Hello everyone! All the art supplies and things I used to make this video are listed in the description! Please check them out if you'd like! Have a great day! ~Kerrie
Thanks! Oil paint is definitely more expensive, but there are primary sets of gouache out there that are really reasonably priced. A primary set (probably around $20-40 depending on the brand) is really all you need to start out with, there are also some decently priced oil painting primary sets out there too. Hope you get to try them out sometime! :)
Merry (late) Christmas!!! I love this piece! It reminds me of Padme Amidala! 😍 Have you ever thought what would happen if you mix a little bit of the glitter into the paint? The idea crossed my mind when you showed the close ups of the glitter. I wonder if it would make the paint sparkle or if it would do the opposite and make the paint chunky looking and dull? And to answer your question about the art goals for 2018, I have a few, but they're gonna have to be put on hold till at least March-ish because by the end of January beginning of February I'm having a baby. Lol but my goals are to prep for my eventual Etsy shop where I will be selling crocheted goods i.e. hats, scarves, blankets, baby stuff, etc. And my other goal is to just get back to sketching again period. I've been on such an odd artistic block because of being pregnant, like it's not so much I can't think of anything to draw it's more like I have little energy to draw and that effects the outcome of the art for me... Anyway, I look forward to seeing more videos and what your art goals are for 2018, also looking forward to seeing what your new kitten looks like! Have a great holiday!
Kerrie - thanks - love your videos - question: in order to get the amazing vibrant, blue streaks/hair going across the prussian blue background - do you just use cobalt turqoise gouache or do you mix on of your blue gouaches with your permanent white - I heard that permanent white is very opaque - and I am trying to decide what gouache set I can afford ;) that does lights over darks well
This is great! It came out amazing :) the glitter surprised me, eventhough you warned us that a lot came out haha. I know you've been back for a while now, but I just wanted to say again how happy I am that I get to enjoy your videos again!
This is probably the last Christmas my parents are still together, as I'm going to come out early next year as transgender, and my dad is kinda very much transphobic. My mom said she'll choose me over him. So this year is kind of a sad one, but hey, at least it's the last Christmas I have to spend with people thinking I'm a girl.
The Audacity Animations I’ve never really understood all the trans hate. Being of a different gender doesn’t make you any less of a being. I wish you the best of luck and a very happy new year!
this piece was so gorgeous!!!!! I love the colours my art goals for 2018 is to draw something everyday and do at at least 2-3 large scale illustrious (and by large scale i mean a full a4 sized coloured piece)
Thank you!!! Ohh drawing something everyday is always on my list of things to do in the new year... but I always end up failing. D: I'll try harder this year. You're goals sound really great, good luck on them! :)
