Hi guys I just have a question, I have only one Personal Computer, what if it has a virus and I will make a bootable flash drive to create a clean reinstall of windows OS, will the virus get in that bootable flash drive or not?
It depends on the Virus. The majority of viruses that affect removable storage are worms that automatically infect removable storage as soon as it's plugged into the infected computer. Based on what these viruses do to the files on the removable storage, you likely wouldn't be able to boot to the USB and you won't be able to execute any of the files on the removable storage either, so you won't even be able to do a reinstall of Windows in the first place using that infected removable storage media. You can create an installation CD/DVD instead which will not get infected and which you can use to reinstall Windows.

@Od1sseas see you didn't pay attention it was only a couple years ago now that kaspersky an bit defender tested at the same 98% that defender just tested at in this video an not a single tester said they were'nt good enough. that's a fact not a lie! this an't my first time on this channel it's more like my millionth an leo always does a good job. the problem is he an other testers can never give defender the credit it deserves. On a newly released ransomware test defender , malwatrebytes. kaspersky, Bit defender, an a crap load of other well known av's all detected all 40 ransomware samples! Those other AV's didn't start out scoring 100% either they had to work their way up to it an defender is doing the same.
For me, Defender is good enough. I am very cautious with my security and I also care a lot about privacy, so Defender is honestly the best option for security software for me. Plus, it doesn't bloat my PC like other AV tends to do.
I've tested many antivirus software this year and Windows Defender is quite poor. I agree with you that quite a few of the big names do use too much bandwidth, but there is an antivirus other than Defender that doesn't. It's called Bitdefender Free. Running 2 anti-virus is more bad than running only any one of them. In my opinion.
@@portman8909 why? you can just add kasperskys free ransomware protection that is made to run along side of defender an problem solved.
I tried a kms activator via script that compiles the files needed on the fly on win11 wich adds a .dll to the exceptions on win defender. It was scary
No legitimate KMS script would need to add .dll exemptions, am I right? Why risk it when you can find a Windows 7 key at an electronics recycler. Or buy a grey key that clearly violates the license agreement starting from 2 USD. Might as well use Linux instead.

I keep my Eset Internet Security + Malwarebytes... I'm doing great and far from malware
Is it possible using Defender and Malwarebytes both using real time protection on?
Yes it is, they work fine together. Just be sure that in Malwarebytes Settings > Security > Windows Security Center ('Always register Malwarebytes in the Windows Security Center is DISABLED. Otherwise it will override Defender as real-time anti-virus protection; keeping it disabled allows real-time protection in both Malwarebytes (with Premium version) and Defender.
I am interested if you allowed Internet after the encryption bit would it help or no ?
Would you consider doing a test of HP Wolf Security? It shipped on my new notebook and despite my best attempts at Googling I can’t find an objective review anywhere. Results seem to swing wildly from HP and their partners saying it is the best thing since sliced bread and everyone should use it, to users saying it is absolute bloke where that should be removed at your first available opportunity. I suspect the truth is somewhere in the middle but would like to know for sure.
Do Avast one vs Ransomware... Its better now
Hi guys I just have a question, I have only one Personal Computer, what if it has a virus and I will make a bootable flash drive to create a clean reinstall of windows OS, will the virus get in that bootable flash drive or not?
It depends on the Virus. The majority of viruses that affect removable storage are worms that automatically infect removable storage as soon as it's plugged into the infected computer. Based on what these viruses do to the files on the removable storage, you likely wouldn't be able to boot to the USB and you won't be able to execute any of the files on the removable storage either, so you won't even be able to do a reinstall of Windows in the first place using that infected removable storage media. You can create an installation CD/DVD instead which will not get infected and which you can use to reinstall Windows.
is this standard Defender or Defender for endpoint from E5 subscription?
think this may be the standart defender. but if you use DefenderUI Freeware you can activate the hidden features of endpoint version.

Windows Defender doesn't disappoint as usual it is not good even for a free product.
Acronis still too expensive with a discount as I got a better deal for Bitdefender plus you need to pay to get the storage space for the Acronis cloud backup to work
funny when kaspersky and bit defender were testing at the same rate of effectiveness as defender which wasn't that long ago you didn't say they weren't good enough. why does defender have to be held to a different standard than those AV's?
@@breakingthe4thwall260 Oh look a troll!
@@zetectic7968 Oh look a hater!

Kid when he does not watch the whole video: I’m proud to be using Window Defender
Hello. i need tips on how not to get a virus, but i dont really want to download an antivirus.
Its detection rate is far superior to Defender's but without slowing you down.
Thank me later 👍
@@BD4-ManchesterIsRed I used Bitdefender until they pulled the scam to push people onto their pro version. I cannot, in good conscience, support a company like that. If I were to use a third-party AV, I'd go back to Kaspersky even with its performance impact.
Like I said, Defender serves its purpose for me. I have nothing against people who like other AVs but for me, Defender in combo with other security software/features/sites and common sense is definitely enough for me.
@@BD4-ManchesterIsRed I have 4 words about Bitdefender: Eating rams a lot

So Windows Defender sucks?
it blocked most of the randomware so it is pretty good for a free anti virus software
