PA Deer Camp 2022 - Solo Time and Deer Camp bloopers
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 7 сен 2024
- Everyone left by Wednesday at noon, time to get my solo vibe working to see if I still could connect with a PA Whitetail. In case you want the full 8 day experience worth you can see that missing piece here.
Not as crazy as the normal PA Deer Camp, but really how could it be with just me here. It's just my normal time there, mellow and kicked back. But hey fill in the blanks from our time there.
Sill had some great food, though not as complex, you know I love the Pasta meals when I'm there and it's cold out. Just warms you up, and brings back some good memories when I was very young. Tried a new recipe this year; broccoli chicken cheddar soup that I cooked up with a little of this, a little of that. Kick it up a bit!
Enjoy it, and this year I put a few minutes of Deer Camp outtakes and bloopers at the end of the video, enjoy!

Another great video!
Glad you enjoyed it Steve!
Like number 661. That sphagetti looked so good. Beautiful area your hunting. Loved it my friend. Watching from Arkansas 👍🏻💛🙏🏻🦌🦌
Thanks Bill, will be heading back for this years version shortly. Another batch of spaghetti and some meatballs this trip. It really hits the spot after a day in the woods.
Your out takes made me roll😂
Good one
Thanks for the visit Steve, hope your winter is going well.
First time viewer, enjoyed it
👍👍
Thanks for stopping by Mike, most are like this. Just having a good time. Take care!
Great movie Love the original Manchurian Candate
Was pretty good, enjoyed it more than the new one.
Tom,I think you’ve gone off the deep end with the sage😂
Trying anything I can, sounded like a good idea.
Thank you for another great video. Cheers, Steve
Glad you enjoyed it Steve!
Great video Tom, thanks for sharing. Love the Bloopers! Hope all is well.
Thanks Mike, all good was just up the cabin this week. New video coming out soon.
Old sage 😂 Hope you and a good year
Thanks Jeffery, quiet as always. Hope you had a good one also. BTW, was reaching deep for some kind of good luck.
Another great video! Joe Kidd and Don Stroud with the pistol. Good ol Lamar!
"Shut the window Lamarr", "that boy don't learn". Mr. Holland wants you around... it's the only reason I don't plug you right now!"
Thats some good livin right there!
Thank you very much, enjoyed the quiet time.
Great video.
Thank you very much!
Awesome video as usual
Thanks Jason, nice time after the guys left. More of the same quiet.
Lol the best blooper is when chairman sees there’s a car coming
Nerds!!!
👍
I enjoy your cabin trip videos. You might get me back out in the woods. If I can put down the fishing rod during that time of year. Your videos make time go quicker from back surgery and recovery time. THANKS Tony
Hello Tony, hope you're feeling better soon. Very relaxing up there, time kind of slows down a bit for me. I guess there are less modern distractions. Take care!!
My camp down At Raystown lake. Any time you want to do some lake fishing just text. Thanks again
Thanks Tony!
Another great video. Thanks to the shout out to the Veterans. We appreciate it.
Thanks Gary, and I truly mean it. Appreciate what you did, and our current Service men and women do for the country. Take care and Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and yours.
Good luck to you all next year. You're all due for a pensy bag. Have fun.
Thank you Peter, we have some things to do to make the property even better now that the logging is wrapped up. Should be interesting next year. Take care, and Happy New Year to you and yours.
@@whiterook85 same to you. Here's hoping you have a prosperous and wonderful new year.
Awesome video..
Bloopers were great!
Thank you so much 😁
Merry Christmas to you and your family!
Thank you very much Dee, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and yours. Take care!
Awesome videos! Regarding The Wire, it's a special show for me as my daughter went to grad school at Johns Hopkins so we visited her numerous times in B'More. I can recognize many of the (film) shooting locations .I've watched the entire series more than once.
Thanks Michael, we (my wife and I) both really enjoyed The Wire also. I'm sure I will be going through it again.
I know where you are coming from with the summer work. They always say lets do this next year but next year never comes, and I am doing it myself. ( really my wife and I ) She is always willing to help.
I guess it gives me something to do. I was rewarded this year with two successful hunts, so I am extremely happy about that. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and yours.
Suggestion, where that spring crosses the trail would get someone in to dig out a pond, that would bring in some animals.
Have thought about that in the past. Was thinking even putting in a small "kiddie" pool to hold the water. Something to think about. 🤔
@@whiterook85 that would work too , know someone who did just that and does enhance the wildlife, especially since the spring you have runs
the PA deer woods just seem fuller when you are in them Rook. thanks so much for the journey with you and the boys. and as a recent Cards fan convert.. I appreciate the smudging. God bless you and the family from down the road in Huntington. Thank you.
