i watched your video with your sister where you guys read The Princess Diaries and since then I've been binging your redathon vids and....... yup, i'm obsessed. i love the way you film and edit your videos and just everything about your videos is so captivating - not just your redathon ones, my god could you be more amazing? - and AHHH I can't stop watching!?! thank u for being amazing and making amazing videos. im obsessed and i will watch every single one of them probably more than twice. bye and tHANK YOU 🤩 you made my day!
I’m watching this is September 2020 and when you mentioned you were going to New York in April I was like lol no you won’t be! Hope you were able to get the money back for your flights
I have a throat infection so while I'm ravenous I can't swallow so I'm just sitting here, hungry, staring at food. Loved the reading vlog, as always! ❤️
The super sciencey part of Dark Matter was my least favourite bit too haha, though I am still struggling to decide how I felt about it overall. This was such a fun vlog; also I love how you edited the Cluedo cards! I'm absolutely amazed by how much you read for this readathon!
I am so impressed, i could have never done that 😂 especially with thrillers, I always need time after reading one to take it all in and process! Loved the editing on this too!
I read Dark Matter because of your Thrillerthon. I really enjoyed it!!! There was a point in that book that I almost stopped reading because I was so shockingly mad but I kept going and I’m so glad I did! Thank you! It was so much fun!
Ha yay I’m glad you like it! It’s definitely just cause I don’t have the attention span to film anything properly but I’m glad the effect works 😂 D&D was honestly hilarious! I’m not sure I still ever quite understand what I’m supposed to be doing other than drinking a lot of prosecco and shouting but I enjoy that part 🥂
Drinking By My Shelf if you like podcasts I would definitely recommend checking out some D&D ones! The Adventure Zone is my personal favorite. They don’t really stick to rules and it’s basically just one giant story
my friend finally convinced me to watch “to all the boys ps i still love you” today and i just finished it ab 2 hours ago and i’m still fuming bc peter is ridiculous and when she kissed john ambrose, i paused it and said “i hope this isn’t one of those things where she’s gonna kiss him and realize that she likes peter better (bc he’s the worst and john ambrose is adorable)” and then i unpaused it and that’s exactly what happened and i almost didn’t watch the last 10 minutes bc i was so mad bc i didn’t want her to end up with peter and i’m still not over it. i had to call my friend afterwards and yell at her (not rlly yell lol) for making me suffer through that ending. basically she should have stayed with john bc peter is trash
I'm impressed that you read 9 books in 9 days! Especially thrillers - I usually have to break thrillers up with other books otherwise they start to blend together, unless they are completely different topics.
You are killing it with these readathons and I’m here for it! also related to you saying it’s your first time leaving the house and it wasn’t worth it. Literally me all the time 😂
That was amazing. 9 books in 7 days! 😱 Fab. This has spurred me on to pick up some of the thrillers that have been on my tbr for ages, so good work 😁 Lovely & super fun as always! X
I'm so happy that I got convinced by your videos to join in the Thrillerathon cause even though I had to read the shitty Watching Edie, I got the amazing Dark Matter!!!
I always find it really difficult to get into reading thrillers, I tend to prefer the films. However, I’m now inspired and I definitely have to try one! I’m curious about wilder girls...
Thriller is currently my favourite genre, I read thrillers all week and I'm still not tired😂😂 Just started a SF book to give myself a break but I didn't hear about any of the titles you mentioned so whooop I must go back to thrillers now😂 This was so much fun!!!!
Would you do a video about thrillers vs. suspense? I never understand the difference and I like thrilling suspenseful books but not particularly mystery books.
Ooh that’s a hard distinction - I’ll have a think about it! I am doing a video v soon on the Book Break channel about all the different types of thriller so if you subscribe over there hopefully that one will be helpful!
