You will never make money using indicators. They are lagging. They are trash. You are becoming cash cow for big banks. Instead use pure PRICE ACTION method or study Futures using volume profile better. I advise you to stay away from forex. It is addictive, dangerous and you will never make consistent profits.

Thanks for sharing. This is a nice confluence approach that has nice balance. There is another Indicator that supports this setup. It's 2 MACD charts with a certain setup which gives PERFECT pullback entry. I will be happy to share. MACD 1 - (FAST 34, SLOW 144, 9 Smoothing) gives Trend MACD 2 (FAST 13, SLOW 21, 9 ) gives Pullback. Thanks again for sharing.
best strategy imo... i use 9, 18, 40 simple. only long when the 2 smaller crossover are over the 40 and vice versa. The BEST entry is when the price is on the opposite side of the middle line, yet they havent crossed back. this way if they do cross back you can get out quickly and if it was a pullback you have the best entry. i dont use any indicators besides sma. the moving avg crossover is the most important signal of any indicator, but it gets dismissed. it tells you more than you can imagine.
Thanks a lot for this.. I use a similar method except that the EMA's I use are 55,89, 200 So I use an if then thought process. Step one, if the market makes a New structure high/ New structure low, then I wait for a pullback. Step two if the market makes a pullback, then i wait for price to move into the 55/89 Ema dynamic area. Step three: I look for supply zone within my potential reversal zone in confluence with the 55/89 EMA Step 4: I look for confluence of support/resistance with my supply zone Step 5: I make use of the fib retracement tool to look for confluence anywhere between the 38.2 and 78.6% of the retracement leg. There are other things i look at but basically these are some of the things you may want to consider.

@@StrongBanday very mixed, on at that time strong trending markets like lumber I outperformed, on more choppy markets (ES, NQ) I underperformed the market. The true question still remains, when is the market in a trend, and when is it just chopping around. Once you find a trend you can trade in that direction, but it can chop around the 200EMA for months. I mostly follow a Risk On Risk Off beta rotation strategy now, but keeping a lot of cash to invest once the fundamentals turn around, thats when I will be aggressively trading a long trend in single stocks, the past months were awful to trade, I‘m happy to be basically even.

Trade Pro first of all I would like to congratulate you for your great work. I have spent tones of hours backtesting different strategies till I find the holy grail which indeed does not exist. I am backtesting this strategy in a 4h and 30min multiple timeframe and seems to deliver good results when entering on the normal 30 minutes divergence after the pull back on the 20-50 ema on the 4h chart. @@lucashassan7444 50 helps confirm the trend direction. Sometimes a wick will test the 50 Ema to due to stop losses set based on the 20 on the pullback. If it bounces off of the 50 in the pullback, then you know the trend is strong in your suspected direction. You see it in the example as well some of the entry points hit the 50 Ema and then reverse direction continuing on the initial trend. The next bar would've been the point of entry

To< be successful in markets, traders should understand the crossover between asset classes & liquidity flow. Paula David focuses on Multi-asset trading, a single strategy to manage risk, profit, and the code or the actual decision-making across multi-asset classes. Her skills set is top notch.
Great for trending markets, although anybody using this in a ranging market will probably get destroyed. Another thing novice traders should be aware of is that if you're placing trades with the market order, your 1/2 risk to reward is actually going to be more like 1/1.5 (or less) because commissions will eat your profits and blow out your losses. The smaller the timeframe, the more you should be worried about commissions. Limit orders will help mitigate this (most brokers have significantly lower fees when using limit orders). Also be mindful of the liquidity of the asset you're trading. I don't normally trade anything with a 24h volume turnover of less than 50 million. Placing a large market order on an asset that doesn't have much liquidity will give you a sloppy entry, making it harder for you to achieve a 1/2 risk to reward. Hope this helps :)
I see a lot of these types of posts about spreads in Forex. It makes me wonder if novice traders generally enter with Market Orders. I always use Limit Order for entries. If you can't get the price you've designed in your strategy, you aren't really following your strategy. Market Orders ring to much of knee-jerk reactions, which is why I only use them for Stop Losses (and yes, that makes your stop loss worse than on paper).
it is only trend following strategy, not for ranging market. In ranging market Ema become flat and usual pass through the price. In that circumstance you should stay away from that pair. I have used similar strategy in the past, it do work.

