Join us for a laidback walk through Obidós on a sunny day.
For more than 600 years-starting with King Alfonso II and Queen Urraca in 1210-Óbidos was given to the queen of Portugal as a gift from the king.
Óbidos’ historic center is completely encircled by its medieval castle.
It is also famous for its Ginjinha, also known as ginja, is Portugal’s most popular liqueur. Made with morello cherries, ginjinha is served in a small, shot-sized glass, often made of chocolate.

besides being so beautiful portugal is very affordable... family members have spent a couple of winters there and loved it
