The Russos and RDJ are back for a fortune and now they HAVE to get Tom Holland, Chris Hemsworth, Benedict Cumberbatch, Hugh Jackman, Chris Pratt and possibly Ryan Reynolds to sign new contracts as well and those actors know what RDJ is getting paid. That's a billion dollars for two movies.
I don't know what the hell they're thinking: the main players for Infinity War/Endgame were set up throughout 3 main trilogies (Iron Man, Cap, Thor), two Avengers team-ups, two GotG outings, two Ant-Man solos, several meaty appearances for Spidey, Strange, BP and Black Widow, a handful of hints at Thanos (with a deeper layer of pre-characterization playing out in Nebula & Gamora's broken relationship) and the first Avengers' villains doing Thanos' bidding. But now they're rushing to the finish line with no concrete roster and no legwork in terms of characterization or endearment for all those non-entities (Shang Chi, Eternals, Captain Marvel, Shuri, She-Hulk, Soy Hulk, deconstructed Thor & Strange)?

For the deal they gave RDJ, the could have dressed him as Micky Mouse if they wanted. True, Marvsney stocks have dropped. True, they've blown off WAY more money than they've made. But apparently they're still sitting on one helluva Nest Egg. I don't think they're worried or concerned Captain Falcon, the Thunderbolts, Iron Heart, don't forget Sue Storm's FANTASTIC FOUR and her upcoming chick fight with Silver Surfette. They still haven't lost enough money. I'm damn sure saving mine.
I've had to say it so many times out loud: I grew up in the '80s reading Spider-Man, Iron Man, and the Fantastic Four. Most of my friends read X-Men. I was thrilled when Spidey finally made the big screens in 2002. I was hyped to the moon when the MCU and RDJ somehow made Iron Man a household name, and did it at a time when people were starting to question whether there were too many superhero films (people forget how long this has been going on). But the FF have never really had their day in the sun. The Tim Story movies were fluff with a LOT of problems, and were far more focused on the action than the high sci-fi elements that made that book so cool to me, and for some reason, put way too much attention on Johnny; the less said about that Josh Trank trash, the better. I want this film to be good, but from the moment they cast Pedo Pascal as Reed, I've been preparing myself for the worst. He's not at all a bad actor, but he's in everything lately, and we can all think of at least five other actors who fit our mental image of Reed far better than Pascal. Then, they cast RDJ as Doom, and God, I just can't. Even if it works in isolation, the fact that "isolation" doesn't really jive with a thing the MCU is about is already a bad sign. And they haven't done a single thing to prep the character or the world for his arrival. I'll probably see Thunderbolts, but the whole presence of Captain Communism up there doesn't exactly fill me with great hope. John Walker was the best thing about Falcon & The Winter Soldier, and I like Florence Pugh (just not so much as another Black Widow) and Sebastian Stan enough to chance it in the theater, but Cap 4? Yeah, nah. It would need to be the best film they've ever done for me to be into what they're doing with the mantle of Captain America, and all word of mouth is the polar opposite of that. Doesn't help I never liked the Red Hulk concept even in the comics. But the entire idea of superhero ideas as legacy mantles for anyone not named Robin isn't exactly my favorite thing. Create new characters.
I still cannot get on board with the Mandalorian as Reed Richards. I hope to be pleasantly surprised but at the moment I’m not buying it. I really hope the film is great!
If FF4 were to be R rated because the girl Silver Surfer body paint is too revealing or because VK's invisibility power gives us a "hero's always look" moment then yes I'll go see it. Otherwise I'll wait for your review before I plop down bucks for tickets and popcorn (must have popcorn). Everything else I have no interest in.

They've already ruined Doom by casting RDJ. Victor is really the only reason I enjoy th FF. Hes the GREATEST comic book villain of ALL TIME! RDJ is, and always will be Iron Man.

The only one I think is LONG overdue because he's by far the most complex and compelling Heavy in Marvel is how they play it for Doctor Doom (Kang? Really? Who ever gave a s*** about Kang?). Victor Von Doom somehow managed to be gothic, classic and currently relevant all at the same time. He punched way above his weight class until he evolved to BE the weight class. Hell, he not only inspired Darth Vader, he completely eclipsed him. Hopefully he's not turned into an endlessly quipping more polished Deadpool.

You can already tell with all the re shooting and poor test screening response Captain America is going to flop as well. If you fire activists and remove political ideology and quit swapping characters and remove girl boss characters or changing characters from the source material and keep the true to themselves people may actually be satisfied. LISTEN TO THE FANS. Talk to Ryan Reynolds. He knows how to make a script. Entertainment not messaging. He made you 1 billion dollars. Learn from your mistakes. Fire the activists and do it right for a change.

Do you really think they might be able to course correct? sounds doubtful but you never know … Little Platoon just made a great point in the video he just premiered. He said the amount of money being poured into so many of these shows and movies nowadays might be part of the problem in why they are written poorly. When there is a tight budget, they have to make every screen minute count, make it effective etc. With unlimited money, they seem to create a lot of scenes that don’t advance the plot, and have characters staring off into the distance for too long.
