    Bro zoom handssssss down best multi effects in the business I’ve had 6 hx stomps. Yeah that’s right 6 at different points in the past years since it was released and when it comes to bass I always keep coming back to my b3n b3 and ms 60b for allll types of gigs.

    I think you missed an important feature - you can change where in the 'effects chain' that the R output is taken... So you can have outputs for pre and post amp modelling (or other effect).

    I have it, and I love it! And, to set this straight: It's made of cast metal, not plastic.
    It came out at just the right time when I was thinking about getting a compact multi-effect pedal. I was considering a MS-60B or a B1 Four (too dated), a Pod Express Bass (too dumb and cheaply built), some kind of fly rig (too limited) or one of the many bigger multi-effect pedals or modelers (too big, complex and overpowered for my use). The MS-60B+ hits the sweet-spot!

      I am considering buying this device.
      Can you clarify the controls of the device, since I have not found any information anywhere...
      1. Is it possible to create a bank with 3-4 prepared presets?
      2. Is it possible to turn on presets in a selected bank in any order with one click, without scrolling through the presets?
      3. How convenient is it to switch the buttons with your foot, since they are so small?))
      4. Does it have an octaver, chorus shimmer?
      Thanks for the answer!

    • @VeitLehmann
      @VeitLehmann 9 дней назад

      @@kotanel This works a bit differently: You don't have banks with presets, but you have patches on one level which you can switch with the upper buttons. Each patch can consist of 1 to 6 effects which operate like stomp boxes. You can use the lower buttons to scroll through them and then use the main button to switch them on or off.
      The buttons around the main button are not super easy to operate with the foot, but it's possible, you'll get used to it quickly. I basically angle my toes down to operate the upper buttons, and up to operate the lower buttons. The four knobs to adjust the parameters are pretty small as well. I think they found the best possible compromise for the pedal size, but I might have preferred everything 10-20% bigger.
      And yes, there are multiple octavers and chorus effects, and all sound really great to me!

    • @kotanel
      @kotanel 9 дней назад

      @@VeitLehmann Thanks for the answer! I understand correctly: To achieve a sequence in one song: a clean sound, then an overdriven sound, then a clean sound again, will I have to do a lot of leg movements?)) Use the bottom button to select overload, then turn it on with the center button, then select the current patch, press the center button again? Probably this multi-effect is best used in this way: choose the desired patch and play the entire song with it?

    after having quite a lot of multi effect pedals I went back to buying analog versions to get rid of the colouring of the sound that happens when then signal is converted to digital and back. but it‘s so great to try a huge variety of sounds for so little money! 😊🎉

    I just bought this one! Overall really cool to have so many optoins in a small pedal format. I'm having some veird digital noise with some effetc. Like reaching processing power limit even when usind just one effect. It happens mostly with filters and octaves. Maybe it is caused by too much input gain? Any similar experiences or idea to solve the issue? Also some effect parameters are too limited and can't really ajust thing that I'd like to.
    I would happily pay double to eliminate these issues...

    If you have Ms-60b, old version is important to update firmware, it give you lots of effect, amps and cabs
    Users - try to run my favorite distorion sound. Ampeg SVT(everything at 12 clock) 810 Ampeg cabinet at 60/70% and Bass dist 1 effect(everyting on 12 o clock) but tone on 40. Fantastic light distortion which you can easy "punch" with harderd finger attack
    Ps. I compare my MS60b with amplitube... zoom is definetly better

    The MS-60B+ is a subsequent improvement of its predecessor.
    I loved the old -60B, -70CDR und -50G and the new "version" has a new and more powerful audio chip.
    I compared the old and the new version side by side - many parameters can be adjusted finer and more usable in a live situation. Finallly a HPF and a LPF.
    The statements like "all zoom is crap" are simply bullshit. If the Zoom doesn't match you taste - ok.
    But simple bashing is stupid.
    You have to examine the pedal and its parameters.
    The "+" has ( in my opinion ) better presets which aren't so overloaded.
    And the best way is: erase all presets and start on your own.
    The MS-60B+ is no competitor for let's say a Helix Stomp, but a wonderful swiss army knife.

  • @hillie47
    @hillie47 5 месяцев назад +1

    Are there any restrictions with regards to effect types in the chain? E.g. could I do the darkglass pre/OD and an SVT after each other? Is there also a limitation on effect chain length, can one do effects in parallel, or just wet/dry? Did you ever run out of processing power? I can imagine the poly octaver (if I recall correctly seeing that somewhere) could be eating up resources.
    Thanks for the review, I put it in my sweetwater cart through your link.

    FINALLY at Zoom they understood that those teeny tiny buttons surrounding the footswitch in the old MS-60 models, were a pain in the ass! Too little and too flimsy! In my first MS-60B one of the four buttons ceased working so I couldn't access a bunch of functions. So I got another MS-60B (because come on, it's a Swiss Army knife, totally worth its price) and now, after a lot of use, EVEN THIS ONE has one of those little buttons becoming unreliable. DEFINITELY a weak point in its design, so much that I was considering alternative pedals. But in that price range the MS series is tough to beat. Now this new version seems to have overcome the issue, with larger and sturdier buttons... hopefully! 😅

  • @russellzauner
    @russellzauner 5 месяцев назад +1

    OMG it looks like a tiny version of my B1x4 - if it has an expression input to use expression peripherals (yes including a standard expression pedal) that would be insane - but it is an upcharge, being that I got the B1x4 for a c-note USD new on sale.
    That being said, Zoom has the largest tone print/effects catalog in the industry except *maybe* Boss but while Boss has far more effects pedals and most of them are popular, when you go to the Boss tools and the Zoom tools your options are simply massive for Zoom. I also have a Katana Air which isn't a big amp but it gives you access to Boss' tone print/effects catalog, and either Boss is slacking on getting everything into their tool or Zoom just makes it a LOT easier as well as having a bit bigger/deeper patch well to dig into. Boss has plenty though and their most popular pedals will always be available through their much more expensive modelers/multifx, so it's not so much an advantage for most as a data point.
    But I heart this little guy already - should be able to work expression peripherals in through MIDI but that's kind of a hike for something I should be able to just socket into it at this point - expression input isn't a big software change so if I'm bringing my own hardware with a standardized input, that should be directly pluggable. Just more notes to take when I finally get tired of dealing with compromises and constraints and just make the thing that will let you do all the things and then sell people a downloadable hardware subscription - if their device needs more space for more function, then they can buy a bigger stomper with a couple more buttons or knobs on it. But yes, my plan is to allow people to pay a nominal fee for access to a library of downloadable pedal configurations on a platform built on FPGA/analog PSoC type hardware. Programmable analog SoCs have gotten enough input bandwidth to use in audio applications and nobody has really exploited that yet.
