Imagine getting married WITHOUT your only child being present. Logan being her emotional support is amazing.
@surlespasdondineno
Right …
This storyline, while disappointing, made sense to me. They are adult lovers, with teenage minds when they are around each other.
Louder
I think that was the point. They never grew around each other after 16. Thats why it didn't work for them.
Unpopular opinion - I hated this storyline more than Luke and April
I hate them both equally 😂😂
They ruined that seasons for me
They were both equally terrible and completely improbable lol
One led to the other. They're apart of the same branch for me...
Same
She got over Luke so unrealistically quickly and vice verca
It's just so disrespectful to get married without Rory being there. It's like they knew it was the wrong move, no witnesses
I hate that Lorelai dumped Luke and married Christopher. Yea they married in the revival but I really hated that season 7 Lorelai married an awful guy after she and Luke got into a fight
@@arlonfoster9997
Agree
@@laurafabianmarrero it’s like when my mom ended her friendship with a old family friend who is the mom of a old childhood friend of mine because of a fight and she still continued being friends with the mom’s ex fiancee who is a jerk and I don’t like him because he insulted my sisters once barging into my house when I was 13 in 2016 and who is just awful. To this day I still miss my old friend and her mom they were better than this jerk and I really don’t understand my mom I have the right to rekindle my old friendship with my old friend and her mom even after my mom and her mom ended their friendship because of a fight and I will never agree with my mom just like I don’t like how Lorelai dumped Luke and married Chris who is worse than Luke. Luke actually cared about Rory and Lorelai. It is sickening
@@arlonfoster9997 they always create unnecesary drama
Like marrying Chris
And april SL Who was the worse
She was even in the new future a bad charather 😂
Couldnt stand that girl
@@laurafabianmarrero yes sounds like my mom as well
Actually crazy. Was probably a time where her parents being together and getting married was her dream but…not like this
Rory’s hair color, her dress and makeup are all perfect
I watched gilmore girls so many time why can't I remember this. It feels like a fever dream
Lol, I rewatch it every three months or so but usually try to block season 6 and 7 out of my memory. I wish those two were different!
yeah. I dont remember this as well
Lorelai wanted to wait to marry Luke until her and Rory were talking again so she can be there.
…and here she just ups and marries Christopher with almost zero hesitation.
That is how You know It was never going to work between them
In fact lorelai had a lot of hesitations but christopher really pressured her to marry him
@@7xi_7xi88L You could tell when the come back
An was alone looking at her ring she didnt look all that Happy
You know what? I like how they wrote Christopher‘s humor, his quips are very similar to Lorelai‘s. I can see how they fell for each other back in the day and then again as adults. They seem more likeminded in that respect, while Luke was the grump who was tougher to crack, but of course Luke and Lorelai are endgame.
I actually liked Luke and Lorelai as friends but yea luke was a more dependable partner Chris wasn’t a good reliable partner honestly so maybe that’s why
Rory isn’t mad because they didn’t invite her. If that were the reason, she could have expressed that in front of her dad. She’s specifically mad at her mom, because deep down she knows this was a flighty and impulsive mistake by her mother and it’s not going to last, and it’s going to end up causing pain and drama for her dad, herself, Luke, and everyone else in their lives. And the mess is going to be greater than if Lorelei impulsively married someone like Max, because this is Rory’s actual father, who she’s been dreaming about for years being a bigger part of her life, and after years of Lorelei defiantly insisting she was doing the right thing by NOT marrying her baby-daddy, Lorelai has basically just shown she’s ultimately motivated by her own selfish desires and not by the bigger picture.
Rory should have been petty. "Well first i dont hear about one engagement then another marriage"
Yes!
Christopher and Lorelai getting married in France was so stupid. I think they were caught up in the romantic feeling of Paris.
Pretty sure you can't just get married in France without stuff like original birth certificates, official translations of documents, etc. It takes time, it's not like Vegas.
I trust a European courtship more than I do a Vegas one
Actually, as Americans, you cannot really marry in a French church - that is simply not legally binding in France!
You need a civil wedding first - and that is only possible, if you ARE French, are born in France, live or work in France, or, upon special request with the local mayor, if you - or one of your parents - owns a house in Fance!
So, the only way they could have been legally married is, that they went to an U.S. Ambassy…

But the one in Paris is definitively not in a beautiful church in Giverny
Do you realize this is fiction right???😮😂
Lorelai really doesn't like telling Rory about things like getting engaged or getting married?
She knew how she would react and that it might upset her. She knew they were crazy for getting married like they did.
@@malloryweeks3306 guess you haven't watched the show?
@@mrbear1302 I actually have. Several times
In the course of several marathon re-watchs of this series, Lorelai became more and more an unpleasant and obnoxious character to me; I think the first time I watched GG I was completely brainwashed by Lorelai's bright personality, extreme fast but clear talking and how stunning she is. That first impression is gone: the way the world should revolve around her, always, about everything and how she always fails to put herself in other people's shoes is shocking. If the roles were reversed, there will be no end to her whining; she wouldn't have been able to even buy a donut at Luke's without making the donut talk about her woes for not being included. Rory couldn't even get a haircut without telling her mother because We'Re bEsT FrIeNdS. But her marrying her dad on an impulse? Perfectly acceptable.
Ooh I hate Christopher. I hate that his relationship with Rory is so dependent on how his relationship with Lorelai happens to be going. It's like he doesn't really give two shits about his own kid
if I was Rory I would absolutely get mad for a at least a few days. like how can you get married without telling your only child that you continue tell is “the most important person in your life”. i think that Lorelei is still a teenager, she is not mature at all
I don't care how good a cook you are. You're not going to make me eat snails
0:58 who's this person with blue sleeves...? Rory is wearing black??💀
Lorelai
@@sarahlindsay7767 ? I’m clearly not talking about lorelai lmao
lol good observation
Well spotted!
And Rory had already put down the salad utensils in the previous shot too...
Rory had every right to react this way. I said what I said. Christopher just sucks for Lorelai. I don’t know why the writers thought this would be a good idea. She was acting unbelievably childish and immature after she gave Luke an ultimatum. It shouldn’t have been this way at all, but I’m glad they made her and Luke get back together because that was the right thing to do. He’s the parent who stepped up!!! Family doesn’t have to be blood and Rory and Luke’s relationship is proof of that. This whole thing isn’t about that either, though… it’s about how Rory wasn’t present as a witness during the wedding. She should’ve been there. They’re her biological parents. I don’t understand how they didn’t invite her to watch them get married even if it’s wrong. It was a huge moment in her life and they made her miss it. I still wish this whole storyline never happened, though!
Uhm, is it even possible to get married in another country on the go like you would in a Vegas chapel?
My understanding is that bureaucracy takes weeks if not months to approve it all and you need birth certificates to prove your identity. This sounds BS to me.
Actually, no. In Ukraine you can get married the same day you apply for it, and you can even get married online. Legally and officially. You can also register your children online. And you don't need your birth certificates for anything but for receiving your passport
I can't believe im here this early
Christopher is a jerk.
He did some jerky things. I don't really think anything in this clip makes him a jerk.

I actually really like Lorelai and Christopher together
The have so much chemistry. And getting married in Paris was a crazy romantic thing to do. But TPTB were never going to keep them together. The fans wanted her with Luke. Not necessarily this fan, lol, but still.
Yea, deadbeat dads are so attractive
I like them as friends not as a couple

Lorelei can't live with a man. Ain't no way. Lol.
What about Lorelai? Can Lorelai live with a man?

I know Lorelai did something not great, but the way Rory talks to her is so not it. Don't be a little jerk to your mom bro.
