This was written by the legendary Willie Nelson, and it’s definitely Country! I don’t think she was blaming herself for him leaving, she’s blaming herself for ever believing he’d stay in the first place - she was “Crazy” for letting herself believe in him.
I’ve been curious about rye for a while so it’s cool to see your thoughts on this one.

In the clips of the black & white TV show on which she's performing, Patsy has a headband across her forehead with some hair held underneath it. That's because she had been in a very serious car crash a few months before this appearance, and the large scar on her forehead had to be covered up / disguised. She'd been in a car that was hit head-on by another car that was on the wrong side of the road, and at the time there was no safety equipment of any kind in vehicles. So accident victims like Patsy were thrown onto the all-metal dashboard and then often into or sometimes through the windshield. Flesh would be ripped or sliced open.

I used to spend a lot of times in various clubs around Nashville that had live bands and nearly every female singer who performed would sing Patsy Cline's "Crazy". I heard it so much that I went a little crazy myself and when I heard those first few notes on my radio, I would make a dive to get to it and either turn it off or change stations. Unfortunately, even after all these years, I STILL cannot stand to hear "Crazy". The Patsy Cline songs that I LOVE are "Walking After Midnight" and "I Fall to Pieces". Most definitely country. The further you go back into country artists, the genre seems to cross into different genres but back then, there was no such thing as crossover. You were country or you weren't. I think it would be great to have you guys do country by the decade. Starting with the 40's. There are country songs before that but from what my grandpa told me is this is when country music really started to gain more listeners. To see you all's reaction to country from then through now, would be amazing! It has changed a lot since then. I am so glad you got to Patsy. Patsy was one of the greatest ever. Was lost too soon. If you want great guitar, check out Roy Clark, or Zac Brown Band cover of Devil went down to Georgia

This was written by Willie Nelson. I heard him say her version of this song made him so proud. Patsy was one of the first women to headline Vegas. She was full of piss and vinegar. She didn't open doors for future female country singers. She completely kicked the door down and ripped it off of the hinges. Gone entirely too soon

If she had lived she would have had many more hits .. so sad she passed away in a plane crash.. she really helped Loretta Lynn when Loretta first came out and they became best friends .. Loretta was devastated when Patsy died .. everyone was because it was unexpected and shocking ..

Of course the first thing I notice is the Elkhart Lake sweatshirt. Not far from my neck of the woods in WI. This song is a classic also.

From my understanding almost every singer of her era absolutely loved her in the country community. She tragically died in a plane crash far too soon when she was young.

Oh yeah it's country. Patsy was the queen of country music. It's weird because yesterday I was thinking you needed to hear her voice.
The movie "Sweet Dreams" with Jessica Lange and Ed Harris is about her life.

She sang at the grand ole opry. It’s country. You probably heard this from the movie coal miners daughter when sissy spacek sang it. She played the role of Loretta Lynn. It’s one helluva movie True story the movie is.
