      @@josejpl1 The ironic thing is that, nowadays, such mentality in women is even more striking, since so many women have careers like Meadow, and since mens' sallaries are usually too low to support the entire family. Few men are as wealthy as Tony Soprano, yet so many women are still like Carmella. Both Carmella and my mother (maybe yours too), come from old-fashioned cultures, where being a wealthy housewife was the archetype of a successful woman, but those times are over. I remember even stories from my mother, about some Ucranian golddigger, who managed to manipulate a wealthy Italian man into marriage and sharing his money with her. She portrayed that golddigger literally as a heroine and she whined about why she was not as lucky too. Now I see how pathetic and sad in my opinion it all is.

      i honestly think finn proposed to her out of sheer stress, tiredness and downright wanting to end the argument, like kino said, they were up ALL night arguing imagine having a long conversation not only at night but an argument that is pretty much probably just going in circles bickering and arguing over the same menial points. you are tired hungry sleepy annoyed anxious and stressed, i feel he was just like fuck she isnt gonna stop im not gonna stop let me just end any and all possible arguments about this and get married it shuts us both up and we get some semblance of happiness

    For me, it's one of the funniest episodes. I burst out laughing at so many points of so many characters' reactions. For example, when Paulie realized that Finn is dating Meadow, he goes over to him and stucks a couple of bills in his pocket like he is his son 😂 Carmela crying because of mixed emotions at the end and she looks at Tony who's just splashing water on his stomach 😂 Tony saying that it's like taking a shit at Melfi's office, and of course who can forget "Peeps" on the headstone 😂😂

  • @eviola11

    Stop saying "she's not going to work" or "she doesn't want to work" .. It has nothing to do with that. First off, being a mother is work, you're just not renting yourself to a corporation or owner. Second, it's not that she doesn't want to work, it's that she doesn't want to lose the luxurious life she is accustomed to.

    • @Ck-gx1oi
      @Ck-gx1oi 3 года назад

      Dude she had a maid, she was even too lazy to be a stay at home mom. Carmela is extremely lazy and entitled. Not only that, but she constantly preaches about being a “good Christian” but knows, and has even acknowledged Tony committing murder, ruining innocent peoples lives, etc. Carmela has very few, if any, redeeming qualities.

    • @eviola11
      @eviola11 3 года назад +1

      @@Ck-gx1oi Agree on your second point. Having a maid for their teenage years doesn't mean she did no mothering, raising the kids, running a home etc. But the idea that if she worked a job renting herself to a corporation she'd be able to sustain the luxurious life she has now is insane which is what this guy implies every time he says "she doesn't want to work". I can hear the Ben Shapiro talking points behind this guys analyses of these episodes.

That’s a *lot* to take place between a murder and a funeral. 🤔
