    For a bit of fun I though lt I’d stage a bit of a jump off and car crushing between the king of Tamiya Monster Trucks, the Clod Buster and Tamiya’s new truck the Squash Van. How do they jump only one way to find out, hope you enjoy checking it out 😉 take care.

    Nothing beats a clod for good old fashion RC fun.

    I can't see past a Clod! Such an iconic beast of an RC! Cheers Andy.

      Your not wrong there , there’s just something about a clod Buster that’s so cool :)

      It was good fun, the squash van
      Jumped well , must admit wouldn’t want to keep jumping the clod repeatedly for a long time though

    great video, both great cars in their own ways. I'd love a squash van, but I've got plenty to work on already 😂

    I'm definitly tempted to get the black clod later this year. There's just something about the look of this rig that screams childhood dream toy😄

      I do really like the black clod and I’d have that if the gray edition didn’t exist . Sadly can’t justify the black version as well . Cheers for watching ;)

    Great video. I've been wanting to see someone do more than just donuts with the Clod.

      Thank you, I do like to use my cars , you land the clod on its tyres the tyres absorb a lot of the shock from Jumping , the clod has limited suspension travel as it is. It’s all in the aid if fun.

    As a owner of a clod,I would never dare jumping it! Thanks.

      I must admit I wasn’t thrilled about jumping it, but you only live once ;) plus it was on soft ground so there was no damage ;)

    The Squash van is cool and performs better overall but I will take the Clod Buster any day over it! I just love the big lumbering drive it has!

    The Squash Van did very good out there, but the Clod Buster puts a bigger 😊 on my face.

    Well that first jump from the Clod pretty much sums it up. Squash van wins! Lol Great that you got both of these out and jumping them.

    Definitely the squash Van is the clear winner at jumping over the cars, but king clod is the car crasher King!

    Nice vid Andy. But easy on the Super Clod, I had a lot of "Ohhhh noooo" moment 😢 (I just finished mine and it took days to make the body 🥴). Honestly cannot pick a favorite, the paint on the Van looks awesome and the jumps are more "elegant", while, obviouly, the Clod is more brutal 😅😊🤝

    My choice is the Clod, mainly because I have one. I wouldn't be opposed to having a Squash Van, though!

      I’d always have a clod out of the two cars mainly because of nostalgia , although I love the squash van body which is very cool

    I am happy to see that the Tamiya Clod Buster did not break. Even when you jumped it. It is of course not fast, but it is not supposed to be. Thoughts?

      It be was some lights I had fitted inside the shell , it had been a temporary thing. I’ve pulled them all out now

    The Squash Van really jumps like a champion. If there is onw thing that bothers me about it, i was hoping for it to have the wider a arms from the old tamiya wild dagger and blackfoot xtreme series of vehicles. Do you think wider a arms would improve the Squash Van?

    The suspension on the clod buster is very basic did you find out why it was cutting out

    • @andyrobinsonrc2480
      @andyrobinsonrc2480  11 месяцев назад

      Yep it’s pretty basic and they are friction shocks as well, but part of the charm , the tyres make up for the limited suspension travel on though. The cutting out was due to the battery being on the low side .

    hehe, i have a clod buster, i love it, just trying to find a battery it likes, it doesn't like 4000mah too much, so imma try 3000mah

    • @_blood_moon_proto_1500
      @_blood_moon_proto_1500 11 месяцев назад +1

      on another note, i think that cutting out is the speed controller either not liking batteries or something about the motors is what is does not like

    • @andyrobinsonrc2480
      @andyrobinsonrc2480  11 месяцев назад +1

      Hiya , all it was in the end is that the battery I was using was a little on the flat side that’s all. Thank goodness ;)

      @_blood_moon_proto_1500 11 месяцев назад

      @@andyrobinsonrc2480 thats good, at least you don't have my problem, fully charged 4000nimh seem to be too much for my speed controller cus mine cuts out with a series of beeps before it goes again

      All my batteries are old on the Clod I set the forward punch down a bit.
      The 2 motors call for to much power are the speed controller shuts down. Less punch seemed to help for me.