This is excellent instruction from an excellent channel. I joined his Patreon today. That said, RSI is not a measurement of overbought and oversold. This is a common mistake. RSI measures the relative strength of the current price direction. Therefore, having the meter fully pegged or maxed out is a good thing if you are trading in the indicated direction. You actually want the indicator maxed out if you are in that trade. He is correct that a change in strength or direction is an excellent indicator for trade exit or entry because the momentum of that price action has begun to shift. Not because it is overbought or oversold but because money is starting to move in the opposite direction. Some people toy with RSI settings without understanding this and miss out on excellent trading opportunities or additional profits because they are afraid of a maxed out indicator.

This is probably the best EMA strategy I've found so far with rules that are easy to follow. Definitely gonna implement this in my trading and see how it goes.
For a better visual to find divergence, change your chart into a line chart instead of candles. There's also ' RSI divergence' indicators , on some platforms, that will alert you on any divergences.
I actually figured out a very similar strategy by myself about 2-3 months ago. I am glad I’m not the only one using this. And you explained it pretty good.

It would be better to choose a chart that has reversals. This chart is almost completely below/above 200 MA. Because the main goal in any timeframe is identifying pullbacks (fake-outs) from the actual reversals according to the timeframe.

The stochastic RSI is basically a stochastic indicator which is applied to the RSI indicator instead of to the price itself like a normal stochastic. This makes the stochastic RSI much more smooth and easier to read than a regular Stoch in my opinion and works much better with the strat he explains in this vid
When trading with fractals, should trader flip charts, 15M, 1H,4H,D1, all at once & see where support & resistance IS as shown by fractals on each frame--and if if it fits close to top/bottom of daily ADR, take that trade. Now 15M fractal level may not be robust(strength wise) enough--but 1H fractal is because to form 1H fractal, market could not penetrate THAT LEVEL IN 5 CANDLES WHICH IS 5 HOURS--and that is lot of data(strength).AND fractal on 1H chart is not just one man talking but line (support/resistance) drawn by millions of traders in those 5 hours. Just act on 1H fractal--and trade be in the direction of 4H/daily trend. I seek your wisdom ?

I like to use the 9 ema on a 5 minute as an exit guide . If you want a little more wiggle room you can use a 13 ema or even the 20ema retouch as your exit
You should try correlated pairs divergence instead of indicator based. I know its advanced and hard for inexperienced traders but its highly accurate when combined with everything else you mentioned. Oh and I'm the Eric who followed you in the beginning of you dropping vids I just changed my pfp lol
My only gripe is when in a downtrend and you're Shorting, you're entering your Short Position at a Premium, not at a Discount. Interested in seeing how the Strategy backtests regardless. When Shorting you are selling a Brokers reserves of an Asset at a "PREMIUM" and then when you exit a Short Position at a lower discounted price you are buying back and replacing those sold assets at a "DISCOUNT" Profiting off of the difference in price minus commissions in the process.

Quick question. If im looking for bearish divergents, how do i stop myself from already entering to early? Because at the time of the peak in the RSI the lower high in the RSI hasent been created yet. So how do i know i shouldnt be entering at the first peak already? I hope this makes sense
Cool! Btw, if you use three Bollinger Bands (20, 50, 100) instead of EMAs then their deviance lines also provide additional confirmations to StoRSI/RSI. E.g. in this case, when StoRSI is already on the top but you see the price still gets close to the upper deviance line then it warns you that it's too early to enter.
@@josephyeung2606 No-no-no. :) 1. Add three Bollinger Bands indicators to the chart. 2. Change the settings of two of them: 20 length is basic so it stays as it is. One another's length → 100, the third one's → 200 or 500 or 600. (If we are in 1-min timeframe then the 600-length BB is the BB from 30-min timeframe, 100 is from 5-min timeframe.) 3. You may lower the mess with some adjustment in styles, e.g. recoloring bandlines, adjusting linewidths, or simply switching them off and thereby turning these bands into clouds. Now you have a multi-timeframe deviance map. This 20-100-600 config may be adjusted to fit to the current volatility though. Combine it with VWAP, MACD etc., watch resistance and support levels, and you're on another level.

You will never make money using indicators. They are lagging. They are trash. You are becoming cash cow for big banks. Instead use pure PRICE ACTION method or study Futures using volume profile better. I advise you to stay away from forex. It is addictive, dangerous and you will never make consistent profits.

