Back in 2015, this song was played all over the radio in Kerala. I had a friend named Athira in high school. We went to same tution center but from different schools. There was this guy called Vishnu who always came to our tution centre at sharp 6:30 with chocolates and flowers only to see Athira. We used to tease him by saying GiriRajan is Back. But he was super nice guy. He came there everyday without any absence. Vishnu and Athira were the best ship in our friend's circle. Aftr graduation i lost all the contacts with them. Recently i happn to know that Vishnu dies after drowning in the river and that was so shocking news for me. May his soul rest in peace.
Whenever i watch this song, it reminds me of him and those young days we had together.

What a song this is. I just love the raw teenage emotions that Nivin Pauly shows here and also how anupama acts and emotes. !! love it. also I agree premam in malayalam was a classic but guys in telugu - give nagachaitanya a chance too to perform. more than that the director - chandoo mondeti on premam in telugu is a young and dynamic guy who created wonders in his first movie - karthikeya. I am watching out for him as how good he can translate the great PREMAM to telugu audience. A classic can never be the same when it is remade. there can be some exceptions too. i also agree Nani would have been a good choice for the Mary and Celine parts of Premam but for Malar part - where nivin has beard - chaitanya looks good for that part. Hoping for a decent remake of telugu PREMAM. if they can get 60% of the emotions and feel of the original premam - i think they have succeeded in remaking it. More Power to Chandoo Mondeti and Nagachaitanya. I am glad they retained Mary - Anupama and Celine - Madonna but for purely business reasons - they chosen Sruthi Hassan for Malar character. Chaitanya market in telugu is not big and also not great and he is still a upcoming mid-range hero. Sruthi is on a great form with great blockbusters since 2014 in telugu. Her presence and the director talent wit Karthikeya movie makes the telugu premam movie business work in telugu states.
