I not only watched and loved the show as a kid, but I remember the giddy anticipation of waiting for the series to begin after seeing the commercials for it!
To me this is philosophically hilarious as I believe we are nothing but apes that walk around wearing clothes doing stupid shit for no reason other than attempting to compete for opportunities to succeed and continue our genetics into another generation. Nothing more than a hilarious shit show.

This was a great show back in the day. Back when TV was about comedy, Music and fun. Now TV is Boring and cerebral. The fun in TV has been removed and replaced with dull boring crap.
