You man made my day. Thanks for this very crisp video. Changed the role the first time, 100% copied, works immediately. I can only recommend doing the same thing for everyone. It probably couldn't be easier. Regards
I'm curious to see how much longer the XL roll lasts. I just changed my first roll on the lagoon tank to the "new" roles and it seems to be lasting along time!
You prolly dont care at all but does anybody know of a method to log back into an instagram account..? I stupidly lost my login password. I would love any help you can give me!
@Mustafa Gordon i really appreciate your reply. I found the site thru google and im waiting for the hacking stuff atm. Takes a while so I will get back to you later with my results.
I learned to turn the skimmer off for a few hours when I change it. They have a new XL role and the material is a bit different so now I’m curious to see if that happens with it or not
I went 6 months on 1 roll I could not leave 1 roll on the system and put the new roll they touched each other. I would have loved to use the off set but my sump setup did not let me so I had to just pull it by hand with the new roll in place . But it did work out and the staples caught a little but it still was able to feed . Limited space and Limited area makes this stuff much harder than it needs to be . End the end no fault of the product . I wish my other tank with the eshops sump could take the unit I'd get a second one but it wont support it without having to buy a new sump.
I do mine similar but I don't waste any of the new roll I take the old roll off unwrap a little and use that to reattach it to the motor so your not wasting new roll
Hey, how do u plumb dual drains into it. My hob overflow box is a eshopps dual 1' drain. I'm up grading my tank next spring and going wit the Eclipse gohst overflow box still dual drains. Do I have to get to filter rollers or get a Y pcv fitting to reduce dual drains down to 1 but is that to much flow for the 300 or 500 roller ?
How on earth do you keep the used roll loose enough to pop the inner sleeve off the motor body, min grips on so tight and clamps onto the motor body one one end

Great videos mate. Just got mine installed yesterday it's the best thing I've seen in a while very impressive
My first roll is nearly ready for change
8 weeks it lasted well impressed with
Bought a xl roll for my next one £13 in the uk

How to fit Replacement D-D Clarisea Motor Module (for SK3000
I just installed my ClariSea yesterday . Other than having to re setup my drain lines it went well.
Good to hear!

Ok wow this actually genius. No more feeding it through the two rollers manually.
Sooooooo much easier :)
What if the dirty side is a little "off center"? As in, as it rolls, it starts rolling off the actual roller because the fleece is on a slight angle?
Happy to see your Skimmer overflowing when you change the roll. Thought it was just me 🙂

I didnt use it but it did come with a little arm so you can raise up or offset one of the roles.

How do you attach them together? I didn’t want to leave staples in water
@@ReefDudes staples like you but I pull the clean roll to above the water line

You could Y into one or just only hook up one drain and let the other one flow through. It will still cycle a good chunk of water through it

get strong kid
Praise be!
Appreciate very much.
Hey dev just got a 3000 , I think my motors spinning the wrong direction have your hear or seen this before
I figured it out
What was it? Sides backwards?
@@ReefDudes yes the directions are not the Best! But between them and your video I figured it out ! Thanks
one roll for your aquarium for how many days is enough?
Last one was a little over 2 months
@@ReefDudes My first roll only lasted 3 weeks
Andrew Mclaughlan first one will go quicker as you prob have lots for it to clean up. Over time they seem to last longer and longer
Does it smell?
Suprisingly no obvious smell as it rolls up the nasty and encases it
Top tip great video
Hi, I want to ask, on average, how long does it take to change the filter roll?
To change it? prob 5 min
@@ReefDudes sorry, that's not what I meant. how long does one roll of filter take?
6-8weeks
Are you worries the Clarisea will strip your tank and make it too clean ?
I leave the bypass door open a little so it doesn’t Strip it completely
@@ReefDudes is there a bypass in the unit, that can be adjusted??
@@Tonitune yea it is a little door in the front of the unit
Very smart. Thank you!
Welcome! :) Way easier then fishing new roll through! :P
Are these noisy? All the videos I’ve seen on them seem to sound like a running stream which is putting me off. It’s a shame
It’s silent other than the the 2 seconds of the motel advancing the roll when it’s clogged.
Thanks!
Smart!
I dont have one but I've been curious
Much nicer than dealing with socks every few days
@@ReefDudes I totally agree
😀
Anyone else notice his protien skimmer filling up
George Brumfield a brand new roll does tend to mess with the skimmer a bit. I normally turn the skimmer off for an hour or so when adding a new role
@@ReefDudes probably best, I'm still unsure if it's worth it I don't mind cleaning socks
Woooooo
Instead of pullling off the statples, why not just cut the new roll paper/filter? Seems like you’re doing twic the work….
Thats what I do these days, cut it across with scissors then make the little notch to attach it nicely :)
Just fitted one on my redsea 250 v3
Nightmare had to cut the filter sock part out
Worth it though check my vid out

Pulling out loads of crap
Helped with ur vids to be honest

Its not bad at all! worth it not to change socks constantly :)
