Thank you for putting this out there for us , YES the multi engines and such is nice , but love how the homegrown lays it out there like they pulling in front of the 1000s
I’m sure they get paid decent. Drive to the event, take out weights, take off scales, talk to the pullers and promoters, run the show based off of previous memories, adjust gear on weight box, add weights, take out weights, make sure the box moves each time down the track, throw the kill switch if something starts going sideways, and then pack it all up and drive home. You are the judge and jury making sure everything is fair for each puller. A lot of people don’t know this but each puller had the chance to move the cone, that tells the sled operator where to back up to.
Man what in the world was the driver of the white Dodge’s issue? The first pull it took him forever just to get to the sled, and at the end of the pull he was still sitting while the next truck was already hooked ready for his pull. And at the end of his second pull I don’t know whether he was having transmission issues and lost reverse, or just zoned out and the sled had to pull up just to unhook. Then the dude still hesitates before moving.
