And that's how thoughts change over time I suppose. It's not bad conceptually and tbh it shouldn't be overly impactful all things considered. If you're using important cc on a Mel with w up it's not really her fault. It apparently has a 30s cd at rank 1 so it's gonna be used very little in lane and probably maxed last too.
To be fair it is the new mechanic it's just like any spell shield to counter bait it out with something or dodge the reflect with flash or just dodging. It'll fire in whatever direction it needs to hit so it'll be pretty easy to dodge I imagine just change direction or S. We needed an anti dive mage for midlan don't have many of those so she slots nicely into that role. She still a 0 mobility mage so usual counters will still apply and she only got the 1 root that needs to hit the center to root on a slow moving ability. Plus her ult requires previous hits so champ needs setup there. Champ doesn't seem busted to me Def a punishing new mechanic but nothing that screams 200 years to me.
or the fact that champs can be designed where the ultimate is not the star of the show. Kog'maw for example. the champ revolves around its w. Fiora her passive.

Despite what some might say about her, I love her unique kit and fits her perfectly 🎉 (It's also roughly showcasing, what we'll see her do in future Arcane seasons. Although, I'm sure they'll make some changes).
@lepouletdemacron7493 No. It only took them a long time for season 1 because they were still figuring out how, what, where, all the logistics, world building, animation time, voice acting, etc. Season 1 came out in 2021 and we got season 2 in 2024 and that was also during Covid-19 years, so I wouldn't be surprised if they drop the new show by the end of next year (2026).

I’m more interested in if she can reflect the chain like how Braum can block them but he gets snatched up instead of the intended target. Reflecting the rocket means nothing if the urgot isn’t already low but reflecting the chain possibly means a kill on a full HP urgot.

@@KlaSiKo4 It looks like it can block multiple skillshots. A good Mel can time it well and stay alive and extend a teamfight. I may be biased cause I play veigar a lot and I do not think I'll enjoy having my ult be blocked in lane or sides everytime.

If it becomes too broken i think they will change it to something like either one reflection or excluding certain abilities or just make the cooldown longer or just switch it with ult. make ult the reflection and the ult a normal ability with damage scaled
Yep, it absolutely seems like super cool ability, just the way it probably works right now is ridiculously and stupidly broken. That thing needs to run out after blocking a spell just like any normal spell shield in the game, Nocturne's and Sivir's spell shields for example, especially considering that this doesn't only delete the spell but throws it back at the enemy. It probably also needs to last shorter, like 0.5 seconds. It should be an ability that rewards quick reflex reaction time, kind of like a dodge roll in souls like games, time it right and get rewarded.

@@KlaSiKo4 It looks like it can block multiple skillshots. A good Mel can time it well and stay alive and extend a teamfight. I may be biased cause I play veigar a lot and I do not think I'll enjoy having my ult be blocked in lane or sides everytime.
@@KlaSiKo4One second of reflecting spells in the direction of the caster, with good aimbot it seems. Either they burn flash or they're done. At least it doesnt work against melee.

If it becomes too broken i think they will change it to something like either one reflection or excluding certain abilities or just make the cooldown longer or just switch it with ult. make ult the reflection and the ult a normal ability with damage scaled
@kivori3438 the latter makes the most sense, because if we factor in CDR the reflection can be used way too many times.
Yep, it absolutely seems like super cool ability, just the way it probably works right now is ridiculously and stupidly broken.
That thing needs to run out after blocking a spell just like any normal spell shield in the game, Nocturne's and Sivir's spell shields for example, especially considering that this doesn't only delete the spell but throws it back at the enemy.
It probably also needs to last shorter, like 0.5 seconds. It should be an ability that rewards quick reflex reaction time, kind of like a dodge roll in souls like games, time it right and get rewarded.

@kivori3438 They could make it work in a smaller timed window with e.g. a damage penalty on fail. Like...incoming dmg increased when failing

I know it might just be me but Riot finally listened to the community, more lore-focused events just like the Bilgewater event years ago where Gangplank was "killed" (disabled) and then reworked. Twas' a pretty cool event. This feels like it.

Maybe there should be a new game mode for each season where you can only play champs from that region. Newer players are probably unable to know all the kits so it would be nice for them and there could be a cool lore event attached.
