remember the pistons with this effect? what if you had pistons that have the extenders circle behind it and push it forward? Or better yet, a "useless machine". Once you power it, the extended part directs over to the object that is powering it and disconnects/turns it off, retracting the piston.
As soon as I saw the items spin I thought of that game where there’s a little light that spins and you press a button to stop the light and there is like a number of how many points you get how it will work with the hopper there will be a diamond emerald gold and iron ingot each worth a different amount of points so just throw an item in and try to land on a better item to get more points.

It's a quantum trash can.
The contents are in a state of constant flux and can be either thrown away or still existent. Their quantum state cannot be directly observed as the items within cannot be observed. They are either left "thrown out" indefinitely or collected, but collecting them removes their quantum tag. (Assuming the items were only pushed forward for illustration and would not be by default.)
That's probably the first thing you made, that i would add into my normal world... it's just such a cool way to store singular items

Fun Fact: this might actually have a use since it keeps your items from despawning and it's basically a container with infinite slots, though it will be laggy if you put alot of stuff in it.
If this 'Copper' has infinite space, then it is really good for mob farms to 'Take care' of your junk items, that will just spam normal chests.

I thought there were no circles in Minecraft. This guy discovered something new: Circular hoppers.
It's no longer a hopper, but a buffer.
Items will never despawn, and it can hold an infinite amount of items, provided you programmed it correctly.
If you didn't, it'll be Max Hopper Size * Item Stack Size * Amount of Hoppers amount of items.
Also the items will stop moving and despawn.