This is a nice confluence approach that has nice balance. There is another Indicator that supports this setup. It's 2 MACD charts with a certain setup which gives PERFECT pullback entry. I will be happy to share. MACD 1 - (FAST 34, SLOW 144, 9 Smoothing) gives Trend MACD 2 (FAST 13, SLOW 21, 9 ) gives Pullback. Thanks again for sharing.

best strategy imo... i use 9, 18, 40 simple. only long when the 2 smaller crossover are over the 40 and vice versa. The BEST entry is when the price is on the opposite side of the middle line, yet they havent crossed back. this way if they do cross back you can get out quickly and if it was a pullback you have the best entry. i dont use any indicators besides sma. the moving avg crossover is the most important signal of any indicator, but it gets dismissed. it tells you more than you can imagine.
You only enter on the pullback or you also enter when the sma's are in the correct order? and which currency pairs and time frames do you use?

So I use an if then thought process.
Step one, if the market makes a New structure high/ New structure low, then I wait for a pullback.
Step two if the market makes a pullback, then i wait for price to move into the 55/89 Ema dynamic area.
Step three: I look for supply zone within my potential reversal zone in confluence with the 55/89 EMA
Step 4: I look for confluence of support/resistance with my supply zone
Step 5: I make use of the fib retracement tool to look for confluence anywhere between the 38.2 and 78.6% of the retracement leg.
There are other things i look at but basically these are some of the things you may want to consider.
Rule 1: Big Trend: 200EMA: determines short/long with Trend
Rule 2: Dont enter until pullback to 20EMA
Rule 3: Stochastic RSI Overbought in a Downtrend
Rule 4: Drop to lower timeframe (4hr if using daily) look for divergence on RSI
Rule 5: TP lower than last low/ higher than last high
Rule 6: SL max 1/2 of R/R

@@StrongBanday very mixed, on at that time strong trending markets like lumber I outperformed, on more choppy markets (ES, NQ) I underperformed the market. The true question still remains, when is the market in a trend, and when is it just chopping around.
Once you find a trend you can trade in that direction, but it can chop around the 200EMA for months.
I mostly follow a Risk On Risk Off beta rotation strategy now, but keeping a lot of cash to invest once the fundamentals turn around, thats when I will be aggressively trading a long trend in single stocks, the past months were awful to trade, I‘m happy to be basically even.

Trade Pro first of all I would like to congratulate you for your great work. I have spent tones of hours backtesting different strategies till I find the holy grail which indeed does not exist. I am backtesting this strategy in a 4h and 30min multiple timeframe and seems to deliver good results when entering on the normal 30 minutes divergence after the pull back on the 20-50 ema on the 4h chart. @@lucashassan7444 50 helps confirm the trend direction. Sometimes a wick will test the 50 Ema to due to stop losses set based on the 20 on the pullback. If it bounces off of the 50 in the pullback, then you know the trend is strong in your suspected direction. You see it in the example as well some of the entry points hit the 50 Ema and then reverse direction continuing on the initial trend. The next bar would've been the point of entry

Great for trending markets, although anybody using this in a ranging market will probably get destroyed. Another thing novice traders should be aware of is that if you're placing trades with the market order, your 1/2 risk to reward is actually going to be more like 1/1.5 (or less) because commissions will eat your profits and blow out your losses. The smaller the timeframe, the more you should be worried about commissions. Limit orders will help mitigate this (most brokers have significantly lower fees when using limit orders). Also be mindful of the liquidity of the asset you're trading. I don't normally trade anything with a 24h volume turnover of less than 50 million. Placing a large market order on an asset that doesn't have much liquidity will give you a sloppy entry, making it harder for you to achieve a 1/2 risk to reward.

