I recommend you to listen to their 4 masterpieces in chronological order...
So you did Dark Side, next, in order:
    - Wish You Were Here
    - Animals
    - The Wall
I be you'll enjoy your journey: they are all classics.

I'm a 67 year old guitarist who's biggest inspiration came from David Gilmour, more than all the other great Classic Rock guitarists from the 60s and 70s. Hendrix, Clapton, Page, Beck, West, Santana, to name a few. The emotion and feel in his soloing is what really amazed me, Gilmour know
Actually, Pink Floyd started out as a Blues based Rock band, just like virtually every other Rock & Roll band to come out of England in the 1960s. Infact, Syd Barrett, one of the 4 co-founders of Pink Floyd, took their band name from two old time American Blues guitarists from the mid 1900s, they were,......
PINK Anderson, (1906-1974), and FLOYD Council, (1911-1976)

The first half of the album represents a life cycle, while the second half touches on the pressures of life... greed, war/poverty/classism, free will of choice vs fate, mental illness, with Eclipse being the culmination of all of it.

Great reaction, man! Especially for your first time. The beginning of Time has both the heartbeat from the kick drum, and muted bass strings as a metronome to keep time. The "metronome" is what you thought the heartbeat was.

Congratulations: you've just experienced the best album in Space Time...
You might still listen to great and genius music in the future... But you'll never have the same full trip experience than with this album...

I had plenty of life experiences on albums after this. Better too.

@@DerekDerekDerekDerekDerekDerek I have plenty of experiences on some albums too, but never match the 4 "golden arc"... Dream Theater: Scenes from a Memory is great, No FX's The Decline, Refused: The Shape Of Punk To Come, to name a few. But there's not a lot of concept album anyway...
What I find funny with people like you is you pretend, you blabla, but you NEVER give one example...

You seem to love all the things I love, watching this just after I've finished binging your Babylon 5 reactions. Dark Side of the Moon is one of my in car CDs so I listen to it all the time but it never gets old.

Brain Damage is referencing Syd Barrett the founder of the band who went crazy exacerbated by the use of LSD. When he was going crazy he would play a different song than the other band members on stage. "When the band you're in starts playing different tunes/ I'll see you on the dark side of the moon."

This will still be listened to in millenia to come. Should be our broadcast to the universe to explain what it is to be human.

First music reaction? You really swung for the fences by doing DSOTM. So many things can be said about this album, but I'll choose just one. Alan Parsons engineered this album and to this day it is still considered the apex of the art.

Didn't expect this, but it was very welcome. Another iconic album with no bad songs is the Velvet Underground's 'Loaded'.

I'm old enough to buy this back in the day! The real trick is to sync it with the OG Wizard of Oz movie. Or if you can't be arsed plenty of people have done the work for you on Tube.😮 also you have the advantage of decent headphones. No one pretty much got that studio experience until years later.
And as for my 9th edit you totally need to react to the movie 'the wall' or just chill to crystal voyager, someone just doing a legendary Surfing run to Floyd.

A nice bridge between film/TV reactions and album ones might be Jeff Wayne's War of the Worlds, which is like a musical interpretation of the classic SF novel - some of the guitar work is almost comparable to Gilmour's, and you also get the story and the voice acting to react to

Us and Them is a beautiful song about serious topics: war, inequality, poverty.

Do yourself a favour and watch 'Comfortably Numb' - at the live Pulse concert. BEST guitar solo in history in my, and so many others, opinion.
(You can do this track as a one off before you listen to The Wall)👍

It's always a bit of a challenge for the viewer when watching a music reaction as severely edited this one. But we get it, you wanted to post the whole thing in one sitting and were probably a little nervous about copyright issues. I get it. But when you never stop talking more than 2 seconds through the whole thing, on top of all the editing, it just becomes bridge too far. It's almost disrespectful to the music. Especially music as vibey is Pink Floyd. You said it's your first time.... A word of advice. Less chit chat next time. Way less. Floyd fans know this music already. We've internalized it. We want you to hear it too. Something you can't really do if you never stop talking. This wasn't so much a reaction as a closed caption narration of every bloody moment. Appreciate the effort though. Glad vyou enjoyed it. But do better next time. Less is more when it comes to Pink Floyd.
That was a sax 🎷 btw. The great Dick Parry doing the honors. ✌️

But did you really listen "with hiccups" and never stop talking?
This is not "listening" ... and this is not my opinion, but a fact.
    Interrupted after 7 minutes ... vomiting 🤮
