That shows that the producers were trying to figure out as they go while staying on budget and controlling who knows what. This guy has patience and faith unlike some of us who would just stop trying after 5th or 10th time. It is a very cool concert and has lots of good and bad drivers with neat cars.
I think hyperdrive would be better with cars that were more designed for what the event is, watching the drag car not be able to do a handbrake turn was kinda pointless. A moderately powered crossover between a drift and autocross setup is probably ideal, having race cars that ideally would be built with this show in mind would show off what each person did to adjust their car for the crazy shit.
Skip any of the talking stuff and you'll enjoy it. They spend way too long trying to invest the audience into the characters of the show and it could easily be condensed down in to 10 minute episodes.
hmm, yeah i think they should let on people with expensive cars, but actually skilled drivers, like have a small course where they test them out, because the person in the hurcan had some balls, also why water??? all the rust and flodding, and netflix isnt paying for damges either, so just take out the water, and use a small mini course to see if drivers are qualified
Sounds like alot of hassle to go through to be on that show. Guess it takes a person at the right time in their life to take the time. I'm glad he did.

Hope you'll be reading these comments Fielding. I started binging the season because of this video. Loved your performance. Loved your car. Loved the show you gave us. Obviously, you were one of my favorites. There are so many interesting drivers in the show... Drift Sensei, The Sheriff, Diego, the Graffs and the Frenchman with the Charger. Didn't like: - The Huracan struggled to drift... It didn't belong in this competition. - I wish somebody else could drive that AMG GT.. I love the car and I wanted to see it compete. Totally left me blue balled. Screw that driver. - Water cannon obstacle... Totally unsafe

This guy has patience and faith unlike some of us who would just stop trying after 5th or 10th time. It is a very cool concert and has lots of good and bad drivers with neat cars.
At which point did he “scam” his way onto the show? Seems like total clickbait....
The squeaky wheel gets the grease. Cant knock a man hustling to earn his spot on the show, that he knew he deserved.
binged the whole thing today. Thank you!!
I just watched the series, it is awesome! But i wish the drivers were at least compensated if they damaged their cars.
Fielding Shredded at Hyperdrive. His flat out mentality was so risky but so entertaining
Fielding stole the show, he was having so much fun the whole time, what a treat to have him here!
You know I haven’t seen hyper drive but now I want to
Matt it’s the coolest thing ever you won’t regret it
Meh, it's kind of, ok...
It's pretty bad actually. I couldn't even finish the first episode.
Skip any of the talking stuff and you'll enjoy it. They spend way too long trying to invest the audience into the characters of the show and it could easily be condensed down in to 10 minute episodes.
I binged-watched that show about 6 times! Love it!!
Yeah next season focus on drifters, and drivers that can drive lol
hmm, yeah i think they should let on people with expensive cars, but actually skilled drivers, like have a small course where they test them out, because the person in the hurcan had some balls, also why water??? all the rust and flodding, and netflix isnt paying for damges either, so just take out the water, and use a small mini course to see if drivers are qualified
I was rooting for Fielding & Axel the whole time. But I’ll be damned if I don’t say that Diego Higa is a helluva driver & deserved that win
Sounds like alot of hassle to go through to be on that show. Guess it takes a person at the right time in their life to take the time. I'm glad he did.
I loved the show!
My top 3 where:
Taniguchi because drift sensey,
Then shredder because the spirit (I actually stoped watching the show that day because I got really sad when he crashed)
And lastly Francois he was really fun to watch :p
Make sure you watch until the end!
@@FieldingShredder I did it, and loved your comeback!!! :D
Hyperdrive stuntman: Only RWD cars are allowed, no AWD.
Omar: *|brings a Mercedes AMG GT|*
same as the labo hurracan i was like whjy is that car there
The AMG GT is RWD
Hope you'll be reading these comments Fielding. I started binging the season because of this video.
Loved your performance.
Loved your car.
Loved the show you gave us.
Obviously, you were one of my favorites.
There are so many interesting drivers in the show... Drift Sensei, The Sheriff, Diego, the Graffs and the Frenchman with the Charger.
Didn't like:
- The Huracan struggled to drift... It didn't belong in this competition.
- I wish somebody else could drive that AMG GT.. I love the car and I wanted to see it compete. Totally left me blue balled. Screw that driver.
- Water cannon obstacle... Totally unsafe
Thanks So much! It was definitely the biggest automotive challenge Ive faced in my career. I'm still competing in drifting here in Texas, so far it's been a great start.
really hoping for a season 2, but seems unlikely with the current formula. Fielding definitely was the best to watch and seeing him making it into the finals was mad considering how he damaged his car early on. But somehow I feel we're missing a lot of behind the scene stuff from Hyperdrive. Gotta say you make S14s look really cool in that show. 😂
The dedication this guy had was the reason why he was the best driver on the show, the rest of them seemed like posers
9:10 "I'm over here with my open trailer all proud." I'm weak.😂😂
If there were no AWD cars allowed, then why did the let the guy with a lambo participate? Sure he had a "switch" to make it RWD but still.
That dude probably bribed his way onto the show. Didn’t look like a real experienced driver either.
@@pokealex388 Yep, was just a rich kid with a prebuilt car.
Fielding made that show imo. Awesome to see him on good ol Vinwiki.
This guy and that asian guy with the Toyota were my favorites
the JZS171
Fielding was the true winner of the show. I'm glad they gave him a spotlight.
Now I have to go and watch the show again..
I’ve watched fielding drift at the lone star series multiple times. Dude can drift with style!
He was the most fun to watch and even with his reckless behavior he was one of the very best drivers on the show. The japanese guy was probably the best technical driver overall but shredder was fucking awesome
Fielding i just finish to watch the competition on netflix. You were amazing!! and i have to say i little bit crazy! awesome driving skill , awesome car preparation too, your car is bulletproof. pedal to the metal to the end and the car handle it !!!
This dude was lucky even though he crashed. My favorite driver because he drove an S14 Kouki which is my favorite JDM car.
There used to be a word for this. Persistence. That's how you get a job.
Love Fielding!!! What a great guy!
i sat on the east side of kodak park in a tree at like 3am in 2018 when the show was being filmed with my buddies it was so cool
Hey Fielding are you able to tell me the model of sparco suit your wearing on that photo at the20 second mark in this video? or does anyone know? what suit is that in the blue? thaks in advance. Loved your style in the series BTW
He was my favorite on the show. Great interview with him too
One of the reason Hyperdrive attracted me was because the first car did the race was you with the red hot S14, and the amazing drift skill, if it was the other car first, i might be losing a bit of interest to continue watching it.
As great as Fielding was to watch. Like someone else said, I want him to return as a host who does the course before the racers to show them whats happening. Throw in a more technical co-host and boom.
I thought it was kind of unfair that they let the Lamborghini have all wheel drive on his car and be able to switch it over to 2 wheel drive in the Lambo so I guess they were like cool somebody who's willing to fuck up their Lamborghini
It was, the stunt guy literally said no awd
Def was the favorite for me. Wish he won, made it entertaining!
