I've been driving since I was 8, sitting in my dad's lap. Couldn't reach the pedals, 9 and 10 dad was in vehicle with me. I'd drive by myself if I wasn't going far. I babysat. Dad didn't want the drunk dads, bringing me home.my dad was a fast driving. So am I. I wouldn't drive like these guys in city limits. Slow drivers cause wrecks too. I've never drove as fast as these guys.fastest for me is 120mph. No one was on the road. I'd slow down getting close to next city or town. If I drove as fast as them, I'd do it personally. I've had 3 speeding tickets in my teens. 2 were with 3 weeks of each other. Same state cop got me both times. the other was a couple yrs later in town. If cops were paying attention they could have got me for so much more. I love driving fast. I know what I'm going to do. You always have to keep your eyes on all the other drivers. Some are really crazy. You don't know what they are going to do. I dont drive close to big trucks. Can't see, so much can go wrong there. The only wreck I had was in town. Going to plan my dad's funeral. Forgot all about a stop sign. I wasn't speeding at all. I coasted through the intersection, never saw the other vehicle. They were on the other side of the hill, I couldn't see. If I'd been driving faster I'd already went through the intersection and not got hit. I was really slow. The other driver was speeding. I've slowed down now I'm 65, but not as slow as I probably should. I get out of the way, especially in town, because idiots are behind the wheel today. I'm not saying I'm an excellent driver, but I had a great teacher, teaching me things that aren't in the driving book to learn. With driving experience you pay more attention, or I do. I've had wrecks, but never my fault until I was 60 and was speeding. You have to stay alert at all times. No eating, drinking, putting on makeup, any of the things you see people do today. I'm shocked at what drivers do. Some on phone, reading papers or something else. They cause the wrecks more often. Many run over you from behind.one things for sure I don't drink and drive, not even water.driving is a skill, many don't have. I know what my abilities are. I know it doesn't give me the right to speed. Slowing down those other drivers cause pike ups. Stay away from other drivers unless passing, make sure you have an escape if they pull over in front of you. Get away from other drivers. There's always someone speeding. Usually if your driving fast they will move over so you can keep going. One thing I hate, drivers need to learn how to get on and off the interstate. Lots of wrecks happen there. You have to use all your mirrors, they aren't there to look pretty. Know your vehicle, how it runs, keep good tires on it. Have it serviced. It will last longer and move when you need it too. I'm a serious driver, I take all in consideration when driving. Not bragging. I'm grateful, thankful I learned so much in driving. That doesn't mean the next time I go out something won't happen. I pray it doesn't. When I've drove fast, I've had big trucks move over in front of me to slow me down, if a cop or accident was ahead. I dont get upset with them. They have protected me more than once. I considerate on what I'm doing when driving, paying attention to everything, even on the other side of the interstate. You never know when someone is coming across the median. So many today don't pay attention.at all. I see a vehicle or child coming up on the intersection, judging what they are doing I know what I need to do. One guy ran a stop sign, I was speeding, was watching. Slammed by brakes on ready to hit him. How I didn't I have no idea.our speeds I'd hit him on the back fender and would have spun him around causing my vehicle to be damaged all over. God was with me. God has protected me more than once. If I'd been doing speed limit he'd hit me in the side, probably doing damage to me if not killing me. Stay alert, pay attention, adjust speed according to what's happening. I'd rather get a speeding ticket than end up in the hospital or cemetery. I think phones should be put in the trunk, there would be no temptation to use it while driving. I think you should not have a phone at all if you cause an accident using while driving for at least a year and jail time. For the reason you can't read messages or dial and stay alert to the road and other drivers.
