- 2002 was a good year for Jeep and the WJ Grand Cherokee. After eliminating the automatic transmission cooler this unit proves to be a reliable way to crash into other cars and still drive onto the trailer afterwards.
4.0l wj is best bang for buck vehicle. Had a lifted and lockered one for “overlanding” that was fullly capable of hundreds of plush street miles and great solid axle backroad and mild rockcrawling trails. Love them.
Welding a diff that's still in the car is so underrated
Nothing makes my day at work better than this content
Thank you for destroying two crappy GC WJs. I'd have been happy to give you my 2004 WJ 4.0 for free. After two years of monthly repairs, I'm finally financially and patiently done. Replaced downflow O2 sensors last week and now the power windows, locks, key fob, passenger mirror, and dome light are intermittenly working this week. Mostly not working. I read about the door harnesses. No broken wires after testing for current, voltage, and resistance. Replaced both door modules and that didn't work. Appears the "Electrical Gremlins" got to it so off to the scrapper it went. It's a shame because it only had 84,000 on it and it looked like new but I wasn't about to sell it. The world will be a better place once all these P.O.S. Grand Cherokees are off the road.
Ugh sorry to hear yours gave you so much trouble. I laughed when you said 2 years of monthly repairs. I have a few cars like that. For me these jeeps have always been toys. They are good for offroad and smashing but I have never used one for daily commuting.
The 4.0 is king. This looked like a blast haha
That's some super soup. 69x ranger obviously the champion
