Mine has a small blinking triangle but doesn't ever report a temperature. I'll leave it in until it eventually just turns off. What does that mean? Defective? Low batteries?
Thank you for your inquiry. When the upside-down triangle appears and flashes at the display's center top, the battery is exhausted and needs replacing. If you have further questions or require additional assistance, please reach out to us at SocialSupport@helenoftroy.com.
I keep getting two very different Temps. 5mo baby, rectally. If I turn it on before I insert it is reading 100.5. If I turn it on after I insert it reads 99.8. I've tried a couple different times and it remains the same. What's the right way?
We will be happy to provide that information. Please turn the thermometer on when it is in the air, wait until the screen says "LO", then place it to take a temperature. If you place it before it has turned on and calibrated, then it will provide a false reading. Please remember that temperatures taken rectally are 1 degree higher than those taken orally or in the ear. If you have any other questions, please email our support team at SocialSupport@helenoftroy.com.
Hey Gilberto. This doesn't sound right. We'd like to look further into this. Please reach out to us by emailing SocialSupport@helenoftroy.com, so we can help.
We will be happy to provide that information Ren. When the thermometer is showing "Lo" that means the current temperature it is reading is below the normal range it is meant to read. After the thermometer is turned on and goes through the start up sequence. it is automatically reading the temperature around the sensor. This lets you know that the thermometer is ready to be placed and read a temperature. If you have any other questions, please email our support team at SocialSupport@helenoftroy.com.
That is a good question Camilla. No, you do not need to use the plastic covers for the thermometer while using. If you have any other questions, please feel free to email our support team at SocialSupport@helenoftroy.com and we will be happy to assist you.
So apparently you don’t have to turn this thing on? It has a switch, but nothing is mentioned in the video of hitting the switch. Apparently you just unpackaged is sticking in your mouth and it tells you the temperature. What a piece of shit product.
We apologize for any confusion this has caused. It’s incredible that this company cannot make a simple video to show how to use this POS. Mind boggling.
