- Lesterville, MO (on the Black River) used to be BIGFOOT's old stomping grounds for testing and playing. In this footage from May 23, 1990, BIGFOOT Ranger, BIGFOOT Shuttle and BIGFOOT Fastrax all have a go at it, on the gravel and in the water!
Check out BIGFOOT at bigfoot4x4inc/ or at bigfoot4x4.com
i'm never gonna get enough of this old footage! Keep em coming please! These are the Monster Trucks I remember!
Always.have been BIGFOOT fan. Miss seeing these old style monster trucks. Love the videos
The Bigfoot Ranger is just too cool. I remember there used to be a powder blue version of it. I think it was called Mrs. Bigfoot or something.
You're right
Nope Ms Bigfoot was a 1985 Ranger this is a 89-92 body. But probably identical otherwise
Same truck. Ford came to Bob and said we would like you to get it to match the rest. Ford probably kicking in some $ back in the day. The baby blue did start off with the older front end. The flush mount headlights on earlier 90's was something guys would swap to. Kinda like a 4 eyed Fox body mustang with an areo nose
I like how you guys just have the audio no extra music. I can hear the trucks
Me Too. That's what I pretty much prefer the sounds of the engine
Absolutely
Yes!!!
Just pure awsome power the way it should be
Who wouldn’t want to hear a supercharged Big Block Ford, or 2 or 3?
I love that ranger. So freakin cool looking
Look how nice these old trucks were. :-)
Always been a huge Bigfoot fan but now I see you guys have an atc in the back of the ranger! FUCK YEAH! 3 wheelers ftw! Bigfoot and bigred!
The original ripsaw!!!😎🇺🇲🖤
Imagine being able to go back to 1990 and telling them that monster trucks 30 years from then could jump 100+ feet and do backflips...lol...
Just a normal fun family weekend. (If your Bob Chandler or Jim Kramer) What a blast this must have been.
Rangerfoot haulin an atc, hell yeah 😎
Awesome!
I remmember this commercials..then the show.
I would do this but I had a red Branco raised up like a mother. #90$
The ranger always was my favorite after bf1. That little truck could take a beating. I wish a modern day version would be built. Im sure the ranger could hold its own aginst today's mega trucks if it was still around.
The original Bigfoot Ranger still exists.
@@user-uj3zk2cx8t did someone piece it back together? I knew years ago the axles and wheels/tires got put on some s10.
thats american rite there, just out in a pit hanging out playing with powertoys... cant get away with that too many places anymore.
Bigfoot..... my childhood superhero!
This was Trucks Gone Wild before TGW was a thing.
that would be my dream camping trip. must have been a blast and one hell of a good memory for Bob and family.
This is really awesome footage. I grew up in the area (Black, Mo) and know exactly where they are practicing at. I also remember a couple other trucks gathered under the Centerville bridge and how cool it was to be able to stand inside the rim of Bigfoot's tire because it was so huge! Great memories
I thought it was Blackwell, MO? Not "Black"
You know, the bigger trucks are fun, but Ms Bigfoot seems to be alot more action fun, if that makes sense. I really can tell Bob likes the feeling of her, and is very comfortable inside the beauty. Shuttle seems to do impressively well in water... Lol despite the limited horsepower... And Trax, well... We all want to drive it!! Awesome video! Seems like a behind the scenes of the home video, Bigfoot- King of the monster trucks.
These guys were ahead of their time
It's the shuttle running a straight 6 or V6? Love these old vids! Looks like the fastrax bent a drive spindle!
The Shuttle ran a 3.0 V-6. It was also equipped with a nitrous kit for a lil extra "OMPH". Since it was so light and nimble, it often out performed regular monsters." if there really is such a thing."
Time stamp? All I heard were big v8’s
@@theangryitalian7922 If the shuttle is v-8 than it's the saddest one I've ever heard
The only thing about 3.0 fords was that they were quite weak stock. Especially when comparing 3.0 v6 rangers to 4.0 v6 rangers so it was most likely it had to have been running nitrous or some type of way for that extra bit of power
That thing was gutless
That motorhome looks awesome!
I love watching these old videos. I wish monster trucks were still like these.
Looks fun. I'm so glad Bob has always had video and photography as an interest.
That and safety reasons to
Looks like Shuttle was the most fun
So is this the literal definition of good, clean, fun. If so, that is good for me. Awesome footage.
Funny that the littlest truck was he most entertaining!
I had that track vehicle in the late 80s or early 90s toy. I would rather see the monster truck look like this. Even if it takes away from their flips and other tricks
If the Aerostar had a more powerful engine threat thing would slay top truck challenge look at the clearance approach departure angles
I love this channel!!!
Wow, I'm really surprised that the Bigfoot Shuttle which was running only the stock, naturally-aspirated V6 didn't break down after being driven through water like that without a snorkel! It shows how skilled an engineer Bob really is!
