I love watching videos like this because it encourages me to keep going. I’ve been doing RUclips for more than 3 years and am at 6k it could be very defeating when I look at the numbers and compare myself but I know I need to keep doing what I love. Thanks for the motivation and creating beautiful pieces of work and sharing your wisdom.
It’s hard to not compare ourselves, I do it more often than not, but please keep going 6k is really awesome and not a lot of people achieve that in 3 years so keep at it ❤️❤️
Hey, i usually don't really comment youtube videos often, but i think i want to write one now. I'm really glad that i found you, usually i sometimes saw you in my instagram reels, but also in my youtube feed and watched an youtube video from you. I also struggle often with anxiety and comparison, but also with depression. Sometimes i need to clean up my room, to get work done but its hard and it doesnt work really often and sometimes i do need a youtube video to play in the background , to motivate my ass to clean up my room and it often didn't work, but it worked with yours. Its just the super calming atmosphere in your videos and your voice, i dont know it affected me directly.I'm really into filming, art and photos (interested, but not well at it) and you really really do motivate me. Its really hard for me sometimes to be creative but when i see your work i'm just like I HAVE THE MOTIVATION, I WANT TO CREATE SOMETHING TOO and boom i even could clean up my room while your video was playing, i enjoy watching you so much and you are one of my favourite youtubers! I'm starting my own journey as well. I'm constantly uploading shorts now and will upload a long form content soon. This resonated with me very well. I need to put more of myself out there!
The hardest part I found is getting people to subscribe to a vlog channel, Its really hard to get noticed also. The issue is I want to make content I enjoy making not just make content for youtubes algorithm. Any tips I can learn off you will be a amazing.
I totally get you and i find it always so hard to differ them. One thing I've learnt is that, sometiems you have to do it for the algorithm as well to get yourself noticed. So think of it this way, you could do one video just for yourself, do whatever your heart tells u and you could do one just for the algorithm to get ur name and work noticed! After that, people would also start watching the videos you did just for yourself because I personally find those videos to be the best kind of videos and I feel like sooner or later people would see the heart and work put into those videos
i'm a creator who just started last week. saw some early traction, but that's plateau'd now. i am so inspired seeing - and being reminded - that we all come from somewhere. i started this channel as a way to find some form of fulfillment in things i love most - cooking and storytelling. every day - i ask myself: how do i feel turning a hobby into a job? what am i hoping to get out of this? part of that meaning is to show other people my thoughts and snippets and part of someone else's life that they normally would never see. that's what i'm hoping to achieve out of this. other days, i don't feel so inspired. i feel apathetic. and it hurts. but this pushes me to keep going. videos like these push me to keep going. it's a source of intrinsic motivation - sometimes all we want to do is sit back and watch what other people think about life. cheers - happy 2024!

In the sense that when u cook or bake, and tell YOUR story, peoeple are actually really willing to listen and to hear your story and what you have to say. They're super interested in other people's lives! Cuz thats just how humans work. So go for it !

I think my main issue is that I want to step in a specific niche that I can't fully invest myself in if I'm not already established. I want to move to Japan and I want to vlog there and do fun stuff but I'm just a regular Dutch guy with a shit 9-5. The content I make now feels more like a "chore" to get to where I really want to be. Great video though, definitely more realistic and grounded than most RUclips guru's with all the so-called "tips to find growth"
I think I kinda get where you’re coming from! It’s hard to leave something established behind and jump into the unknown! I feel like, for me, if it doesn’t scare me to do it, it’s not enough of a challenge, but ofc it always Depends on your situation personally, relationships, financial decisions, etc. maybe take small steps towards that goal? And try to dip your toes in!

A lot of my friends tell me I would make a good content creator but I’ve never been confident to post videos of me talking (I only send them to my close friends) about what I like to do (mostly photography and camera related things), maybe 2024 is the year for that
I have watched a few videos from you, but just now I subscribed. I love RUclips and Video editing as I can tell a story through images and take the viewer into the moment I was living. At least I try. RUclips is by far my favourite social media platform. I spend countless hours watching other creators because I see so many creative people out there. And that inspires me a lot. Still didn't find the motivation to film most of the days, as I feel like my life is not interesting when Im not travelling. Maybe one day, I can find the reasons to go for it and put all my effort into it, and hopefully, become an RUclipsr or Content Creator that people likes to watch. for over 10 years Ive had the dream of becoming some kind of youtuber. had so many ideas of what I wanted to do but I think Ive figured out what I want to create. Vlogs, My favorite genre on youtube that I looove to watch. I have a specific way of wanting to vlog and that Is when Im out with friends, try foods, travel, bmx/skateboard. I got almost everything from a camera to an editing software. All thats missing is a group of friends :). Getting into RUclips is harder than ever and at the same time easier than its ever been. The tools you need to create are "relativity" easy to get ahold of. Its that mental hurdle today that the hardest part.

I think my main issue is that I want to step in a specific niche that I can't fully invest myself in if I'm not already established. I want to move to Japan and I want to vlog there and do fun stuff but I'm just a regular Dutch guy with a shit 9-5. The content I make now feels more like a "chore" to get to where I really want to be.
Great video though, definitely more realistic and grounded than most RUclips guru's with all the so-called "tips to find growth"
I think I kinda get where you’re coming from! It’s hard to leave something established behind and jump into the unknown!
I feel like, for me, if it doesn’t scare me to do it, it’s not enough of a challenge, but ofc it always Depends on your situation personally, relationships, financial decisions, etc.
maybe take small steps towards that goal? And try to dip your toes in!

I have watched a few videos from you, but just now I subscribed. I love RUclips and Video editing as I can tell a story through images and take the viewer into the moment I was living. At least I try. RUclips is by far my favourite social media platform. I spend countless hours watching other creators because I see so many creative people out there. And that inspires me a lot.
Still didn't find the motivation to film most of the days, as I feel like my life is not interesting when Im not travelling.
Maybe one day, I can find the reasons to go for it and put all my effort into it, and hopefully, become an RUclipsr or Content Creator that people likes to watch.

Thank you so much for this comment. Believe it or not, I feel often that way, that my life is not interesting enough if I don’t travel, but I feel like that’s just everyone going thru the same thing. We all need routine in our lives and when we’re not traveling that’s where routine and home comes in.

for over 10 years Ive had the dream of becoming some kind of youtuber. had so many ideas of what I wanted to do but I think Ive figured out what I want to create. Vlogs, My favorite genre on youtube that I looove to watch. I have a specific way of wanting to vlog and that Is when Im out with friends, try foods, travel, bmx/skateboard. I got almost everything from a camera to an editing software. All thats missing is a group of friends :).

Getting into RUclips is harder than ever and at the same time easier than its ever been. The tools you need to create are "relativity" easy to get ahold of. Its that mental hurdle today that the hardest part.

thanks for this great video however, you already had a great following on tiktok so it was natural people would follow along and since your work is immaculate more people showed up. for someone who doesn't have a great following, this tip isn't really helpful. but i'm gonna keep doing my own thing as well and hopefully one day i'll have a big following as well!