Ohhh... “Emma” is already out in the UK? How cool! It doesn’t open in the US until March 10th. ❤️ “who doesn’t love a nice toasty bottom?” You two are adorable! Everyone should have sisters as sweet as you two
Wow! Nine books in nine days! I only got two books read. But my father-in-law has been very sick and passed away this week but there is still no way I would have got nine books read. I have read The Family Upstairs and just thought it was ok. I didn't really care that much for it. However, I loved The Silent Patient. But I didn't figure out the ending.
Have you read the dispatcher? I got it whenit was free on Audible and it's really interesting. Not thriller or anything but it's pretty cool adn it does seem kinda like a black mirror episode almost to me
How about that, I’m going to NYC in April! I’ll DM you on Instagram as I have NYC bookshop questions for ya! Because I’ve had a busy February I’ve made the month my thrillerathon, and will share what I’ve read at the end of the month. LOVED dark matter! Amazing book! Xxx
Discussing parallel universes: “I can disprove them because I just thought about them and they sounded dumb, so... that saves scientists a job.” That made me laugh so much 😂
Yes I noticed that. I enjoy any book that deals with "culty shit," and I enjoyed The Family Upstairs quite a bit, but I did feel his queerness was used to give his deviance a reason and I was not down with that!!! This was a GREAT vlog!!! Loved it!!!!!♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
I want to read wilder girls but I'm afraid it will be hard to fully understand it cause english is not my first language, do you think it will be easy for me?
excuse me ma'am how do you have time to read nine books in nine days WHILST having a full time job WHILST making booktube videos WHILST watching booktube WHILST having a social life WHILST making time to work out?????? what???? that much power should not exist in one body HONESTLY theres so many books here that i want to read SO badly like the test, the family upstairs etc I JUST NEED TO TALK TO U ABOUT ALL UR NON SPOILERY THOUGHTS bc gahhhh i wanna read them so bad
Hahaha I love you I’m not gonna lie I HAVE NO IDEA how I did this but I am very tired today And YES READ THE TEST it’s so weird I need more people to read it and talk to me about it
Congrats Emma after 9 books read, you deserve a week of laziness now (but we just know it's not gonna happen!!). I picked 4 books but i read them and since it's spread through multiple cards on the cluedo game, i can proudly say i made it!! Far from being as good as vlogging than you are, you can watch my video about this last Thriller-Athon: ruclips.net/video/TVuzhhLHkRg/видео.html Can't wait for the next one ;)
Nathalie Roth - Author & Blogger Oh I’ll watch tomorrow how exciting! And ha yeah you’re not wrong, I have BIG reading plans for this weekend which will be up in a video soon!
Honestly the second movie i found VERY problematic like him asking for the necklace back , and then lying to lara jean and STILL choosing to be there for his ex and that. Close . Eh
Yes I forgot to change the final title card from Day 8 to Day 9 yes I’m annoyed about it
Drinking By My Shelf I do this all the time don’t worry about it 😅
Girl, it is so impressive that you read this quickly and still have time to workout, cook, and shop. Goalzzzzz
And hang out with friends.
I’ve always been a quick reader which helps!
“I can disprove them because I thought about it and it sounds dumb”
😂😂
So science such clever
*spills Prosecco on book*
*wipes it off with a pillow*
Honestly relatable
RUclips recommendations are usually so shit and then all of a sudden I find little gems like your channel among them
Thank you so much!
Just casually cleaning up the prosecco with your sofa pillows 😂
😂 panic response!
Drinking By My Shelf aha books are more important 😆
What!! This video editing is KILLER!!! Love it.
i watched your video with your sister where you guys read The Princess Diaries and since then I've been binging your redathon vids and....... yup, i'm obsessed. i love the way you film and edit your videos and just everything about your videos is so captivating - not just your redathon ones, my god could you be more amazing? - and AHHH I can't stop watching!?!
thank u for being amazing and making amazing videos. im obsessed and i will watch every single one of them probably more than twice. bye and tHANK YOU 🤩 you made my day!
Thank you so much!!!
This was the most nerdy murder - the professor used a hardback to kill their victim in the study! Well done, Emma! :) Loved the vlog, as always.
