else is exited for it??
The devs are also working on fixes and content updates down the line. The reason it released like this was because Xbox is an asshole and pushed for an earlier release for game pass.
Headsup Charlie and everyone else entering the zone either for the first time or coming back home, there are a few necessary mods that balance things like how spongey enemies, inventory and carry weight fixes/balances, optimizations&FPS boosts, input smoothing removal, etc. etc. All available already over on Nexus already, and all you do is create a mod folder in the games directory and drop a few .pak files only a few kb's and fix A LOT of QOL and general gameplay things. thats actually valid that vodka reduces radiation poisoning because on a gauge that i work with it says due to radiation when damaged drink alcohol when damaged in the warning because the gas it releases is radio active and i guess that alcohol works as a aerosol for your lungs thats the only way i can make sense of it tbh

you dont need to go to the quest marker when the emission comes through, it will mark the closest building you can use as shelter from the emission, however, you can use any building that is fully inclosed or has a fully enclosed room (a room with bored up windows or the ones that are think and cant be seen through, etc.) I used a big mental pipe inside a building that was NOT inclosed but the large pipe was protecting me (I believe the main thing is, if you cant see the eye of the storm you will be safe)

Yeah this game will be amazing, it already is just a few things like the spawn rates need to be adjusted, doesn't have that life like element in the environment compared to the others. But fortunately that'll be something they fix soon.
Bro i had a loot area I was checking, it was FILLED with rats, so obviously I fragged them, left and had to go back in cause I forgot to loot the cache, the rats had immediately respawned 💀, np just fragged them again
Fun fact: alcohol DOES help with radiation IRL too. Actually, the Liquidators (civilian people who worked on repairs of the Chornobyl reactor) were highly encouraged and sometimes REQUIRED to drink vodka while on-site.
I just want to say that if you play more, throughout the stalker series it’s mostly a item management game, try to use the zone to your advantage instead of relying entirely on guns, especially with mutants. Learn how you can use anomalies against enemies and even try bringing mutants to enemy humans, climb things to avoid melee enemies. Get creative in how you play, and always try going for artifacts as they can help you a lot. I also like saving grenades for mutants like the bloodsucker
I find the fact that artifacts don't appear until you get really close a little annoying, but I guess it makes upgrading detectors more important. In 1 you could see them from a mile away
Artifact hunting is supposed to be very dangerous, you still need to get close to have the artifact spawn regardless of your scanner, but you will at least have better/clearer information with higher grade scanners.
@shadixyt That's what I mean, it usually wasn't that dangerous in 1 since you could see the artifacts from outside the field and then plan your route. Some of them were more dangerous however like the one by the transformers in the abandoned train yard.
Yes and no. Clear Sky and Call of Pripyat are stand alone expansions to Shadow Chernobyl. Stalker was originally supposed to A LOT bigger than what we ended up with but due to budget and time constraints, GSC Gameworld essentially had to split the game into 3 parts. The “Call of Chernobyl” mod more or less fuses all three games into one which was the original intent.

game is really great with the atmosphere and sound design, gunplay feels good. this games got a solid foundation but it definitely needs to cook more. i know this isnt gamma but i feel like ive just been running to waypoints, killing, looting, repeat. the loot is just food, meds, ammo and broken guns. thats the whole game so far.
I always had a feeling that modded Stalker would skewer the hell out of a vanilla Stalker 2 release for people getting into it. I’m loving the game so far, issues and all.

my biggest gripe with this game is the lack of sound when traversing bushes/tall grass, there's literally 0 sound, i asked in discord and ppl said "modders will fix it" and that' fking sucks.
before the dudes with "uhh ackshually they're in czechia" arrive - big amount of devs are still in Ukraine, some are even fighting in the war, some have died, most have their parents left in Ukraine, which is also a huge stress

The title pretty much sums up the game it's amazing but it has its problems, I've been enjoying the exploring, doing missions and managing my equipment, they just need to improve the AI and fix the performance but it's great to hear it has been well received and people are enjoying it.

As someone who has not really been enjoying games as much as I can over the last year. This game was an amazing experience, playing it in Ukrainian language, the gameplay is great, little slower than what I’m used to but I got the hang of it, the tactical gameplay is really fun, facing humans so far is fun, my only issues with the game is the lack of a definitive way to kill poltergeists besides just wasting your entire bag, and the quality option at least on XSX is a little slideshow esque in the town at least I’ve had no bugs or problems that others are experiencing, only thing of note is when changing graphic modes you can see everything disappear and reappear in front of you, game has ran perfectly, no crashes, no bugs, only annoying poltergeists
The part at the end when Charlie ran into that invisible thing on the road, when I was on that same road I got ambushed by 4 of them, I was just running for my life shooting out of defensive fear, I barely survived

And the recent Warhammer space marine game was also developed by Russians. I'd say the Russian side of game development is far more tougher due to sanctions and with most players being wary of buying Russian products. I'm not even pro-russian, I just don't buy janky ass games. I'd imagine this one will get a no man's sky turnabout eventually but if the devs had a hard time producing this game because of the war, just delay it? Starfield would probably be treated like a cult classic if Todd Howard was Ukrainian.

