      You can feel the notes. When he sings in this one it touches your soul like a cry out from being so hurt. Then the music brings that side of emotion that is hate/anger to just bring it alive

    that part before the chorus where the camera goes with the picking hand of the bass was so dope, holy shit praise who ever came up with strapping the camera to that hand

      It's just an editing trick. Camera is not strapped to anything. The focal point is just fixed on one spot and then moved to keep it center.

    To me it seems when a band loses a member for any reason it changes the feel, often for the worse. As much as I miss Kyle and he will be missed. WCAR are certainly doing this album for him and the emotion is at 110%

    I loved your reaction to this. You can hear every single note is filled emotion, just fueled and driven guitar and vocal work. Upsetting they had to experience a loss but it brought about this music.

    I saw their first ever show after Kyle passed away. Dave definitely hit the high notes and I did not expect him to. He can perform a fantastic live show.
    Now this song caught me off guard. It hits heavy emotionally and musically. It's just a solid track and Dave surprises me once again a year later with his vocals. Kyle would be proud of them.

    I've been working on a guitar cover for the second single (as my current setup can't handle that tuning) and I feel a bit like you ahah! I just need to figure out the Breakdown part to complete it!
    I love the two songs they are so different and both beautiful in their own styles and meanings! I'm so proud of them, and I loved that reaction!

    When I listened to *From the First Note* I broke down sobbing the second I heard them layer Kyle's vocal from *To Plant A Seed* towards the end. I knew it was coming too because, come on, they're not gonna name a song that, and *not* have a callback to that line. It just broke me when it happened. Kyle was such a wonderful person, and I'm so sad he's gone. At the same time though, I'm so glad WCAR is back and straight fucking shit up.

      They took a sample of when Kyle sang "The first note that was ever sang" in To Plant a Seed, pretty sure the song title is a reference to that as well. Really punched me in the gut

    It's crazy to see all those comments like "it reminds me of old northlane" , "feeling some architects vibes" , "I can hear some sempiternel sound in this...." it's totally true but in a good way. I mean it feels like a mash-up of every metalcore bands we love but at the mean time it's we came as romans and they kick ass. Love this new song.

    Really solid work. Only thing I didn’t like was that the first bridge is identical to the bridge from Cold alike War. It’s the same rhythm and his vocals are almost identical. Seriously - go give it a listen.

    I do totally agree that I wished that they doubled the chorus at the end. But man. I was like tearing up cause I was waiting for a unique voice that we won’t hear again :/. But ultimately they did such an amazing job. Such a good tribute to Kyle

    You should take a look at Delain's new track called Burning Bridges. The vocals of Charlotte Wessels are on point, beautiful yet powerful. It got heavy riffs and the track is overall, I believe, one of their most heavy tracks they made. A masterpiece if I have to call it myself.
