Thank you so much, I couldn't really get into dartable, I watched a lot of boring videos but your is very good, you don't loose time you go directly to the tips. It's great !!!
These days, when many of us have been forced to stay at home, we can catch up and watch videos for which we did not have time. :) This was one of those. Thanks to this I learned how to use snapshot. :) Finally I know how to compare initial image with that after all changes. After 8 months of using DT :D
Another great video. Keep up the great work! One tip for other readers, in dt 3.x, the zoom key is changed from Z -> W. The video was shot using dt 2.x where the zoom was Z, but now Z is for undo and W is for zoom.
Awesome! I just started seriously editing my pictures (and picked darktable as my editor) and this was very helpful, especially because many other tutorials online are for Lightroom! Looking forward to checking out your other videos.
Hello Allison! I'm so happy to hear that my tutorials are of help to you! Darktable is a fantastic raw photo editor with loads of possibilities! Every Thursday a new tutorial will be uploaded. I'm pretty sure you'll like the tutorial that I'm uploading this Thursday. I'll edit a picture from A-Z using different modules :)! Thanks again for following along, I appreciate that!
Excellent tutorial, Rico! It's amazing to me all the things you can do in darktable. I had never seen before the ability to correct rotation and perspective at the same time. Really cool man!
Thank you Alfonso! I appreciate that! Welcome to my channel. If you run into problems or have questions about darktable, let me know and I'll do my best to answer them as good as possible.
Rico thank you for the videos you put out! In the lightable the way my pics are displayed has changed stars are no longer across the bottom, also when I select one as soon as I move off it it becomes unselected. I am new to darktable but I can see that there is a lot of potential. THANKS AGAIN! I am working in Windows10
Hi Rico, thanks for the video. One question… back in the beginning, when you were choosing a software to commit to, did you also consider RawTherapee. If yes, what were the reasons why you picked Darktable as the winner. Thanks and apologies if this is a slightly stupid question.
Hi, it's not a stupid question. Darktable was something I remembered from years ago, and that's when I decided to try it again and stick with it. So no particular reason.
Thank you so mych Polyvios! I really appreciate you taking the time to leave a comment for me. Hope to see you ony my channel again! If you have ideas for tutorials, please let them know and I'll see what I can do!
There definitely are Martin! GIMP for Photoshop, darktable for Lightroom, Audacity for Audition, DaVinci Resolve for Première Pro, and DaVinci Fusion(within Resolve) for After Effects. Inkscape for Illustrator.
Hello Pablo, I made a seperate video about color correction and color grading. Here is the video on color grading: ruclips.net/video/r6FjLin_8M4/видео.html
I downloaded Darkroom and found it too over the top for me and so I went to uninstall in MS and uninstalled it(2X), however it keeps popping up when I boot in the AM; help please. Thank you.
Instant like this video for clickbaiting title, that cutted somewhere after the word "should" :D by the way, i prefer GNU/GPL and open-source software.
Very good explained. I was still there till the end. Watchtime by fellow RUclipsrs👊 The tips you explain are also usable in other picture and video editing programs. This kind of video's you have to make more often.👍 100 views in two days. I wish al my video's could have that effect. Perhaps you did also some research for your title🤔
Hey Otto! Fantastic to see you here again! It's awesome to read that you've watched the entire tutorial and like what you saw! I 100% agree, the tips here can be used elsewhere as well! Many more tutorials will follow! Regarding the title: I did do some research, but my tutorials are being posted on different platforms. My regular vlogs on Sunday aren't. That explains it I guess.
Before, I know you can take a snapshot of an edited image and see how the effects applied appear, what I want to do is compare 2 separate images side by side prior to editing
Hopefully I understood your question correctly. Darktable has a filmstrip option. All you have to do is import the pictures and go to the darkroom menu. On the bottom you'll be able to scroll through the images. Is this the answer you were looking for?
Rico's Story No it's not exactly the answer I am looking for but Thank you very much for responding, Here is an example of what I am talking about comparing images in the filmstrip ruclips.net/video/4mcEPJPQTyI/видео.html