I cannot believe you read 9 books, that is amazing!!! Loved seeing all the cards, it was so much fun!
I can’t believe I did that either hahah. Thanks so much for inviting me to do this! What a fab week
I wanna like your comment but it has 9 likes and it just fits :)
I’m watching this is September 2020 and when you mentioned you were going to New York in April I was like lol no you won’t be! Hope you were able to get the money back for your flights
😭😭😭 so sad
Well done you for not only reading 9 in 9 but also having the vlog up the next morning!
Thank you! Didn’t get a ton of sleep last night 😂
I have a throat infection so while I'm ravenous I can't swallow so I'm just sitting here, hungry, staring at food. Loved the reading vlog, as always! ❤️
Oh NO that is torture you poor thing! Sending you all the good get well soon vibes and hope you can eat a massive pizza soon
The super sciencey part of Dark Matter was my least favourite bit too haha, though I am still struggling to decide how I felt about it overall. This was such a fun vlog; also I love how you edited the Cluedo cards! I'm absolutely amazed by how much you read for this readathon!
I’m kind of amazed too haha I’ve never managed that before!
I am so impressed, i could have never done that 😂 especially with thrillers, I always need time after reading one to take it all in and process! Loved the editing on this too!
Ha yeah I definitely missed my processing time - hard to make sure they don't all blur into each other!
I read Dark Matter because of your Thrillerthon. I really enjoyed it!!! There was a point in that book that I almost stopped reading because I was so shockingly mad but I kept going and I’m so glad I did!
Thank you! It was so much fun!
Haha we had such a similar experience then!
"i can disprove them because I've thought about them and think they're dumb" 😂
NOTHING BUT THE TRUTH
Girl, you crushed this! 👏🏻 I love your readathon vlogs. Seriously, how do you do it?! 😳😂📚
How ironic she’s talking about a group of girls put under quarantine considering the circumstances
I honestly love how all your vlogs are full of super short snippets - it’s really engaging. Need to try this too 😅😅
I want to join D&D!!
Wow, you’re a reading machine! I’m glad that you had such a great week and yes, going outside is overrated 😂
my friend finally convinced me to watch “to all the boys ps i still love you” today and i just finished it ab 2 hours ago and i’m still fuming bc peter is ridiculous and when she kissed john ambrose, i paused it and said “i hope this isn’t one of those things where she’s gonna kiss him and realize that she likes peter better (bc he’s the worst and john ambrose is adorable)” and then i unpaused it and that’s exactly what happened and i almost didn’t watch the last 10 minutes bc i was so mad bc i didn’t want her to end up with peter and i’m still not over it. i had to call my friend afterwards and yell at her (not rlly yell lol) for making me suffer through that ending. basically she should have stayed with john bc peter is trash
Hard agree! And in the books John Ambrose is even MORE wonderful
ugh i have to read them. i’ve been told that the books make peter out to be a jerk and i already got that from the movies
This hits so much differently after lockdown 😂 "The outside is not really worth it."
haha how wrong I was!
I’m so glad you liked Dark Matter, one of my faves and I’m a sci-fi person!
I'm not gonna lie the spooky music you played in this video made me /tense/.
Haha I genuinely scared myself a bit when editing late at night
I absolutely loved The Test too! The audiobook is great if you ever fancy a reread! Amazing work on the readathon!
I'll definitely be rereading this one, I feel like there's so much more to pick up on!
I'm impressed that you read 9 books in 9 days! Especially thrillers - I usually have to break thrillers up with other books otherwise they start to blend together, unless they are completely different topics.
Confuzzled Bev I definitely did suffer a bit from the blurring together problem!
I freaking love the way you edited this! Awesome
You are killing it with these readathons and I’m here for it! also related to you saying it’s your first time leaving the house and it wasn’t worth it. Literally me all the time 😂
Hahaha let’s never leave
I discovered you yesterday... I thought readbyzoe had the best reading vlogs, but you’re a very close second! I’m binge-watching them 🙌🏻
I LOVE readbyzoe's vlogs so this is a great compliment!