I see a lot of these types of posts about spreads in Forex. It makes me wonder if novice traders generally enter with Market Orders. I always use Limit Order for entries. If you can't get the price you've designed in your strategy, you aren't really following your strategy. Market Orders ring to much of knee-jerk reactions, which is why I only use them for Stop Losses (and yes, that makes your stop loss worse than on paper).
it is only trend following strategy, not for ranging market. In ranging market Ema become flat and usual pass through the price. In that circumstance you should stay away from that pair. I have used similar strategy in the past, it do work.
Not sure liquidity is a huge issue for most people watching this channel (beginner traders). 😂

That said, RSI is not a measurement of overbought and oversold. This is a common mistake. RSI measures the relative strength of the current price direction. Therefore, having the meter fully pegged or maxed out is a good thing if you are trading in the indicated direction. You actually want the indicator maxed out if you are in that trade. He is correct that a change in strength or direction is an excellent indicator for trade exit or entry because the momentum of that price action has begun to shift. Not because it is overbought or oversold but because money is starting to move in the opposite direction. Some people toy with RSI settings without understanding this and miss out on excellent trading opportunities or additional profits because they are afraid of a maxed out indicator.

This is probably the best EMA strategy I've found so far with rules that are easy to follow. Definitely gonna implement this in my trading and see how it goes.

For a better visual to find divergence, change your chart into a line chart instead of candles. There's also ' RSI divergence' indicators , on some platforms, that will alert you on any divergences.

It would be better to choose a chart that has reversals. This chart is almost completely below/above 200 MA.
Because the main goal in any timeframe is identifying pullbacks (fake-outs) from the actual reversals according to the timeframe.

I use regular stoch, for me I get a better win rate but you should backtest both and make your own conclusions, good luck
Just try both and see which lines up better with the pullbacks & dips. Stochastic for me.

The stochastic RSI is basically a stochastic indicator which is applied to the RSI indicator instead of to the price itself like a normal stochastic. This makes the stochastic RSI much more smooth and easier to read than a regular Stoch in my opinion and works much better with the strat he explains in this vid
When trading with fractals, should trader flip charts, 15M, 1H,4H,D1, all at once & see where support & resistance IS as shown by fractals on each frame--and if if it fits close to top/bottom of daily ADR, take that trade. Now 15M fractal level may not be robust(strength wise) enough--but 1H fractal is because to form 1H fractal, market could not penetrate THAT LEVEL IN 5 CANDLES WHICH IS 5 HOURS--and that is lot of data(strength).AND fractal on 1H chart is not just one man talking but line (support/resistance) drawn by millions of traders in those 5 hours. Just act on 1H fractal--and trade be in the direction of 4H/daily trend. I seek your wisdom ?

Cryptocurrency trading is quite profitable. I always prefer short trading over holding because I have made a lot of profit trading various profitable coins. I like to use the 9 ema on a 5 minute as an exit guide . If you want a little more wiggle room you can use a 13 ema or even the 20ema retouch as your exit
You should try correlated pairs divergence instead of indicator based. I know its advanced and hard for inexperienced traders but its highly accurate when combined with everything else you mentioned. Oh and I'm the Eric who followed you in the beginning of you dropping vids I just changed my pfp lol
My only gripe is when in a downtrend and you're Shorting, you're entering your Short Position at a Premium, not at a Discount. Interested in seeing how the Strategy backtests regardless.
When Shorting you are selling a Brokers reserves of an Asset at a "PREMIUM" and then when you exit a Short Position at a lower discounted price you are buying back and replacing those sold assets at a "DISCOUNT" Profiting off of the difference in price minus commissions in the process.

Quick question. If im looking for bearish divergents, how do i stop myself from already entering to early? Because at the time of the peak in the RSI the lower high in the RSI hasent been created yet. So how do i know i shouldnt be entering at the first peak already? I hope this makes sense

Cool! Btw, if you use three Bollinger Bands (20, 50, 100) instead of EMAs then their deviance lines also provide additional confirmations to StoRSI/RSI. E.g. in this case, when StoRSI is already on the top but you see the price still gets close to the upper deviance line then it warns you that it's too early to enter.

1. Add three Bollinger Bands indicators to the chart.
2. Change the settings of two of them: 20 length is basic so it stays as it is. One another's length → 100, the third one's → 200 or 500 or 600. (If we are in 1-min timeframe then the 600-length BB is the BB from 30-min timeframe, 100 is from 5-min timeframe.)
3. You may lower the mess with some adjustment in styles, e.g. recoloring bandlines, adjusting linewidths, or simply switching them off and thereby turning these bands into clouds.
Now you have a multi-timeframe deviance map. This 20-100-600 config may be adjusted to fit to the current volatility though. Combine it with VWAP, MACD etc., watch resistance and support levels, and you're on another level.