The story is great, the action is heart pumping at times, and game mechanics like clearing gun malfunctions during combat, add realism to the game that make it feel like you’re not some god of the wasteland. In conclusion, it’s my personal GOTY 👍🏼

I've heard so many good things about this game so the fact that we have developers who make trash year after year without having to worry about a war on their own doorstep is unacceptable.
I'll wait to buy it until the game fixes the AI issues, enemy respawns, etc. I won't be disappointed even if they raise the price of the game then. I can sympathize with the situation, but a broken game is a broken game.
After playing for a few hours, the game IS NOT BAD but has problems that I think ruin curtain parts of the game for me. The worst offender is the AI; they do not miss, see you at all times, mainly through walls and bushes, and from so far away, I don't even think their models have fully loaded in yet. In front of you sometimes I kill a small camp of enemies then they respawn less than a minute later. One time I literally turned around and they all respawned. The game gives the players restrictions like bleed and weapon jams, which are cool. Weapon jamming is a cool mechanic... unless only your gun jams and enemies with weapons on the brink of breaking into a million pieces fire perfectly fine with pin point accuracy through cover, and I don't even know if enemies can bleed or take radiation damage. Mutant AI seems fine, though the simple ones like dogs, pigs, and boars feel Jacky, while the more advanced mutans are actually just fine and work. I'm complaining most about the human AI because, up to my time, 90% of what I've encountered are humans. Also, I don't know if all bandits are on the same side, like Fallout. I assumed that bandits kept only to their own group, but I've had 2-3 different groups of bandit spawn, and they seem to be best friends. one more side note, I've had guys offer me rewards if i chose them over someone else for a mission so i would pick the one i wanted, then kill the other to take the reward anyways but they have some bread and maybe 4 bullets.
ive not played any other stalker game but people say A-life is what makes them so good and from what other people are saying stalker 2 has very little to no evidence so far that they are using A-life or at least are using a dumbed downed version
Dude, the AI is why I'm loving this game so much I hate braindead AI that just stands there shooting at you and failing 50% of the time, and when getting closer to them, they just keep standing still, or blind AI that cannot see 20m in front of them. The fact they're aggressive and miss almost never makes the engagements fun because you actually have to find cover and flanks actively (also they do the same, when you get closer, they back down, if you stay in the same place, they push with nades or flank)

@@cosmicdude8282 them being strong is fine if they weren't it would just be fallout, but in combination with the other things i listed mainly spawning randomly and on top of you it makes a lot of fights unavoidable due to them spawning in and seeing you instantly and in a game where enemies almost never miss and a single shot can force you to use heal having enemies spawn next to you in the woods with no cover, dying is better then using like 3 med kits and 5 bandages. the worst case is when the AI have simply no way of knowing where you are and still see you usually behind walls or through bushes. if I'm being honest 80% of all enemies in shooter games push up and move from cover and up to my point i haven't seen any enemies back down but usually i just shot them in the face tho i do like how they call out for their friends that they are going to throw a grenade its like in ghost of Tsushima when the archers call for their guys to back off so they can fire and some of them duck i just got back on the game and 2 groups of enemies spawned Infront of me and killed me straight out of the loading screen in the middle of the woods
Games on steam these days get downvoted for the simplest things like having a psn requirment, or an anti cheat people dont like. This game literally releases un-optimized as hell, stuttering on even the best of pc's, bugs everywhere, and "alife 2.0" is literally a shallow joke compared to what was advertised and yet it its still getting positivley reviewed.... Just shows that steam reveiws are about as credible as rotten tomatos and people will rate up any indie slop as long as its made by devs they like.