Yes, here I am on my third hour of watching your channel. Definitely one of my new favorite booktubers 🤍
Yay welcome to the madness!
Yayy!!! Absolutely love your long reading vlogs! Also super excited for your collab with Kayla! :D
Me too I’m so excited for us to read together!
The ending was amazing, and you have thoroughly convinced me to pick up The Test. Keep it up, looking forward to more!
J Henry Yessss The Test is great I hope you love it!
You just progressively look more and more tired and I can relate to that honestly
How did I NOT hear about this readathon? This was amazing! I definitely want to participate next time!
It was so much fun - all thanks to the genius who is Harriet Rosie!
That was amazing. 9 books in 7 days! 😱 Fab.
This has spurred me on to pick up some of the thrillers that have been on my tbr for ages, so good work 😁
Lovely & super fun as always! X
Nine days! Otherwise that really would be superhuman 😂
@@DrinkingByMyShelf you can't say that when you read a whole series in 24h!! *That's* superhuman! 😁😁
Wooo this was an awesome vlog, Emma! Really really enjoyed it!
Thank you!
I'm bummed that I missed this readathon :( Just discovered your challenge. Hoping you guys do another Thrillerathon soon.
I loved The Test. I really need to read Dark Matter.
I’m now reading another book by Blake Crouch so he obviously won me over!
I'm so happy that I got convinced by your videos to join in the Thrillerathon cause even though I had to read the shitty Watching Edie, I got the amazing Dark Matter!!!
Autumn of Pellinor Yayyyyy so glad you joined!
Omg yes! I also get weirdly hungry when sick. You are the first other person to say that to me.
I always find it really difficult to get into reading thrillers, I tend to prefer the films. However, I’m now inspired and I definitely have to try one! I’m curious about wilder girls...
I’d be so interested to hear how you get on!
Oooooo Like a Black Mirror Episode?! YESSSSSSS. Downloading
It’s so dark Rachael!!! I LOVED it
Yes, really enjoyed The Silent Patient. My watch later list is such a mess.
Great video, now have so many new books to add to my list.
Sorry to your bank account!
Loved this vlog! You read so much! Btw, your old end screen music still starts playing in my head whenever your videos end. :D
Maija Reads hahah no way it’s been so long!!
I've enjoyed all the Lisa Jewell novels I've read so far (I think 3 or 4?). I have The Family Upstairs but haven't read it yet - can't wait!
I’m definitely going to go on a Lisa Jewell spree now
Greer Hendricks and Sarah P. are, like, my author dream team lol I loved the Wife Between Us
Thriller is currently my favourite genre, I read thrillers all week and I'm still not tired😂😂 Just started a SF book to give myself a break but I didn't hear about any of the titles you mentioned so whooop I must go back to thrillers now😂 This was so much fun!!!!
Marie Hahah yesss never too many thrillers
I like the video before watching it! I mean its Emma and its a thrillerathon what could possibly go wrong
Hahah high praise!
Would you do a video about thrillers vs. suspense? I never understand the difference and I like thrilling suspenseful books but not particularly mystery books.
Ooh that’s a hard distinction - I’ll have a think about it! I am doing a video v soon on the Book Break channel about all the different types of thriller so if you subscribe over there hopefully that one will be helpful!
interesting to see daffodils are blooming earlier everywhere and not just the southern U.S.!
RhouLikestoRead It’s wild!
Ohhh... “Emma” is already out in the UK? How cool! It doesn’t open in the US until March 10th. ❤️ “who doesn’t love a nice toasty bottom?” You two are adorable! Everyone should have sisters as sweet as you two
Aww that actually wasn’t my sister it was my lovely friend Fran but agreed she is adorable!
Drinking By My Shelf oh wow-the way you interact with her reminds me of how you interact with your sister on camera ❤️ did you like the novel “Emma”?
