I have no problem with FAA or other official entities tracking me. By making this information public to anyone with an app, they are NOT planning on protecting me as a remote pilot. And they feel that just educating people will protect me? This makes me angry. He says security has to be top priority. What about MY security and safety? Why does this information need to be PUBLIC??? FAA really needs to address this. There has to be away to make this information only available to authorities.
I have a major problem with this, it is a right to privacy violation and I believe it's unconstitutional. I also have a problem with the public broadcasting of this information. This should be encrypted information and not available to the public, I understand the federal government needing this information, the public doesn't need it. It's much like divulging the name of a criminal to a victim before a trial, it allows vigilante justice, that never ends well. People will be injured lawsuits will ensue this will be adjusted, adjust it now before that happens please, thanks.
Why do you need to broadcast controller location to the general public. I can understand it for police/fire fighter usage but no the “Karen” that hates quad copters.
Keith, I applaud you for having the vision of acquiring Kevin and the FAA on your show. I would love to see you get him back on at least a monthly, or weekly if possible, basis. Not only does it help to mend bridges between drone owners and the FAA through Kevin's demeanor, it appears that the FAA is going to educate the public better about drones, as well. Thanks again and I hope you continue having discourse with Kevin regularly.

Next time you get this amazing opportunity, please ask more difficult questions. Since terrorists who strap bombs to drones won't use Remote-ID, what risks are they worried about? Why is it illegal to fly FPV in my back yard beneath the tree canopy (and far away from neighbor's houses) without a spotter, since there is very little risk there? Shouldn't the new rules be risk based?
As in the previous video, Keven is great. He is not your typical bureaucrat and answered many of my questions that I had about Remote ID. Time will tell with the implementation of the program whether the concerns of those critical of Remote ID are justified. Thanks again for doing this.

Would the remote id module effect my drones flight characteristics, weighing just over the registration requirements?