Wow you do you. Man, the game is a retrospect of the good things in old stalker games. The rest is a buggy janky no a-life, kinda charming but empty if compared to Anomaly. And yes, they could've worked of Anomaly as a primary focus. Political bullshit and stupid americans hyping stuff because they feel righteous and a part of a clan. Its all good, hope they fix the problems and install real a-life, the rest can be ironed out but for now, the game bombs greatly.
A shotgun is best to deal with mutants would take 4 buckshot shots or about 2-3 slugs if it’s head shots probably 2 and it’s helps since it’s a close quarters weapon
Very fun game so far, love it. Found myself out at Rookie Village in the Cordon yesterday and seeing Sido in his bunker jamming to that classic tune was great. I even bought a VSS Vintorez from him, just gotta find ammo for it now lmao
It’s crazy that despite how messy and jank the game is, so many people agree that even despite the jank the game is great/amazing. Imagine if they didn’t have so many things happen during development and lose so much data? They would’ve dropped a masterpiece right out the gate.

Brother, it's a stalker game, I'd almost be disappointed if it weren't messy and janky. From the second this was announced, I knew I would be in for some good ol' slavic eurojank.
Honestly, it doesn’t even seem all that janky to me so far. I’m not super far into it, but the bugs I’ve come across have been very minor. My understanding is that a lot of the bugs that the reviewers saw had been fixed before the game even released. I do have some slight stuttering issues in NPC heavy areas though. A little annoying, but not game breaking. Currently on a 5700X and 7800 XT. Waiting on a better motherboard to arrive from eBay so I can throw in a 5700X3D.
Now before you read on, this isn’t about Charlie. People are genuinely complaining about a game that people begged to come out, and one of the lead devs died in a war. And they were dealing with hacks. If any game deserves to be unfinished, it’s this one, and we don’t get the right to complain because we are the people who BEGGED for release. The fact that this game even came out is incredible, and we should be thankful it exists. Let it cook. It WILL cook.
It was not just one, but multiple, and they had to leave Ukraine in order to have a chance to finish the game. I am suprised that they could even finish it, if anything.
This happens every time new players enter a new community, not gatekeeping, it's just to be expected since they don't know what the precedent is in the series. Any stalker fan from back in the day knew that this game wouldn't be perfect, even the og trilogy is a jankness galore, but we still loved it. Still props to the devs, a month after release and a lot of updates dropped, version 1.1 was huge.

Never thought I’d see the day that something as niche as STALKER would become mainstream. Better yet, it’s everything us stalker fans have been hoping for in a sequel and then some.
My biggest fear is that it would be causilized for the mainstream audience and I’m glad that ISN’T the case. It’s literally a modern STALKER game.
I’m just happy this game released at all, bugs or not. Multiple head developers dying during release and having to relocate an entire game studio out of an active war zone but still pushing forward and not canceling the game is a feat to behold

The game is fantastic I think so far, 6 hours in on Xbox so far and im enjoying it. I’ve not ran into any bugs apart from major stick drift on the right analog stick but not an issue, just had to mess around with aiming options for a bit. It’s a challenging game where running away is sometimes the best option
Yeah I'm on Xbox as well and I'm 13 hours in. No bugs other than a single crash like 9 hours in. It's always the PC versions that have the bugs
Sometimes? Shooting mutants at all is a total waste of ammo because they don't drop any. In the ideal run for this game you'd never fight a mutant. It feels a lot more survival-esque in that regard.
Stick drift is a hardware issue
Technical issues are real, I'm playing on an i9-13900k with a 4090. Traversal stutter is noticeable, have to use DLSS for high/epic settings to have a smooth framerate. Having said that, it's very fun to play and those issues haven't significantly diminished my fun, the game world is just so engrossing. Only non-technical glitch i had was with a flesh. Shot it point blank with a shotgun as it was charging me. It's body ragdolled like 30' up into the air. Quite the anomaly

Ive been having so much fun with this game, I dont know much abt the series at all, I played one of if not the og game when this one was announced, I love the mechanics of the game they were so inventive at the time and this game holds onto those mechanics and lowk wipes any modern singleplayer shooter especially this open world type, It really reminds me a lot of tarkov but minus the online players and adding the zone, so its still a good challenge like takov, my only real critique is the “yellow paint” which seems to exist nowadays in games like farcry is present here, and i feel like that takes away the fun of finding loot and figuring out where to go, also its kinda like damn you think I’m so dumb that you need to outline important things with bright yellow road paint, but thats such a small gripe, overall this is my favorite new game since forza motorsport (2023) an overall terribly recieved game, me giving forza a 6 i give stalker 2 anywhere from 8 to 9 maybe in the future the new shiny toy effect will wear off but for now im grinding ts. This a lil extra for anyone who actually read all this bs, what do you guys think about Avowed based off what is known, who else is exited for it??