You bet PB, that really was the first time I saw that (smudging) got interested in trying it. Still have a few sticks left. Take care and Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and yours.
Thanks for the videos, unfortunately it reminds me of when I belonged to a hunting club in NY. I was one of the members that did all the work and many benefited.I hope your crew appreciates all you do,your amazing and keep it going ,God bless brother!!!
Thanks Neil, keeps me busy. Having a hand occasionally would help especially in 2023. Lots of things to make the property even better.
🎻
Some of the best and relaxing hunting videos ever. I like the laid back style hunting. Not all the running and gunning stuff NICELY DONE!🦌
Thank you sir, that's the way I do my videos. Too many yelling about this and that or some kind of over the top tempo stuff. People need a break from that, including me. Good luck, take care, and Happy New Year!
Great show my friend, got a doe but no buck yet,but muzzleloader season coming soon, take care
Good luck Doug!
@@whiterook85 thanks bud
Thanks Thomas for another great videos. Really enjoyed the outtakes.
Glad you like them, was wondering how folks would like them. A few Chairman 'gold' minutes in there.
Incredibly pair of deer hunting videos Thomas. I can’t thank you enough for the shout out and the addition to the blue pot cafe. Looks like the deer were around for you guys but the opportunity just didn’t arise. Congratulations on the bucks in Delaware and Carolina, both were stud deer. These videos are always bitter sweet. I look forward to them all year, but now I have to wait till next year to see the series again. I will surely be rewatching others from your playlist, and the other videos you put out until next year. I wish you all good fortune, and a happy new year. Eric is in my prayers, and I hope for a speedy recovery. Although he missed this year, next year will be so much more anticipated. I appreciate ya buddy and all the effort you put into these videos.
Hello Justin, was honored to do it, you put in a lot of time away from home so some guy in a cabin in the woods can make videos. As I said it in the video, it will be there for many, many years to come. Thank you on the bucks, was hoping for a shot at 3 for 3, but I am happy with the season. Great hunts in NC and DE, and will remember this season for a while. I checked in on Eric, seems like progress is slow, but steady. Take care, stay safe, and have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year with you, and yours. and the 28th Infantry Division!
@@whiterook85 hello Tom are you ready for turkey season I seen a lot of birds this fall and winter good sign for spring good luck to you
@@davidhoward2214 I'm just about there, not too many birds in PA, but our spot in DE is loaded with them.
@@whiterook85 old Kentucky turkeys have declined in my area but have seen a lot more this fall and last spring in the last 3 years hopefully be a good turn around good luck this spring
@@davidhoward2214 Hopefully one will answer your calls and come on in for you.
My husband and I love your videos. My husband was wondering what a good entree level cigar would be?
Try a Macanudo "Inspirado White" should be something he should enjoy without being overwhelming. A good Connecticut wrapper is normally a milder cigar. And when he has it, have him do nothing but sit there and enjoy. Maybe a good coffee to go with it works to. Too many guys try to cut the lawn, or golf etc, that leads to inhaling the smoke (which you don't do), and leads to that uneasy feeling. Hope that helps.
@@whiterook85 thanks for the response. We look forward to more of your videos.
Thank you, glad to help. Booked a half day fishing trip out of Lewes DE for a half days fishing on a charter boat, video to follow if everything works out.
Another great season and video…thank you!
Thank you too Ron for stopping by.
That meat sauce looked tremendous. Nice video thanks for sharing
Thank you Eric, nice comfort food after a few hours in the woods.
I always enjoy the solo time when I'm back at the farm and the bro is away. Great for reflection. A small steel culvert buried under the road where the spring creek is would work well. The stand looks great and with a few small tweaks you will enjoy it for many years to come. That chicken soup plate looked wonderful. Out takes were fun to watch. There would be a lot more bloopers if I was filming. lol Once that camera starts rolling sometimes your brain just freezes. I remember filming our hunts years back and I had lots of editing to do. But I still have them all and they have become a treasure. Hard to believe it's all over for another year. Here's to wishing you all a Merry Christmas and Happy New year and until next time RITP's !!
Yes that was nice to have it after the guys were gone. You kind of get use to the silence and come to enjoy it also. I think a couple of them still have to learn that. Small tweaks about sums it up Ian, nothing major; indoor/outdoor carpeting, lowering that front window a bit, get a good office chair in there, camo, etc. Oh yeah I set things up then sometimes lose focus on what I was doing. It happens, and funny to look back and laugh at them. Another year, but looking forward to 2023, have some plans I'll outline in the Firepit chat. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and yours, and oh yes,, RITPs!!
