She has such a rich voice, I am amazed that the music industry passed her by. I have two of her albums and cannot understand why she is not up there with the best of them!

One of my favorite country songs of all time.... I've listened to this a million times. How Bobbie Cryner didn't become a household name, I will never know. Have both of her amazing albums.

This woman is more country than anything I've heard on country radio. Not only that, this song from 1996 still sounds fresh & new. Taylor Swift is a good girl, talented too, great voice. Obviously successful. But, she is no Bobbie Cryner if ask for a down to earth real country singer in the tradition of Patsy Cline, Loretta Lynn or the edgier Jesse Colter. This song, for the ears of someone who is not a big country music fan, is unbelieavably beautiful & listenable. Bobbie's voice is a thrill.

How this lady never made it REALLY big is always a HUGE mystery to me, A truely great writer of wonderful melodys and sentimental evoking lyrics. She made two extremely well produced albums in the mid 90s (especially" Girl of your Dreams".) and then promptly disappeared!, (disallusioned?) I'll never understand this dam music industry till the day I die!.

I just love her voice . Picked up a compilation cd year ago at a used music store and fell in love with her voice and promptly went out and bought her 2 cds - cannot believe that is all there are . Her voice is so good - classic country . So many talented female country artists from the 90's - Joy Lynne White also comes to mind as on who never got her due - so many others too - I prefer this music to the contemporary junk out there on the country stations today .

    Attention everyone:
I agree with you about not hearing this talented lady more often. It stinks.
You people can rightly blame the fake(mainstream) millennial country artists who with their rock, pop, dance, hip hop and maybe rap genres murdered country music tradition on music row. Music industry corporates also had a hand in this too. Any new artist who stands for country music tradition don't get a chance to have their music on radio eventhough they have the talent. It's mainly being sexy and looking good that's gets you in.

Great song. But by the lyrics of this song, I wouldn't want a woman who treats me like she treats her man. I wouldn't tolerate it. Neither did he. So she ditched her ass! I like the song though!

A sad but true song of which many couples undergo when they neglect communication in their relationships & marriages. Good love always goes bad in these circumstances. U people out there, communic8 with ur guy/gal. When u don't communic8, & assume they're telepathic, the other person gets worried bcoz u haven't spoken 4 so long, like in Billy Joel's TELL HER(HIM) ABOUT IT. Will shrugging ur shoulders & saying YOU THINK HE'D(SHE'D) KNOW ME BETTER will bring that special person back after they depart 2 be with somebody who actually DOES express appreciation 4 them? People who think like the broad in this song have only themselves 2 blame when this type of thing happens.

Good lyrics, I know these song's tell a story but in the story of this song, she pushed him into the arms of another woman, he's working all day to provide, he comes home after a long day and wants to communicate, but she would prefer to read, when she has had all day to do that, he is initiating intimacy and she turns her back on him, she criticises his clothes etc,, he tells her that she don't talk to him enough, hence shutting him out and choosing to read instead of communicating, complaining the tv is too loud, why stay in the same room then complain? not difficult to see why the man would choose another woman. It's not rocket science.
