- In this video edited by my dad. He and I go back to the White Freightliner one last time to see if we could get it to run and move it . this was the most mechanical work we have put in a video. Was it worth the effort?
Thanks for Watching and Remember

You, never start a long-dormant Detroit, until you check for stuck injectors!
Wiley you are the real deal. You do not edit the learning curve. Honest hard working people will save America. Your wonderful kids are a chip off the old block.❤.
Awesome guys
Thank you and thanks for watching
@@DontbeWilyKwik engine starting slow down
That ol truck needs to be brought back, thank y'all, be safe and God Bless y'all!!
Thanks for watching
Wiley! That was awesome! To see that old girl drive out of there with you at the wheel still hauling its trailer and get back to what it’s made to do, that was something special, thank you
Thank you and thanks for watching
Yea i doubt its going to go do what its made to do 🤣
And it reminded us of why old Whites were called Freight Shakers.
"Dont wanna get to lazy"
Words of wisdom that some of the newer generation needs to hear.
Thanks Wily. Loved it. Used to drive those old trucks.
Wiley, I was really impressed while watching you. No matter what age you are, your heart has never grown old. I sincerely congratulate you for preserving your memories without forgetting your past while living your life without breaking away from the values that connect people to life. Bravo to you, no matter what country they are in, people who think and live like you will have a say in the future of the world. Greetings from Turkey.
Wow, thank you! And thanks for watching
Great work !! Love seeing old trucks move again!
Makes me think of my Dad. He drove White FreightLiner for Chemical Leman tank lines. Glad you got the old girlmoving again.

Good job, Wiley. You got it running and moving. I appreciate you, buddy 👍
Thanks 👍
For some reason, Wiley, you bring my spirits WAY up, every time. Guess i just love hanging out with you, a great friend! Thanks again!
Thank you for that.
Thanks for another great video Wiley and Jacob.
It was interesting and enjoyable.
Wow. You got it running. Good thing to remember to check the racks so the engine will not run away. Also good thing to remember you have what you need to shut the engine off if need be. Just need a few more items at you hand in case you need it.
The old truck runs good. With some TLC it can be fixed up to work again.
Sounds like the owner has it sold which is good. You got it to the point where it can be loaded and hauled away.
Nice job Wiley and Jacob. You got it running and moving. Yeah!!!!!!!!
Nice work.
Thanks for sharing with us.
The Iowa farm boy. Steve.
Steve , this was about as much work i have ever put into getting one started
Well as of the time I posted the video anyway
As always, thank you for the comments and thanks for watching
When the trailer decking broke and Jacob fell through he did it gracefully! Glad he wasn’t hurt.
Thanks for watching
I learn a lot watching you work!!!!!!!!! Very good work getting that White running again.

jacob. wiley is a quiet expert. he learned by experience. unlike many on this medium, he really knows. he has chosen you to accept the baton he is passing. congratulations and best wishes.
I can tell she(the truck)so happy back alive and driveable again.❤

Cool video. Nice to see old v8 jimmy come to life
I used to drive an old freightliner like that! Was a nice truck❤
Miss those days! Life was better!!
Thanks for sharing
I've not driven big rigs but I've got a soft spot in my heart for Detroit Diesels. When I was a young infantryman, I drove an M113A3 that was powered by a 6V53T Detroit and it got that 18 ton beer can moving down the trail faster than I wanted! Love the channel, Wiley - keep it up!
Thank you for your service and watching
Usually a stuck rack on the ole Detroits after sitting for that long lol. Crack them covers open and always check to make sure the injectors are freed up! Thanks for sharing man!

Goode job guys, thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching
A good old truck
Last time I tilted an old Freightline the Clutch pedal linkage snapped. love those old Freightliners.
Some people give me a little flack about not using WD 40 and using the hammers. What they don’t realize is i used PB blaster several times and hood latches were still stuck. I did mess up by bringing over to far and not setting it back down. I said all that i guess to say this. If you ever have worked on anything much at all it doesn’t go as perfect as you hope it would. Clutch mechanism for you.
Thanks for sharing and watching
The diesel whisperer strikes again that v8 sounds beautiful and it drives sorted 👍
Thank you

Can’t wait every week for your videos, great job
Thanks
Screaming Detroit rides again, great job Wiley!
Super Wiley sehr gut gemacht
Props to him for admitting his error, I think he got too excited, wanting to get it to run and overlooked the safety side of things a little. You could see he realized his error, as his panic begin to grow, though it was not a complete run away, you could tell that the engine was going to go for it, very lucky. But props for owning up to the error.
Thanks for watching
Thanks for the videos I really enjoy them

I like the vice attached to the receiver hitch.
That was a good idea whoever thought of that
Anybody says they never had something go wrong at all just never did much for fun. Good video!
Thank you.
👌 Super, Du machst es sehr richtig ich bewundere Dich. Du bist einer von der Alten Schule.
Спасибо! Получил удовольствие от оживления этого старичка.
Awesome save Wiley on it running away there's several different things to do to shut it down when it does that taking a board or a big rag and blocking off the air intake or take the fuel filter lose
Don't those Injectors require to be set with a stroke gage I was in the military and every 53 and 71 series required to de set with a stroke / timing tool
I am not sure
I did not do a very good job of showing the air collapsing when Jacob held the box over the intake.
I could not get the Emergency stop unstuck.
Отличный трак! Классное видео! Отец крутой мужик!
Reminds me of the Freightliner I drove back in “73” it had 318 Detroit with an air 4x4 transmission.
Thanks for sharing
Great job Wiley!
Thank you
I drove an international cab over for a few years, delivering auto parts, Toyota, Nissan, Honda dealerships, it was great for getting in tight loading docks quickly, or just tail delivery, it was a sleeper but I stayed in hotels, APA based in North Bergen, NJ, think they went out of business.
Thanks for sharing
Running that off-road diesel.😂🤣
He does a good job ny himself yes and gets thing done quickly to could see that strap pulling the pillows in and popping that glass your so lucky nothing got damaged or you would be owner of that truck
God Bless Freightliner

Good Afternoon Sir , I hope you are doing well and having a fantastic day today Sir ! 😊
Thank you
You ain't going to hurt that old Detroit
I still got universal Warble sockets with the plastic stuck in em I threw across the garage kickin around
Lol 😂.
sometimes you could heat it up in a saucepan with oil the heat will make the gunk soften up and hopefully it dont have any rubber selas i cant think if they do in the einjector and it should free up as the gunk will soften.
