My description already describes it. In fact, it wasn't really on a world at all, it happened on an asteroid, but I didn't have that (yet, will with dlc), so for cinematic purposes I chose lush world instead.
Yup, the fact that the Wolfhound uses a full head ejection system instead of the way more common ejection seat saved Phelans life, otherwise the hostile environment would had killed when was forced to abandon his mech, the book where those events are detailed is one the best on the Battltech inventory.
The Kell Hounds were hunting pirates in that region. They watched Clan Wolf exterminating the pirates, and Phelan actually fought back clan mechs. Clan mechs were not invisible, they just have better range on their weapons, better everything. Shooting from behind is very dishonourable for clanners.
Yeah, Phelan was with his lance, who was also shot down. Phelan also messed up Vlad's paint scheme with his Large Laser before being taken down from the front.
I spent the entirety of 2020 watching MW5 videos, and this just popped up on my feed today. Stupid YT. Very nice video! I hope they do a DLC of the clan invasion for MW5, I want that Timberwolf/Madcat!
This isn't exactly how Phelan encountered the Clans. If you read Lethal Heritage, he wasn't alone. He had at least 1 lancemate and he encountered a band of pirates whose mechs had been decimated by Clan Wolf when they arrived. He also landed a few hits on Vlad's MadCat (I refuse to call it by it's Clan name) before he was forced to eject from his Wolfhound.
Timberwolfs have always been one of my favorite Mechs. You piloted one in the old Sega Genesis Battletech video game, and I always used it when I played MechWarrior 2!
@@StingrayProductionsZone I just hope they release a patch expanding our mech storage, whether de-facto or with an option to purchase bigger ships, planetside storage/depot facilities, etc.
rejoice, there is a clan mod! though most models are very janky for now, but its an ambitious mod that flat out eventually wants the clans to properly invade the map, and its getting weekly updates
Pretty, but completely inaccurate. The Kell Hounds were hunting Pirates. The Rock is a system massive asteroids with a barely breathable atmosphere. The residents had to harvest comets to even get water (Mentioned in description above). The Clans showed up as the Kell Hounds were finishing mopping the floor with Kenny Ryan's pirate group on Sisyphus's Lament. The Lance was not lead by Phelan Kell. And that's just the wiki entry on "The Rock." About the only thing accurate in this is the fact that it involved Phelan Kell piloting a Wolfhound and a Timberwolf.
The minute the intro said "Ran into a Timber Wolf" i was like "Oh No!" His Lance is not equipped to fight a heavy. You don't want to run into a Timber Wolf or Mad Cat; they are extremely deadly heavy mechs.
"Comstar seems sure that nothing is wrong." Yeah sure. e...e They were tooooooootally clueless. They didnt know ANYTHING about the deals they made with the Clans to black out all communications from the worlds they were invading.
This is so cool... I am literally right in the middle of this book! Ok, edit: Wow, Phelan had no such briefing before he encountered the new Mech's. They were chasing a typical pirate band (a Locust and a Griffin) and ran headlong into this Clan formation with absolutely no warning, let alone "reports of suspicious activity..." or Lost Communication capabilities. His lance was literally blindsided. He did, briefly, see his opponent before he had to eject. Nice visuals, but Canon, please? At least you got the Mechs right... ;)
I don’t seem to remember Vlad Wolf shooting Kell in the back. In fact Kell almost beat him the first time the met. That’s why Vlad hated him so much. The first non pirate “ inferior “ warrior he meets nearly kills him. Just his bad luck who he ran into I guess. Maybe he would have had better luck with Kai Allard- Liao or maybe not…. Lol
please , if you do some historical cinematics that are well known to fans with all detals , do it proper ! Cuz I` was expected something clicking on link and got only disappointment for spending 8 minutes of life . Sorry

I love how bitching betty says Marauder/Catapult detected, true to the lore of how the Inner Sphere initially called the Timber Wolf "Mad Cat"
Basically, the Clans stuck the Marauder's PPC arms on a beefed-up Catapult, scary smart idea!
Didn’t Kell and co. encounter the Clans (Wolf specifically) on a lifeless, barren world, not a vibrant, luscious one?
My description already describes it. In fact, it wasn't really on a world at all, it happened on an asteroid, but I didn't have that (yet, will with dlc), so for cinematic purposes I chose lush world instead.
@@StingrayProductionsZone also Phelan fought against Vlad and would still be shot in the back! 😜 But still well done! 🤗

This could be a thing later on..seeing as some clan mechs are hidden in the files.

if you read the description, you learn I changed a few things for cinematic reasons.
Timberwolf, IFTFY (I am a filthy clanner BTW)
Call it Timberwolf, you surat.
I dislike surat's that use improper names of mechs.
how about the beginning of the grey death legion?
Which book is this from
Not cannonically accurate, but still good.

I wish they someone would make a Clan mod. It is like the makers of the game are not even fan of the Battletech/Mechwarrior universe at all.
I've always been a clan mech man myself. I wait anxiously for the clan mechs.

Or they were more intrested in the pre-clan invasion era when there wasn't a faction better at every single thing then everyone else?
How about a standalone? ;)

Brilliant. Awesome.👍👍👍
thanks!
From the books, I thought the Rock was an asteroid.
bro these videos are made so well, you deserve more subs. You put in a lot of work and I respect that.

Dude how did you record this? I've been wanting to do cinematics in MW5 ever since the release but I have no idea how to do it
I hope eventually mech warrior 5 gets official dlc with clan Mechs. ATM there are some great mods that add some.
Hb a whole clan game🙂
@@Ironhold_Watch I heard that. I'll be buying it but I would still love a dlc for the main game over a separate thing.

Not quite. I didn't see Grinner in the 'Mech bay in the beginning.
Well done, though it was dune way outside the lore.
My only complaint is that there's no Wolfhound in the 'Mech bay. Grinner is Phelan Kell's personal ride.