Headsup Charlie and everyone else entering the zone either for the first time or coming back home, there are a few necessary mods that balance things like how spongey enemies, inventory and carry weight fixes/balances, optimizations&FPS boosts, input smoothing removal, etc. etc. All available already over on Nexus already, and all you do is create a mod folder in the games directory and drop a few .pak files only a few kb's and fix A LOT of QOL and general gameplay things.

you dont need to go to the quest marker when the emission comes through, it will mark the closest building you can use as shelter from the emission, however, you can use any building that is fully inclosed or has a fully enclosed room (a room with bored up windows or the ones that are think and cant be seen through, etc.) I used a big mental pipe inside a building that was NOT inclosed but the large pipe was protecting me (I believe the main thing is, if you cant see the eye of the storm you will be safe)

I just want to say that if you play more, throughout the stalker series it’s mostly a item management game, try to use the zone to your advantage instead of relying entirely on guns, especially with mutants. Learn how you can use anomalies against enemies and even try bringing mutants to enemy humans, climb things to avoid melee enemies. Get creative in how you play, and always try going for artifacts as they can help you a lot. I also like saving grenades for mutants like the bloodsucker
I find the fact that artifacts don't appear until you get really close a little annoying, but I guess it makes upgrading detectors more important. In 1 you could see them from a mile away
Artifact hunting is supposed to be very dangerous, you still need to get close to have the artifact spawn regardless of your scanner, but you will at least have better/clearer information with higher grade scanners.
@shadixyt That's what I mean, it usually wasn't that dangerous in 1 since you could see the artifacts from outside the field and then plan your route. Some of them were more dangerous however like the one by the transformers in the abandoned train yard.

Yes and no. Clear Sky and Call of Pripyat are stand alone expansions to Shadow Chernobyl. Stalker was originally supposed to A LOT bigger than what we ended up with but due to budget and time constraints, GSC Gameworld essentially had to split the game into 3 parts.
The “Call of Chernobyl” mod more or less fuses all three games into one which was the original intent.

game is really great with the atmosphere and sound design, gunplay feels good. this games got a solid foundation but it definitely needs to cook more. i know this isnt gamma but i feel like ive just been running to waypoints, killing, looting, repeat. the loot is just food, meds, ammo and broken guns. thats the whole game so far.

As someone who has not really been enjoying games as much as I can over the last year. This game was an amazing experience, playing it in Ukrainian language, the gameplay is great, little slower than what I’m used to but I got the hang of it, the tactical gameplay is really fun, facing humans so far is fun, my only issues with the game is the lack of a definitive way to kill poltergeists besides just wasting your entire bag, and the quality option at least on XSX is a little slideshow esque in the town at least
I’ve had no bugs or problems that others are experiencing, only thing of note is when changing graphic modes you can see everything disappear and reappear in front of you, game has ran perfectly, no crashes, no bugs, only annoying poltergeists

I'm not even pro-russian, I just don't buy janky ass games. I'd imagine this one will get a no man's sky turnabout eventually but if the devs had a hard time producing this game because of the war, just delay it? The story is great, the action is heart pumping at times, and game mechanics like clearing gun malfunctions during combat, add realism to the game that make it feel like you’re not some god of the wasteland. Seeing Charlie playing S.T.A.L.K.E.R is something I never expected
I've heard so many good things about this game so the fact that we have developers who make trash year after year without having to worry about a war on their own doorstep is unacceptable.
I'll wait to buy it until the game fixes the AI issues, enemy respawns, etc. I won't be disappointed even if they raise the price of the game then. I can sympathize with the situation, but a broken game is a broken game.
After playing for a few hours, the game IS NOT BAD but has problems that I think ruin curtain parts of the game for me. The worst offender is the AI; they do not miss, see you at all times, mainly through walls and bushes, and from so far away, I don't even think their models have fully loaded in yet. In front of you sometimes I kill a small camp of enemies then they respawn less than a minute later. One time I literally turned around and they all respawned. The game gives the players restrictions like bleed and weapon jams, which are cool. Weapon jamming is a cool mechanic... unless only your gun jams and enemies with weapons on the brink of breaking into a million pieces fire perfectly fine with pin point accuracy through cover, and I don't even know if enemies can bleed or take radiation damage. Mutant AI seems fine, though the simple ones like dogs, pigs, and boars feel Jacky, while the more advanced mutans are actually just fine and work. I'm complaining most about the human AI because, up to my time, 90% of what I've encountered are humans. Also, I don't know if all bandits are on the same side, like Fallout. I assumed that bandits kept only to their own group, but I've had 2-3 different groups of bandit spawn, and they seem to be best friends. one more side note, I've had guys offer me rewards if i chose them over someone else for a mission so i would pick the one i wanted, then kill the other to take the reward anyways but they have some bread and maybe 4 bullets.
ive not played any other stalker game but people say A-life is what makes them so good and from what other people are saying stalker 2 has very little to no evidence so far that they are using A-life or at least are using a dumbed downed version

