Honestly, i would consider putting the engine in an RX8 that will have the least problems. So when you drive, tune and test it, that you don't have to waste time if something other than the engine malfunctions/breaks (transmission, clutch, electrical stuff)
Drop the hybrid into the yellow one. The yellow one has been the test car to date regarding upgrades and dyno testing. Might as well keep this theme going.
@ADudesRotary nope! The RX8 was sold in the US so it can be legally imported already. Skylines were never sold here, that's why you have to wait. Unless they do it by specific models as well but I highly doubt it.

The RHD part isn't directly a problem, but the tendency to have moderately different crash structure(s) is. To legalize it, you'd have to bastardize it with US S2 fascias, bumper supports, and lights at a minimum.
Love to see the collection… hated getting rid of my rx7s,(well one of them fully burned to the ground)but I was too young to deal with cars that were so much work. Now that I have a house and a garage I’ve toyed with the thought of an rx8 or putting a rotary in my miata.
Have the side ports feed 1 turbo and the peripheral ports feed another. Could have a nice compound turbo setup if done right. A guy in aussie is running a hybrid setup and should be able to share the data from his exhaust pressure sensors.
Could be interesting see the engine on the yellow one since is more or could be more a potentially everyday car also can hit some times the track to see the engine work on a normal environment 😅
I’ve also got a line on a red one that has the engine pulled already. Jacked up housings/rotors.. Would definitely be lookin to just swap with another engine. But looks like I can get this clean 2005 Shinka for about $500. Needs tires too. I am partial to find a yellow one! My vote though is you snag the red one for this engine.
I would put the engine in the yellow RX8, I have not seen a lot of yellow ones and the color is awesome and it catches your attention immediately. Also I love your channel great content! Can't wait for the dyno on the yellow one!
Put this engine on yellow car, put the rew on green car so you can turbo the green car and build another engine for experimenting and put it on the car that you will buy later. I think that's a good plan because now you have a fast turbo rx8 for track day (the green), you have Bridgeport hybrid renesis to show off or prove (the yellow), and then you can also experimenting new set up on new car, maybe build it for reliable. Ohh one more thing. The green car engine can go into the blue rx8. That car have low compression right?.
put it in the green car, it needs a paint correction and a new livery (maybe lightning yellow or some other bright color?) but that green is sick in the sun..

You can't get the rotors out of time, you wont be able to put the rotor housings on. Thats why most put the rotor housing on first then the rotors.
