Oswald Boelke and Max Immelman still influence aviation and aerial warfare. The Immelman Turn is a staple of aerobatics and BFM. Another awe inspiring build by the way.
Of all the modeling sites I've been to, yours is the best. Your techniques go above and beyond what the others do, and they produce some really fine work. I'd be proud to have this plane displayed in my room. Also, thanks for the low key music and the informative narration. Sometimes the music can be grating on other sites. All in all, your end product looks the most authentic. Great work.
Thankyou that's really great feedback! I didn't expect when I started the channel to get as much support for my work as I have, it's really heartening. This build was my best work yet and i am proud of it ! There was one stage just after decals where i thought it was going the other way but it all pulled together with weathering . Thanks again it means a lot !
Beaut build....really enjoyed the commentary and the weathering process. Such great tips and techniques. It is really good to see the whole process of a WNW build so would relish seeing more of these. Yours Fokker is amazing!
Thanks Robert ! I have a few I'm thinking of doing before tackling another Wingnuts but there will be more. I'd love to do one of the bombers but for now I'll get more experience on some of their smaller offerings.
Thank you so much for these videos. I’m just getting back into modelling after 40 years and so much has changed. I’ve 8 WNW kits but will be starting/building skills on lesser kits, so your videos are brilliant help re technique etc. Thanks again.
you all prolly dont give a shit but does someone know of a way to log back into an instagram account..? I somehow forgot my password. I appreciate any tips you can give me
@Yehuda Quinton i really appreciate your reply. I found the site through google and Im trying it out atm. Takes a while so I will reply here later with my results.
masterpiece! great build, great explanation e very useful suggestions. It will be a pleasure to see you soon with a new build. Thank you for sharing your passion and ability. Cheers, Alessandro
Nice video. When I built the Fokker EIII I sprayed the cowlings with Revell Metalizer aluminum in rattle can then went back over the surface with a brush using the same paint decanted into a paint lid. Though they are the same paint there was just enough contrast in the two applications to make a convincing pattern. I imagine it would work with Alclads paints too.
Thanks ! I tried painting the swirls with different Metallics and masking with frisket but I had trouble with the Metallics not flowing ( unfortunately I couldnt find an enamel ) and when my patience got the better of me they ended up a bit big. Maybe the revell stuff was the awnser! If I see any at shows I'll get some and give it a go thanks !
Awesome build. That model looks stunning !! Do not forget these airplanes had engines with a total-loss oil system. Castor oil was injected with the fuel, the oil turned almost black and was thrown out, along with the spent fuel. The oil ended up on the underside of the airplane, all along the underside of the fuselage !! Up to TWO gallons of castor oil per HOUR came out of these engines, causing these airplanes to get dirty, oily, VERY quickly. You have built an old, weathered airplane with an almost clean underside. This is historically impossible, considering the huge amounts of black oil these engines were throwing out....!! If you see the underside of an old airplane, after a bad landing f.i., and the underside is clean, you can rest assured the airplane was still new !! ;-)
Your work is ....well, just impressive. You have a great intuition as you make your way through the process, your a artist in the first degree. The fact that some people gave this a " thumbs down" really shows you it has nothing to do with criticism but their need for attention and truly shows you what assholes people can be. Your work is brilliant and nothing short of a masterpiece. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Ronnie ! Very kind words, I'm used to the dislikes and they work in my favour luckily, any engagement by anyone is good for the algorithm! Thankyou once again, the next video is another wnw so keep your eyes peeled !
Fantastic work! I wish I could do bi-wing aircraft models again. Thirty years of bucking rivets and related nerve damage makes the rigging next to impossible. But I can watch your videos instead!
@@lpjmodels thank you . It is indeed frustrating. I substitute with wwii and jets. Which is ok, but wwi is Mt first love. I'm thinking of using your painting techniques on the Airfix 1/72 eindecker. Although a tiny model I can still paint and rigging is not readily apparent in that scale. Then again on bigger aircraft I could just go old school and use thread. Those turnbuckles and stretch cable really look awesome on this aircraft.
Great work man. I try to achieve somewhat close to that level of precise quality in my builds...unfortunately I rarely come close, but it’s still an amazing hobby. Thanks for your videos, your work is inspiring. 👍
Fantastic build, paintjob, and excellent narration. I've got this kit in my stash, but as an armour modeller I'm a little nervous about tackling it. I'll be using your video as a guide. Subbed!
The only trouble I had with this was the wings. They ended up sagging in the end ( fixed now) make sure to use a decent glue and/or non elastic rigging on the top. You'll do an awesome job.
Beautiful work! I have saved this film to emulate your surface finishing techniques; particularly for the fabric, the cowlings and the weathering. Just one little detail that detracts to the overall results - the wings are drooping... they should be perfectly level.
Tomas, thankyou very much ! The wings are a shame, it seems the upper rigging and the spars weren't enough to keep them up. Next time I will make a wire full spar to keep them up. I notice it all the time and it bugs me. Many thanks for the kind words.
Could you re-do the lower rigging threads with a little less tension? If the attachment points aren't perfect, at least it wouldn't show as much on the underside of the wings
Hi this my first comment posted here. It's just I had to say thanks for sharing your hobby with us .superb awesome build , great aircraft . Sincerely Chris.
@@lpjmodels Yes it would I have two of the three kits HK did for the B-25, both are the gun nosed versions, the J with 8 50 cals , and the H with the 75mm cannon and 4 50 cals. I think the first WWI kit I ever built was a 1/72 Eindecker ( back in the late 1960s ). Probably a Revell. A few years ago, I bought a 1/48 Eduard kit....but haven't started it yet.

Fascinating. We don't see enough WWI models. Beautiful.
Thanks Guillaume, expect a few more ww1 builds this year
Amazing work! My father built an Eindecker RC model he flew back in the 70s that looked authentic like this
Thanks that would have been cool to see !
Absolutely beautiful job of color blending on the washes especially the fuselage - amazing
Thanks Ralph !
Enjoyed the build/video as I'm getting ready to build the same kit soon. Thank you!
Thanks ! Just be careful with the wings, they have a tendency to sag. I would use non elastic rigging for the upper or a reinforcing spar.
ok....will do

Thanks for sharing some really good techniques...your finished piece is a stunner!
Wow...wonderfully done. Top class. I loved the wood you got from oils and also how you painted the engine cowling. Really top notch stuff.
Superb. I might have a go at my one after watching your great build.
Excellent build. Great techniques through out. I'm not a WWI builder myself but I did want to check this out. Congrats!
Thanks Bob ! I'm really pleased that something outside of your subject matter caught you eye! Many thanks
I really like the way you have presented this build, the whole thing is pretty flipping perfect. Well done and keep them coming please.

I had the same issues with fitting the cockpit assembly into the fuselage so it wasn't your building at fault. Nice build and video
Thanks Allan ! I think the tolerances on these are tight !
Great build mate! Its always the older aircraft that look more complex than they really are, (for some its the other way around
