Maine mass killing suspect found dead inside trailer near recycling plant

Lewiston, Maine, transitioned into a time of healing and questioning the day after an Army reservist who opened fire in a bowling alley and then at a bar, killing 18 people, was found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot. Authorities say Robert Card was found dead Friday in Lisbon Falls, Maine. Maine Department of Public Safety Commissioner Mike Sauschuck says Card was found at 7:45 p.m. near the Androscoggin River of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot. He declined to provide a specific address. Card was a trained firearms instructor who recently had been treated for mental health issues.