People that don't film themselves will never know the real struggle. Once I had a fly land on the lens and walk across. I hope this gives some of your viewers a new appreciation for how much you put into these videos!
You said it Andrew, but worth it in the end. Had the fly on the mike one time, a few guys thought it was a giant gasser. It happens! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and yours!
Just getting to this video. I am still living vicariously through your hunts in the Pa woods. Miss all my boys and the times we used to have on our Pa hunts in Snyder County. Maybe when I am all done with my overseas adventures I can come up the road from Wilmington NC to that outfitter you go to and hunt a couple of days when you are there and get to say hi. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Hello Fred, hope you enjoyed the videos. Had a great time with the guys even though we didn't score. There is promise there for next year and years to come. I'm heading back to NC again in 2023, and will most likely keep going because they treat you right. Take care, be safe and have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
You have been smudging for years with the cigars. Great time solo. Nice time to just reflect and remember all the great time. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
Thanks Reed, was pretty calm there after the storm left. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and yours!
Just dropping a quick note. I see the video just posted and this will give me something to look forward to watching in the morning at work. Thanks Rook for posting and I look forward to watching
Hope you enjoy!
Fantastic part 2 buddy. You always know how to capture the moment and feelings of the season. I am sure you enjoyed the quiet time and reflection On another season gone.
That pasta looked tasty.
Regards
Mark
Thanks Mark, my formula for the videos. Adding a little more in the post production to get them just right. Pasta was good, just reminds me of times long ago with the family, it is real comfort food for me. Next year... see you in NC !!!
Take care, and Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and yours.
New subscriber. Love the 2022 deer camp vid. I will search your vida but it would be great to see a video that walks through your camp set up. Electric, heat, etc. thanks!!
Thanks for the sub Karl. I need to do a new one in the future, but this one should get you started. Take care and Happy Holidays to you and yours! ruclips.net/video/qndHD1SejwY/видео.html
The outtakes!!! Love it!🤣🤣
Thanks, had some fun putting them together.
I look forward to the PA deer camp video every year. Loved the blooper part at the end!
Thanks Colin, good year even though we didn't score. Had some fun putting the bloopers together.
Tom, Thanks for the solo piece. The outtakes were a nice touch. Hopefully the guys can get together and get some food plots planted and take advantage of the logging job.
I hope so too Corry, there's a blank slate there where we can fill it in with some food plots and attract and hold some deer. Had a few laughs at the bloopers myself.
Joe Kidd with Clint Eastwood
Was an easy one, but next year be ready!
Great footage as always Rook! Thanks again for showing us always enjoy your videos.
My pleasure Brian! Like said in the video thanks for coming along and keeping me company. Take care!
@whiterook85 anytime you and the crew have a wonderful holiday season!
Nice video brother. Property looks great! And looking forward to seeing it improve. Blind also looks great! Thanks for sharing your adventures with all of us! Gob bless friends..
Thank you very much, look forward to the Spring and Summer to see what happens there. I have some finishing work to do on the blind and get some food plots in. More adventures to come! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you both!
Y’all got a nice cabin I believe I get me a gas stove too cook on
We are a little tight on space. The camp stove works pretty well for what we do up there.
thank you again for a great video to remind me how great camp life is in North Central PA! Our camp is close to the Turkey Ranch so we're not too far away from your Happy place! I always enjoy your videos, thank you for posting!
Thanks Pete, go past the Turkey Ranch on the way. I may have to get that in a video in the future.
I'm so surprised the deer are not running through. We camped near the PA Grand Canyon this fall and the deer were everywhere, including bedding down on the campground lawn. Love the outtakes.
Kind of thought that myself, saw plenty of deer all year. We really didn't disturb the woods enough to make them vanish. Thanks on the outtakes, thought you might get a laugh or two.
your videos are so laid back, Love them !!
I appreciate that Ike! No need to be another high energy person yelling about this and that. Found people just want to relax, same with me.
Rook - thank you for the video and in particular the outtakes and humor. Great stuff as always. Hope you enjoyed the solo time and I look forward to seeing the next trip up to PA and the plans for any mods or tweaks to the property.
Thanks Thomas, good time in both camps, had some fun with the bloopers too. Hopefully the guys will want to do a few things to help the property improve. I have some plans, will most likely outline them in the Firepit chat in about a month or so.
Love when you add the blooper video! You’re videos are awesome, but it just doesn’t Nd with a giggle! Merry Christmas and happy new year to camp go time and your families!
