Fascinating to hear! I'm an early career neuroscientist looking to work with TMS in my Ph.D. and I really appreciate hearing the story of its beginnings.
My 14 year old hopefully will receive this treatment, i hope you can see this meseage Mr. BARKER because you have change lives, praying that one of these is my beuatifull boy. From the bottom of my heart THANKYOU.
Hello Anthony my name is Anthony John Barker from Titusville Pennsylvania. I was searching our name and came upon your profile and interview. Very interesting to say the least. Ironically enough I graduated from the University of Pittsburgh as a mechanical engineer and worked in food and chemical magnetic processing equipment. My work, creations and patents involved removing metal from everything we eat and drink and many types of industrial bulk powders. I had no idea our name was so popular. One town in England has six Anthony Barkers. Talked to another while visiting Chicago strait out of the phone book. Pleasant fellow as you seem to be. Nice to "meet" you.
What a wonderful interview and dialogue between two giants in the field of Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation! A rich description of the origins of Professor Barker’s ingenious invention of the TMS stimulator and an account of the early excitement that it induced in both Professor Rothwell and others in the field of neurophysiology. This is a must see video for any clinician or researcher in the field of TMS. As the current President of the Clinical TMS Society I encourage all our members to view this historic retrospective of the birth of our field.

Great to see you Tony, it was fascinating watching the prototypes being built back at RHH.
Thank you guys
Amazing interview! There is a famous picture o dr Barker performing TMS in a young lady. Does anyone know who she was?
