GARDEN TOUR: Family Friendly Landscaping Ideas

- Backyard Garden Tour!! This weekend I visited a garden with which I have lots of experience. It belongs to my friend Elaine, a neighbor and excellent gardener... and fellow mom carpooler when our kids were little. On the spur of the moment, I asked her if Stewart and I could come over and conduct a video tour of her beautiful backyard… Complete with a small herb garden. Treehouse. Outdoor fireplace and dining area. Whew!
So many great ideas to steal in this video, my friends. You will want to take notes! Both big statements and little touches. Hope you enjoy it and if you do make sure to like it, subscribe and forward to someone who might get some ideas from this wonderful family space!

Love that her garden is a functioning garden for her AND her family. The tether ball put a smile on my face. I had one of those in my yard when I was a little girl. Almost as nostalgic as dodge ball.
Thank you to Elaine for the lovely tour of her garden. Such a pretty sanctuary and I love the kid friendly elements that are still there- I am sure her grandchildren are enjoying them now! Looking forward to seeing what wonderful plans for the secret garden which is just so charming now.

I also love garden ornaments. My hubby calls them yard knick knacks. I have to say I have influenced others to add things to their gardens, as well.
Elaine's fireplace area with the pergola is lovely. I like how the wall is rounded facing out to the yard. What a beautiful cozy space to entertain. Nice job, Elaine!
