I once saw a wooden ironing board that was made for a patio for entertaining. They cut 3round holes on thin side of top and put terra cotta pots in the holes. They draped cute napkins in the pots and thats where they put utensils. On thicker side they had a charcuterie board and pretty paper napkins. It was so pretty and functional. I have never found a wood ironing board to make one. I think you couldnt make one in your own style with your talent.

That “Rawson & Brockway Furniture and Funeral Services” is probably older than you realize, Yvonne. Most old furniture makers (starting in the late 1800’s) also built the wooden boxes to bury people!! My family lived in a home in Ferndale, WA, built in 1889, by an old local furniture and funeral services business. It started with two brothers who built furniture but were also pressed into service to build funeral boxes AND perform funerals!!
We bought the house from a direct descendant of the brothers….and our local library had all of the history for us…
