Rún has always been my favorite song from Skàld. This version is even better. Amazing work!
This is so freaking beautiful! As others have said this is my first song that I found by Skald and it continues to be a favorite. I love how it has gone from an anthem and war cry to this haunting lullaby that fills me with peace. You guys are awesome!

Having just recently watched the Northman. Well let me describe it.
A young child leaps onto his mother's killer. Slashing and stabbing away with a small knife with all the fury of a warrior. He gets thrown off and meets his death at the killer's sword.
Moments later he hears this song. This very song which his mother used to sing to him. Only this time, it is being sung by a beautiful valkyrie. Like a mother, she slowly guides him to the gates of Valhalla. Being the youngest to ever enter Odin's great hall.
The other warriors take him in as his new family. The gods have a special set of armor and weapons crafted talored to fit him. Slowly but surely the other warriors show him how to fight properly.
Using his small size to his advantage, he develops his own techniques. With every respawn he hones them to perfection. Eventually his mother's killer enters Valhalla. He targets him everytime the great battle. For he has all of the time in the world to get his revenge.