Thanks Sam, thought I had enough footage to add a few bloopers in this year. I may have to make that a yearly thing in my Solo part. Had a few laughs getting it together also. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and yours.
Tom Glad all of you enjoyed the camp. Your enclosed stand is nice.We also had a great time at our camp. Also no luck but learned alot for next year.Merry Christmas to the Go Time Camp.Your friends from the Three Brothers Camp.
Thanks Bob, this was a good learning year for the guys, hopefully it will extend into next year. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and the guys at Three Brothers Camp!
awesome camp, love the camo pattern on your jacket, loved the bloopers that was great !
Thanks Jimmy, that pattern is Truetimber Strata. same camo thats on the the Winchesters.
I really enjoy your videos, especially the North Carolina ones because I live in NC, none of these videos are over the top like most people on youtube. keep up the good work!!
Glad you like them Jake, I try not to be an in your face person. A lot of that these days, need a little balance sometimes. Take care and Happy Holidays to you and yours!
Mr. Rook you deserve to treat yourself to a side by side.
Like to have one, but don't want to have to trailer it 650 miles on each trip.
Good video Tom,,,, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you and your family !!!!
Same to you! Hope for a great 2023 for everyone.
The end of 2022 Deer Camp came so fast! Enjoyed every minute 🍺👍!!
Glad you enjoyed it, more to come in 2023. Hoping a year of no dozer in the woods will help settle things down, get some underbrush starting to grow up. New food plots, etc.
Love all the vids. I was reading today that a lot of PA Legislatures want opening day moved back to Monday after Thanksgiving. They claim it was a 3 year trial to see if there were any benefits of changing, and they found that it only had negative impacts. A lot of hunters in PA go to camps and Saturday opener destroyed that
Thanks John, the Chairman sent me an articular voicing the same opinion. It really did take the 'Camp' out of Deer Camp. We will see what the future brings. Happy Holidays to you and yours.
@@whiterook85 Happy Holidays
Found your channel last year, another great video. Thanks for taking us along again. Looking forward to next year already, should be a lot better for you guys after things settle down. Merry Christmas.
Thanks for the return visit, the logging ended a little late, but glad it's completed. Take care and Happy holidays to you and yours. 🎄
Another great video!! Really enjoy watching your video's!!
Thanks so much Fred, quiet time there. Was a good end to the trip.
I've been watching your videos the last few years and have always wondered how many beds that hunting cabin has
We have 5 in there, 3 singles and a bunk. A little crowded when we are all there, but fun too. I think next year I will have to do a tour for the new folks, maybe the Spring Trip. or one of my solo trips. Take care Chad, thanks for watching!
Hey Tom, Thanks for this solo video. Spending time with the group is fun but the solo time adds a whole other element to the time in the woods. It’s Spiritual for me and I’m guessing that it may be similar for you. It’s great reflection time. Merry Christmas and stay safe!
Steve you couldn't be more correct, especially this year because the guys left and I had some time to reflect and recharge. The other years I had that then the craziness ensued and I wasn't quite ready for it. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and yours!
Thank you Tom for all you do. I really enjoyed the camp videos this season. God Bless and Happy Holidays. 👍🇺🇸
Same to you Chad, glad you enjoyed. Hope it made the work day go by a little quicker.
Good video! We still have 2 weeks left, down to the wire for us too.Joe Kidd! Always looking forward to your videos!
Good luck on the last 2 weeks, one may be behind the next tree. Correct on the guess, was a kind of laid back movie, went with the stay.
Another great video Tom! Merry Christmas to you and Mrs. Rook.
Thanks, you too! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and yours.
Great video as always Tom, loved the smudging--very interesting. Have a peaceful and relaxing holiday season.
Thanks Jeff, saw that smudging and got interested in trying it. First time, so I hope I did it correctly. Happy Holidays and Happy New Year to you and yours!
Awesome stuff guys, Happy Holidays!!
Happy holidays to you and yours also!
Always enjoy your videos, I am a PA hunter and look forward to our hunting camp for archery and rifle .Wishing you happy holidays.
Thank you Richard, good time with the guys, then enjoyed the quiet time there alone. Happy Holidays and Happy New Year to you and yours.
Tom thanks again.
May i suggest that you and your hunting partners get into flintlock and or crossbow hunting. Both will allow u guys to start your seasons early and extend it through the middle January . It will also allow you to utilize that beautiful camp a lot more often.
Big Bob. The former pa hunter.
It's a little harder for me to get up there for some of the other seasons. I really need someone to be around if I got one. DE has just about a full season of hunting in January if I wanted. After this year I think I'll just enjoy the Holiday season and make some plans for 2023.
