    These interviewers clearly don’t watch the league with messing up Angel’s name and not letting Cathy finish her sentences. Also, Cathy dropped the ball with the charter roll out. Some teams still have to bus and take commercial while others like Indiana already had their charter yesterday. That’s a competitive advantage. One that she didn’t like other teams doing a few years ago and had fined NY for chartering their women before everyone else. The owners didn’t even know this week that she was approving charter flights. They found out thru media. The transparency with team leadership and the WNBPA is awful.

    Before she even plays a game Caitlin Clark is the one that is underpaid.. and demands a salary increase based upon ticket sales and demand alone!

    How did he mess up Angel Reese's name?? Besides Caitlyn Clark, Angel is the second most popular player right now. Numbers don't lie. If the WNBA hopes to succeed they better start promoting players like Angel Reese as well. Because just like Bird vs Magic. Caitlin needs a player to go against her or it won't work. Rivalries are a good thing in sports.

    Spoken like a true CEO. She has vision but also grounded in reality. Unlike her predecessors, she knows that WNBA is a business first. She was very quick to latch on selling Indiana Fever on nationally televised to latch on CC effect.
    Her only problem now is creating that rivalry without all the gaslighting from old guard players like Grimes, Taurasi, and Breanna Stewart. It would be awesome if they can get a Fever vs Aces rivalry in the playoffs, with Liberty as the third wheel.
    Creating the Ionescu vs Clark match up would also be great as they are good friends. Just keep Stewart out of the picture. Maybe a Kelsey vs Vandersloot match up would be nice as well.

    The immediate problem the WNBA has is that their regular season is starting in the middle of the NBA playoffs. The NBA playoffs go thru June.
    The American sports fan will 100% not turn over to the WNBA regular season once the NBA post-season is over. Why is that?
    America doesn’t even watch regular season NBA! America surely will not watch regular season WNBA!
    WNBA is at an interesting inflection point. Unfortunately, the WNBA will not inflect upwards. The WNBA playoffs start when the NFL regular season starts. Ouch! Even WITH Caitlin Clark, the WNBA had scheduled themselves into irrelevancy.

      Wrong. Angel raising her hand saved the WNBA, before that moment, no one gave a hoot about women's basketball. Viewership and attendance immediately exploded and folks have been tuning in ever since.

  • @TTraveller3
    @TTraveller3 24 дня назад

    Delusional…. The WNBA HAS LOST ALMOST $$$HALF A BILLION SINCE INCEPTION…. The WNBA problem is simple…. Players actually believe they are as good as NBA players…. WNBA players try to play like NBA players. Players even try to talk and dress like the men - as is evident in this broadcast. Coaches try to coach the teams as if they are NBA teams. The women need to change the game and make it more exciting…. They already use a smaller ball and have a shorter three point link…. WNBA LOSE $10 million each year for a 6 month season…. Average crowd 7,000 and declining….. Adapt/modify and change or cease to be relevant!

      You do realize the NBA was in this same position at one time, and it took some special players to turn it around.