Mannthese were goodnold days were they had the mud pits andnu could ride thru the river
Hope to see some unseen footage of Bigfoot #7!!!
Ahh.......the blessed days before the DNR stuck their nose in things...
That's how you know Bigfoot will never second!
this has been amazing watching all of yall's home movies. please keep it up!!
dam it sux he sold all those vehicles
I remember seeing Bigfoot Fastrax at the Indy Super Pull. I don't remember the year...I was in grade school...but I remember it making a full pull....probably no weight on the sled.
MAY 23RD , 1990 , I WAS FOUR YEARS OLD ON THIS DAY???......... ......HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAAHAHAHAAHHA, TOOO FUNNY. thanks boys.
I was 6 don’t feel bad we are both getting old lol
I was a little over 3 months old.
Those aerostat had wicked awd
Hii bob, you're Bigfoot legend, so these are bigfoot brothers, there awesome.
Guess the motor in the 4x4 van
Jason Richardson 4.0
I love the sound of the BIGFOOTS
Nice!! I'm a Ford man and I've always liked the Ranger, the two I've owned were tough little 4x4's, one had over 312,000 miles on it and NEVER needed drivetrain work...He's got what looks like a late 80's Honda ATC 185 in the bed....I've owned 4 ATC's, a 110, a 185, a 200x, and the one I still own, an 87 250R Ported/Polished w/a Cobra Kit exhaust, I love me some 3 wheelers...🤘🏻✌🏻
Didn’t the ranger become miss bigfoot?
I live in Lesterville
Ha ha 😂 stupid van got stuck and the best Bigfoot had to pull him out
That Ranger is so awesome but the Shuttle was pretty cool too
Floated the Black River many times -
bob chandler world's "oldest" kid at heart all the play toys but has the money and knowledge to have funn ... lol
Love this !
This is pure awesome man The testing grounds for Bigfoot is right in the Missouri Ozarks.
What engine was used in the Shuttle?
My first vehicle was a 95 Aerostar so Bigfoot fastrax with the Aerostar body I like a little more than the old body
You are forgetting miss big foot
this is so awesome
When nobody was sensitive.
Great old footage! Back when you could go to the river and have fun!!
I remember when Bigfoot ranger was powder blue and called Ms Biggfoot, Not sure, but i think the powder blue version (Ms Bigfoot) was the original setup
Ms Bigfoot was an older version of ranger
Thanks for sub, I like this channel.
The V6 in the Aerostar
Seems like a great place to test those smaller ones on good spring or summer day
I love the FasTrax truck, man!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Growing up this is what I saw as quintessential America. Damn cool.
A far cry from today's lot, wearing dresses and peeing in the ladies toilet. Not so cool.
These are awesome vehicles!
The Netherlands Love's Big foot
The legend of the monster truck is big foot
tis the exact reason why i love the ranger till now
LOL is this really how ford marketed their vans in the 80s?
If Ford had been thinking, they could have offered a BF Shuttle option. Then again, it may have been too pricy.
What motor is n the shuttle they are holding that thing to the floor 😂😂
I believe it was a 3.0 V-6. It also had nitrous for a lil extra "kick"
Whatever happened to Fastrax? Do you guys still own it?
Go on their website. They have a history of every vehicle. I think they did sell Fastrax.
They sold it
They sold it before they moved to their current location in Pacific, MO.
I think it was sold to a fella named Chandler Lloyd, who also purchased the BF Ranger and used the drive train for an S-series bodied "mini monster". Please correct me if I'm wrong.
I love the engine sounds, absolutely eargasmic I dare say lol I cant help but wonder how a Power-Stroked or Cummins powered Bigfoot MT or a modern but restriction free preferably Diesel Fast Trax With an E350 body, Either one or both imo modified by Bigfoot would be potentially Amazing I'm willing to bet!
Hahah I love the van. Probably the only cool Astro van ever kinda makes me want one just like it haha. What engine is that running it sounds like it's wound right out to move those tires
The BF Shuttle was an Aerostar. If I remember right, it was a 3.0 V-6 equipped with a nitrous kit.
The fastrax was an Aerostar too, with tank treads and _two_ blown Ford big block hemis
Those poor fish!
well i wonder what fuel cost were back then 1,000 for a lil playtime lol
Gas was like .89 a gallon in the early 90's
Looks like a fun way to spend an afternoon. Guess working for BIGFOOT 4x4 does have a few perks. I'm guessing "a little" testing and training was involved for the day. Still looked fun. Would have loved to been there observing or riding shotgun, of course I wouldn'tve said "no" if offered a chance behind the wheel( or levers, as it were) Thanks for posting these vintage BIGFOOT clips. Please keep em coming.
Does the ranger have rear steer?
Ok I just saw it does
i wish i could have seen the og bigfoot in action i would love to build a replica of that bigfoot
