Just before Covid-19 struck, my family and I cam to Sami, Greece. It is genuinely my favourite place in the whole of the world, so idyllic and calm. We decided to go on this trail but realised halfway up that we had forgotten our water, and as the temperature was above 40°C, we had to turn back. I have just started researching the role of Ionian islands in ancient civilisations like the Keftians and decided to check what the trail led to, and I am so disappointed about what we missed. Honestly, my love for Sami brings a tear to my eye when I talk or hear about it, and I wish to go back there some day. Thank you so much for the little glimpse back into Sami!
