Part of the traction problem with the Venza is the tires it comes with. I checked on tire rack and they rated them as poor on all surfaces except dry roads. All of these car manufacturers put all of these safety features on their vehicles and then they put awful tires on them. Just unacceptable.

my 22 venza does better on fire roads in so calif than my 4runner in certain scenarios. Truth is it has 19" wheels with low grade all season tires and a short sidewall.
The suspension is slung for a grandpa cruising on a smooth paved road and not for speed offroad.
But it does well if one drives reasonably for the suspension's saggy capability.
At 75 hwy its just another 4 banger gas car, well maybe a little better.
Above 72ish? I mean drag is not linear to speed and an suv brick moving 85mph is still a drag laden brick no matter what brand or make it is.
Awesome review. I appeciate that you covered so much.
Was toying with the idea of a stiffer suspension a short 1-2" lift via spring level, some 17's with Wildpeak AT's. Oh wait, that's called a RAV4, right?
Well kinda, but a nicer one, I suppose. I think it would look nice tttt.
Love how cars can be modded. Our matchbox cars for grown boys.
