I just saw them play post dusty. Im only 23. Grew up in the wrong time. This performance is absolutely phenomenal. These guitar solos are so sweet they bring tears to my eyes
Today is one of the saddest days in rock and beyond. We lost a musician, a singer, one tough hombre, a legend and a hero. Thank you for all that you have given us all these decades. RIP Dusty Hill May 19, 1949 - Jul 28, 2021 We love you and you will be sorely missed.
Kinda sad how fast life can go really cause I remember back I. The days of 1978 gardens maple leaf first time I saw bad willie perform Lagrange wow was blown away totally!! Fandango concert never forget , dusty love ya brother n thank you for the precious memories , you were the finest bass guitar man around . Rip dusty love you guys always the very best in boogie woogie baby
ZZ Top is unfortunately another one of those bands that have very limited video of their classic 70s era. '71 through 78'......it's got to be out there somewhere.
I saw ZZ Top 7/12/1974 in Asbury Park NJ. We were right up front with our elbows on the stage, Dusty was less then 10 feet away , great show totally boogie woogie , blues, rock they never stoped, one of the best shows I ever saw.
I Got to See Them on this Tour "Up-Close and Personal" Sitting in 2nd Row @ "MSG", NYC on 5/13/74 as the Opening Band for the GREAT "TEN YEARS AFTER". It was a FANTASTIC Show!!
The saddest crime is this setlist was likely the same as what they RECORDED in New Orleans for half of Fandango. We could have this setlist on an official live album. Why haven’t they released it yet? 50th Anniversary is coming up so maybe… maybe we’ll get lucky.
Hmm... Strange, l woke up with the LIVE Thunderbird...Howling Marshall in my head...So I go to the living room ( ( where I have a 50 w, Big box Howler. ) But its 11:45 ! & I look @ my phone, To find this Jem ! Thank you !!
Too bad the segment with LaGrange got chewed up!! Kinda ruins this recording. I hope someone compiles a live bootleg of the best of their old concerts. It would be a treasure to veteran ZZ Top fans
That place was on S.Shepperd on the left. The photo of the food was shot there also for Tres Hombres. They had ZZTOP Memorabilia on the walls and thanked the band for the free advertising.

Like eric clapton! i cant understand why the shows of so talented and popular musicians have not been archived during 1974-1978!!!
Does anyone know if there is a live version of Master of Sparks. I cannot find it.
@@scottcote6024 I think that's more of a studio track.

A little too fast. But it’s a ‘70s concert. Let go and let fly.
A little too fast
The Leo’s sign was in Houston.

The sound is a little low but it may be the tablet I'm listening to the video on.
Beer Drinkers is insane fast on this ! Even faster than most of their 70's lives. Crazy
Just Got Paid was a little fast too