I always look forward to your videos Rook! Was really pulling for you to get a Pa buck to make it 3 for 3. They are in there and are only going to be bigger next year. The blooper outtake had me cracking up lol,it just shows how much you really put into these videos, and I thank you for all that you do to bring us into your camp. Merry Christmas and Happy New year to you and the guys and all of your families!
Thanks Andrew, you can ask the Mrs. how long I'm in my office working on them.. Was hoping for 3 for 3 also, but there is always next year. I was very, very happy with this year. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and yours.
Joe Kidd great western 👌
Slam dunk George, enjoyed it.
It's all about having fun with friends and family . A nother deer season come and gone
And another to plan for, bring on 2023. Hope to get some things done up there in the Spring to make it a November to remember. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and yours!
Hi Mr. and Mrs. Whiterook. Hope all is well and thank you for another great video. The movie was Joe Kidd. Love Clients spaghetti westerns. My Uncle Wally server in the 28th in WWII. Landed 3 days after D-Day, and walked to Paris and then into the Ardennes forest where the 28th was sent for rest and getting ready for Christmas. They were over run by German SS troops with 1st Panzer Division. He was missing in action for a few weeks. A farming family keep him and 4 of his buddies under cover for that time until Patton came to save the 101st Airborne who replaced the 28th to defend the Ardennes forest, and end the Germany advance. If he was still here he would thank you for the honor on your wall. Happy Holidays to you and your family and a Happy, Healthy, and Safe New Year.
Thank you Wayne for the story about your Uncle Wally. They certainly had a rough go of it. If you are on Twitter, WWII Pictures @WWIIpix does a Battle of the Bulge realtime feature at this time of the year. Very interesting to follow. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you and yours! Oh and on the money with the movie. Figured I owed everyone a easy one.
Seems to me that some of the negative energy left the camp shortly before you cleansed it. If that makes any sense to you. Good stuff. Property looks good. Maybe next year. thanks for sharing
True words Mister P, true words!
Curious to hear your thoughts about The Wire. I would like to recommend Longmire, it's on Netflix. I think you would enjoy it.
Hello Harvey, enjoying the Wire so far. Brutal on both sides of the law. I would recommend checking it out. All the guys at the cabin said it was good. I'm only on episode 7 of the first season, so I'm really only scratching the surface. I've seen some clips for Longmire, thanks!
Great Job On The Video Thomas It was Great Seeing Ya All This Hunting Season -1 Wishing Him A Speedy Recovery Medical Man and Yes Where We Hunt Bradford County Pennsylvania we Just Had Logging Done and Not seeing the Deer we Once did but in thee up Coming Years it will pay Off. With your plans for food plots will pay dividends in the future for Sure Thanks for Sharing Your Hunting Season With Us All Blessings To You and Your Family and Stay Safe Y'all ✌️
Thanks Leon, we are hoping that the logging, some additional food plots brings them in and they stay. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

@@whiterook85 I knew i had seen that gun before it was Joe Kidd or Big Jake
Hey Rook, Check out movie “Enemy at the gates” military movie sniper vs sniper. Pretty good from early 2000.
Oh yeah, that one is up there. Shawn really liked it also.
Aren't you worried about the sage stinking up your hunting clothes that were hanging in the cabin?
No, that was a fairly natural smell. One reason I did it during the off hours. Plus opening the doors and windows let a lot of it right out.
@@whiterook85 Good to know, thanks!

Tom I enjoy watching your videos! I live in Delaware and would like some advice on where to Hunt.
Hi, what County are you in. If New Castle you have to make your way down to Kent. If in Kent or Sussex, check out Redden State Forest area. A lot of nice public land deer get pulled out of there each year. A lot of folks in DE join clubs to lease property also.
@@whiterook85 Thank You Very much for the Advice! I live in Sussex county. Happy Holidays and keep Filming!!
Where's the fire check coming up
Few weeks or so, was waiting to see if we could get some snow as a the background.
I loved the part where you burned the sage.
Thank you, I tried to do it as well as I could since it was the first time for me.
Do you guys muzzleloader hunt in pa
No, don't think the guys are interested. Shawn and I do in DE, but that is modern muzzle-loader.
@@whiterook85 I think in pa it's flintlock only anyhow
Why don't you use a wood burning stove
We use it, the gas is just a quick convenience, plus that's what we use at night. With the thermostat it holds the cabin at just the right temp.
@@whiterook85 I had to ask
You look a little brushy😅😮
Always after 10 days.
