Was a while before I found this. Well done. The only criticism I can think of is that the pilots' faces look like they're almost blank faced staring at the "camera" rather than the action, but considering how old this video is, you've probably fixed that by now. The battle itself is also somewhat anticlimactic and over rather quickly, but considering the combatants involved, it fits.
Lordy, I didn't know this existed. Very interesting short story! I hope you will come back to revisit making more videos like this one for MechWarrior/BattleTech
Thank you. I'm definetely not the best artist, I do pride myself on being a decent director though. So I tried making up for bad CGI with all the other elements as much as I could.
It is fascinating to see your progress. Even just looking at the thumbnails of your videos over the years shows a ton of skill development. You already had a solid base, but you're becoming a BEAST. Check out this persons' clips. You will be seeing his work someday on a bigger screen mmw!
Thanks! I'm certainly working on having some of my CG work get to a bigger screen, although a "bigger screen" in this case is "just" a national TV ad. :)
Remember Mechwarrior belongs to Battletech franchise. There is a tabletop game "Battletech A Game Of Armored Combat". Without it your experience is not complete. If yiu feel the rules are too intimidating (because it is very "simulationist") you may read the rulebook while watching the videos fro Battletech Fan channel that are a visual guide to the rulebook.

Just take the Battle Values from the Boardgame - and thats not even considering the Superiority of the Clan Pilot. Timberwolf (Mad Cat) BV = 2,737 Bushwhacker BV = 1,223
Nah Madcat win hands down, bushwacker pilot shoulda used his SRM's and just as heading for critiecal he shoulda Alpha striked the bushy to breaking point before punching out... but still I enjoyed watching this :) very nice
Whyyy am I finding all this stuff so long after the fact?? You did good.

man how can someone possibly dislike all the effort put into my favorite game since I was 6 it makes me cringe.
That was one brave freebirth, lol.
This was really damn good. I would love to see a series of this type of scenarios / battles with this drawing style. got that Animatrix feel.
Wow the art direction really compensated for the armature CGI. Very well done.

You did well, I recommend making a sequil and having the Smoke Jaguar meet his match.
I liked the video enough to fully watch it.
