    Her left hand is like swimming over the piano and the right hand is dancing. Just watch a bunch of her videos and you will see what I mean. Her style is very different and has recognition value. She is such an inspiration.

    Chopin is my all time favorite composer. The way you play him is truly breathtaking. And I don't think I've ever heard anyone play him as well as you do. Thank you, Valentina.

    After playing the piano for over 20 years, life sorta got in the way and I found myself not playing at all for many, many years. THIS is the piece that brought me back to the piano. I HAD to play this. I can feel this piece in my bones. Valentina, I love your interpretation.

    Honestly why is there always one sick guy in the audience at every piano recital? Is it the same guy going to every recital? I bet it is.

      They are often times coughing everywhere you meet them.

    I don't get how people call this the 'easiest nocturne'
    To play this dynamically 100% perfect is something barely the professionals can do

    • @harryandruschak2843

      Snobbery, most likely. Alas, the world of classical music is infested with snobs. You may or may not have noticed that this video already has two "dislikes"?
      Plus many snobs think "easy to play" is the same as "not worth listening to". Pathetically wrong, but that is their mindset.

    • @AxeActly
      @AxeActly 7 лет назад +11

      People don't understand that there is a difference between playing a piece and mastering it...
      And i'm also pretty sure half the people who call this piece easy can't even play it.

      Technically it’s very simple but dynamically it is one of the trickiest nocturnes out there. I have hardly scratched the surface of it.

    I am crying, Valentina, knowing that you played this in memory of a very close friend of yours who passed away. This piece is just so sad and I can clearly hear your sorrow through the piano. It reminds me of how everyone I love and can't imagine living without will one day inevitably leave me...
    Such is the sheer power of music

    I just listened to it, and it is absolutely beautiful! I was wondering, could you record some of Volodos's work? It would be amazing to hear you play his interpretation of Mozart's Turkish March. Anyway, as we say in Greece, Καλό Μήνα! This means 'Good Month'. Best of luck on future concerts! :)

Reverie and Clair de Lune are my two favorites with Arabesque No1 coming in close third. But, anything you play of his music or anyone else's I am very happy to listen to and you will not get any complaints from me!
