    Used one my last year playing football in university in 2019, definitely noticed a difference. I use to see stars alot when tackling but the collar made that a non issue.

    The founder of this company gave a seminar speech at my university!!! Like years ago, way before it was a thing! Apparently he was originally contracted by the US government (who would’ve thought). I think they got there idea from wood peckers and goats…

    My son is a Dlineman for UNLV he started wearing one 4 games into the season and he did notice a difference but the only down side is he had 2 small bruises on his neck !!

    Last night was the first time I noticed players wearing them. I’ve been saying for a long time that hockey players need to wear a protective collar to protect their necks from someone’s skate blades (there have been deaths on the ice from players getting cut and bleeding to death). It looks like with a little tweaking, this could kill two birds with one stone.

      I don't know about you, but as a lineman I never took hard hits as a 1T DT.

      @@c.j.1089 I’m not asking so much for the extreme hits but rather the constant contact, for me I’m more interested in what this does for a lower level impact, but consistent to most if not all plays in the trenches.

    I'm grateful for the explanation of this. I probably noticed it the most on Pollard.
    It's doing what really needs to be done: cushioning the brain.
    Because there's so much money in college and professional football I believe one day someone may be bold enough/crazy enough to develop a substance players can inject into their skull to "protect" their brains.
    Seems far fetched, but...football is big business. Ha!

      That’s debatable. Depending on the type of athlete it can be pretty expensive but for players that are playing at the next level it’s definitely worth considering

    In high school we used to wear nike headsweatbands around our necks and guys with bigger necks would put one of those plastic headbands that girls used to keep their hair back (they look almost exactly like the Q collar) inside them. Maybe I should have kept wearing it instead of the Douglas neck roll I used in college.

    What’s a joke about NFL players is they say we’ll these helmets don’t keep us from getting Concussions but then they don’t even wear there helmet correctly. These helmets they wear are so loose that they just fall off when they barely get hit which makes the helmet just jar around & then there chin strap is so loose that they pull their helmets off without even unbuttoning it.💯

    The only issue I see with young kids getting it, is most of the time if parents get it for there freshman, how well will it work by the time they are seniors? They may end up having to buy another one between there junior and senior years, do to body growth.