Heather Pressed Between the Pages I love that! She’s one of my best friends so that’s really sweet 😍 yes I LOVE Emma, one of my faves
Wow! Nine books in nine days! I only got two books read. But my father-in-law has been very sick and passed away this week but there is still no way I would have got nine books read. 23:25 yeah that’s why I don’t drink liquids when reading books cause that shit will happen
Drinking by My shelf: reading now books in 9 days......
Me: author writing for a year
You already have green grass and daffodils? I'm so sad. I still have snow up to my knees in my back yard. Just now starting to melt down a little bit.
I’m so jealous of your snow though! My favourite weather and we so rarely get any
@@DrinkingByMyShelf that's too bad. Come to Canada! You'll get your fill. Haha
Also, I wish I’d done this, the game going along with it sounds so fun!!
It was so fun to do! You could always do it yourself at your own pace and then just let us know who your answers were?!
Drinking By My Shelf that’s true! I might do that at some point!!
I also recently finished Wilder Girls and I think the ending was a bit of a let down! Felt a bit rushed and vague.
I definitely wasn't expecting it to end right there!
Same thoughts here. I read it back in maybe 2020 too, but that ending totally annoyed me 😭
I definitely recommend The Assistant by S.K Tremayne. It's such a good thriller with a scary premise.
Amber Lock ooh I’ll look it up
i remember reading wilder girls at the beginning of 2020, big mistake, huge
lol i really enjoyed it tho
Loved this video!
Thanks!
Agreed with your initial opinions on Dark Matter.
Aw that’s a shame it didn’t pick back up for you!
Xxx
Jaide Poppy You are?! Omg maybe we can see each other out there!
"a nice bit of bottom" 😂
kerry onmywaywardson 😂🍑
The family upstairs is my next read so when I saw “spoilers” on the screen I started panicking and shut down my RUclips tab 😂
hahah oh noooo come backkkk
Drinking By My Shelf haha I did just skipped it. Thankyou for the warning though!
17:34 Crying laughing at your boyfriend in bed being like ☹️ LET ME SLEEP 😂
Poor long suffering RG haha!
Can you do this with the Harry Potter series?
I'm not supporting JK Rowling anymore!
@@DrinkingByMyShelf Ohh why that?
Because she’s been extremely transphobic, sadly!
@@DrinkingByMyShelf Okay I respect your meaning, and I actual didn’t know about this so I’m a little shocked! But good video tho, love you content😁
Discussing parallel universes: “I can disprove them because I just thought about them and they sounded dumb, so... that saves scientists a job.” That made me laugh so much 😂
How the FAWK does she read so fast likeee
I agree
8:41 "Global warming!" hahaha
edit: I just realized it kinda sounds like I don't believe in it- I'm very adamant about it haha whoops
Brianna 😂
Yes I noticed that. I enjoy any book that deals with "culty shit," and I enjoyed The Family Upstairs quite a bit, but I did feel his queerness was used to give his deviance a reason and I was not down with that!!! This was a GREAT vlog!!! Loved it!!!!!♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Agreed! Just a bit uncomfortable especially as its so cliche. But I really enjoyed all the creepy culty stuff!
I want to read wilder girls but I'm afraid it will be hard to fully understand it cause english is not my first language, do you think it will be easy for me?
I don't think the language is particularly harder than other English language books, it's more just that it's a bit surreal!
I hope you read more Megan Abbott!
I'm definitely keen now! I want to read Dare Me next because of the TV show coming
Drinking By My Shelf WHAT
You should try drinking some tea when you are reading late at night that's what I do.
Reading that first book your voice was like nope
excuse me ma'am how do you have time to read nine books in nine days WHILST having a full time job WHILST making booktube videos WHILST watching booktube WHILST having a social life WHILST making time to work out?????? what???? that much power should not exist in one body

😍❣️
I want to be her best friend
Stefana Chira YOU CAN BE
Parallel universes aren’t dumb 🤔 vampires are dumb ( i mean dumb in relation to being real)
Ha yeah I have no understanding of science so I just can’t deal with it. (Not into vampires either!)