I hate braindead AI that just stands there shooting at you and failing 50% of the time, and when getting closer to them, they just keep standing still, or blind AI that cannot see 20m in front of them. The fact they're aggressive and miss almost never makes the engagements fun because you actually have to find cover and flanks actively (also they do the same, when you get closer, they back down, if you stay in the same place, they push with nades or flank)

@@cosmicdude8282 them being strong is fine if they weren't it would just be fallout, but in combination with the other things i listed mainly spawning randomly and on top of you it makes a lot of fights unavoidable due to them spawning in and seeing you instantly and in a game where enemies almost never miss and a single shot can force you to use heal having enemies spawn next to you in the woods with no cover, dying is better then using like 3 med kits and 5 bandages. the worst case is when the AI have simply no way of knowing where you are and still see you usually behind walls or through bushes. if I'm being honest 80% of all enemies in shooter games push up and move from cover and up to my point i haven't seen any enemies back down but usually i just shot them in the face tho i do like how they call out for their friends that they are going to throw a grenade its like in ghost of Tsushima when the archers call for their guys to back off so they can fire and some of them duck
i just got back on the game and 2 groups of enemies spawned Infront of me and killed me straight out of the loading screen in the middle of the woods
I'll be honest, it bored me to death 70% of the time, frustrating 20% of the time. 10% of the time I loved it.

Games on steam these days get downvoted for the simplest things like having a psn requirment, or an anti cheat people dont like.
This game literally releases un-optimized as hell, stuttering on even the best of pc's, bugs everywhere, and "alife 2.0" is literally a shallow joke compared to what was advertised and yet it its still getting positivley reviewed....
Just shows that steam reveiws are about as credible as rotten tomatos and people will rate up any indie slop as long as its made by devs they like.
I like the game but yeah, shill brigade is out in full force. When people don't like a game they talk about why, even if it's for a stupid reason why. When people like something they get absolutely positively militant for it and in my opinion it's very disturbing. Especially when you know damn well they don't get militant about nothing else, least of all anything important.
I'm just sad that this is gonna be another case of "modders will fix it". Same with the OG games that released over 15 years ago, you'd think shit would change.

Wow you do you. Man, the game is a retrospect of the good things in old stalker games. The rest is a buggy janky no a-life, kinda charming but empty if compared to Anomaly. And yes, they could've worked of Anomaly as a primary focus. Political bullshit and stupid americans hyping stuff because they feel righteous and a part of a clan. Its all good, hope they fix the problems and install real a-life, the rest can be ironed out but for now, the game bombs greatly.

A shotgun is best to deal with mutants would take 4 buckshot shots or about 2-3 slugs if it’s head shots probably 2 and it’s helps since it’s a close quarters weapon
Very fun game so far, love it. Found myself out at Rookie Village in the Cordon yesterday and seeing Sido in his bunker jamming to that classic tune was great. I even bought a VSS Vintorez from him, just gotta find ammo for it now lmao
It’s crazy that despite how messy and jank the game is, so many people agree that even despite the jank the game is great/amazing. Imagine if they didn’t have so many things happen during development and lose so much data? They would’ve dropped a masterpiece right out the gate.

Brother, it's a stalker game, I'd almost be disappointed if it weren't messy and janky. From the second this was announced, I knew I would be in for some good ol' slavic eurojank.

Honestly, it doesn’t even seem all that janky to me so far. I’m not super far into it, but the bugs I’ve come across have been very minor. My understanding is that a lot of the bugs that the reviewers saw had been fixed before the game even released.
I do have some slight stuttering issues in NPC heavy areas though. A little annoying, but not game breaking.
Currently on a 5700X and 7800 XT. Waiting on a better motherboard to arrive from eBay so I can throw in a 5700X3D.

People are genuinely complaining about a game that people begged to come out, and one of the lead devs died in a war. And they were dealing with hacks. If any game deserves to be unfinished, it’s this one, and we don’t get the right to complain because we are the people who BEGGED for release. The fact that this game even came out is incredible, and we should be thankful it exists. Let it cook. It WILL cook.
It was not just one, but multiple, and they had to leave Ukraine in order to have a chance to finish the game. I am suprised that they could even finish it, if anything.
This happens every time new players enter a new community, not gatekeeping, it's just to be expected since they don't know what the precedent is in the series. Any stalker fan from back in the day knew that this game wouldn't be perfect, even the og trilogy is a jankness galore, but we still loved it.
Still props to the devs, a month after release and a lot of updates dropped, version 1.1 was huge.
